If it fits - it works well

This is a very useful item - however - as it is supplied - the hole for the tree trunk is quite small - something between 1" and 1.5" ... For the tree I was trying to protect had a larger trunk -- and so I had to increase the size of the opening to accommodate a 2" or larger trunk. This baffle is made of quite substantial metal - and cutting it - was not easy. But for the price -- I couldn't find a better option. Now its on the tree I'm pleased with it

Keeps the squirrels at bay

This works as intended to keep the squirrels out of my feeders. They’re forced to forage on the ground for fallen seed or stay at their corn & peanut feeder intended for them. Only reason I gave 4 stars in because the coupler that holds the baffle on the pole has worn over the last 3yrs and the baffles fall to the ground. I’ve attempted some fixes which work for awhile. Wish you could buy the coupler separately for when they wear out. Overall, would recommend and buy again.

Loose Fit

The product works very well. The only reason I gave 4 stars was due to the fit on the pole. I used a small hose clam to keep it from sliding down the pole. The actual bracket should be made smaller.

Squirrel stopper

All metal construction, excellent powder coat finish, large diameter cone (3" larger than most). The post connector did not grip my crook securely, but several layers of tape beneath the connector solved the problem. If not for this I would have rated it 5 stars.

It works

I've had this for over a month outside of my office window. There's 3 regulars that eat under the feeder and I see these squirrels daily. They always try to go up the feeder's pole but have been unsuccessful. As long and they can't jump on the cone from a nearby object, this seems to do the trick.

Good metallic squirrel baffle

Cut a small piece of old garden hose, split it length-wise, and used that as a 'bushing' under the provided mounting hardware. Works great!

No more PESKY squirrels!

After years of struggling with squirrels getting into my bird feeders, I am so happy to report that this protective baffle ACTUALLY WORKS! I am using it with the Deluxe Bird Feeder Pole also found on Amazon. The 90” height of the bird feeder pole is enough to install (easy to do) the Audubon wrap around shield so that I can hang my bird feeders and thwart the squirrels. They can’t jump past the shield and can’t climb the pole. I have not had a problem with them chewing the mounting bracket on that holds the shield up on the pole. Very, very grateful I’m no longer spending my hard-earned money on bird seed only to see it be wolfed down by my neighborhood squirrels!

Great squirrel and raccoon amusement!

Issue, squirrels and raccoon wanting seeds from feeder.... chewing or knocking down breaking... frustrated grandma! So... mission... daughter research... metal... size.... Deployed with grandpa, under the supervision of grandma... No more complaints about squirrels!

It has worked for me

I was sceptical about this as a squirrel deterant but it does work. The bolts to connect to the pole didn't tighten enough for my pole but I padded it out by wrapping foil around the post and this has worked. It says put it nearer the ground, but mine is almost at the top of the crook because the squirrels could jump above it otherwise. So far, two weeks in, it has solved the problem.

Plastic not metal DON'T BUY

Plastic not metal. The item received isn't the same as advertised. The clips to hold it to post were too big and again not as advertised. The skirt was plastic and there were no ties just little cut out flaps that you were supposed to press into cuts on other side. Didn't work, couldn't get it to hold together. Refund requested but not received. Don't buy. False advertising.

Simple but effective

Why are these not available in the UK; they probably are but not according to Google. Much better than the plastic counterpart which smashed when a strong wind blew over the feeding station (and the fixing components had also been well chewed by squirrels). Been attached for almost 2 months and none of the 3 squirrels which frequent our garden have got past it.

Not the best but works adequately

But expensive but difficult to find these itens made in England The part that fifa on the upright of the bird feeding station didn't go together very easily
