I have a fish & I bought this timer for his light. It performs perfectly Withe epthe exception that every 5 to 7 weeks the timer Dail needs reset it will over that time end up running Fast & jumping ahead 1 or 2 Hours & most importantly it leaves the outlet above or below uncovered Does it work :Yes Dose it perform: yes Is it perfect :no can I live with that: considering to work well there then that , Yes It's still not a bad Buy Happy with it

Bypass Switch & Slim Design Are a Plus
I've used mechanical lamp timers for many years, and love them for their simplicity, efficiency, and safety. Had to replace one that eventually wore out, and opted for the Woods Slim Body Timer. Perfect choice, as it sits above my laptop charger nicely. I absolutely love the bypass switch on this unit! I can quickly flip the lamp on when I'm working at my desk on cloudy days, and switch back to auto mode for the evening. The on/off pins are a little touchy. One bump and you upset the whole apple cart. I suppose this is a drawback to being able to set 10-15 minute increments, which require more pins, so you just have to be mindful of that limitation when setting your time periods and placing the timer in the wall socket. All told, this is a great timer and I am very happy with it.

Careful when placing.
Works great and is easy to use. Be careful when placing. As hourly pins are pulled "up" to turn on lights, if it is plugged into a wall behind a cabinet that can be moved, even inadvertently by bumping, the cabinet pushes the pins back into to the off "down"position. I have one that the cleaner moves the small cabinet out to plug in her vacuum. When she is finished she unplugs the vacuum and pushes the cabinet back in place accidentally pushing in all the pins that represent the "on" positions. The next cycle never happens as all the pins are now in the "off" position.

Very Delicate Dial Buttons
You get what you pay for. The device works, but the dial buttons will go down at the slightest touch, which makes the initial set-up and any changes (e.g., seasonal) a bit frustrating. But yes, it works.

Fits older 12volt controllers
Updated version of a timer for an older Vista 12volt controller. Easy install and 24-hour setting. Plug prongs in right place and can use in covered space outdoors.

Basic functional timer
This is the basic type of timer that I generally get when I only have one item to plug into it. The little up/down "buttons" around the edge is all that's needed to set the timer. But I always write with a marker what is the "on" or "off" way "up" or "down". I don't keep the little instruction sheet and I know that after a while I'll forget how this goes. It's easy enough to figure out but if it's written there for you, you don't have to figure it out. Anyway, this works well; not expensive; but keep in mind that it works with only one plug. If that's what you need, this timer is for you.

Works like a charm
Easy to set up, easy to adjust the time settings. Nice to have a grounded plug option as many are only for non-grounded appliances. There is an on/off indicator light, but since this one is behind a couch we don't use that feature. Great home security device and nice to have lights go on at a certain time when we are at home too. Some other reviewers actually complained that all the pins are depressed on arrival, so they had to figure out to lift all except during the time they want the power on. Silly complaint IMO, the pins are probably depressed to protect them during shipping and it takes literally about 3 seconds to lift them all.

Excellent Value For Your Mondy
I purchased a few Woods timers both this and it's counterpart. So far I installed 4 of these, and on 2 of these the LED is already not working. That reflects 50% . It didn't bother me enough to return to Amazon, and as a matter of fact it would have been far more work than it was worth. I do not need to see the LED lit up to know that I am using a timer on the circuit, and that is why I decided to keep the unit.

Does not accurately keep time
The title says it all. It's easy to operate, but it loses at least an hour of time a week, which renders it worthless.

For only $10 bucks this is a great timer, I have it set up to turn on light when I work nights.
