A great solution for disabled or bedridden person

We have a son who is 18 with c/p and it has been harder to get him in and out of the bath. This tub is great we set it up on his bed it was more comfortable and for obvious reason easy to transfer next to tub for drying and dressing. I normally don't write reviews I have some tips whatever sink you decide to use for the hand held shower it will spray and leak a little this does not effect the shower spray at all but, makes a mess so I just put a towel over it and problem solved. Also the drain hose I just ran it into the bath tub and it worked like a charm you can also use toilet or what ever works to drain water it drained fast i thought also no water leakage around the end that you put into basin. The shower nozzle worked much better than I suspected for such a small sprayer it has a lot of spray power. I did not turn it off at all even tho it does have this option but really no need since the tub is really big and deep. Another tip is you can put a pillow or something under the tub at head end and that will help with soapy water go to end to drain. So in a nut shell it is a great way to shower someone my son was very happy liked it much better than the tub way more comfortable . Also very easy to inflate and deflate. Much easier on the person who gives the bath to. Another nice thing it is portable so where you go it can go.

It works

Purchased for my wife, so I can only relay her comments. 1. Comfortable after I put a 4 in bed topper from Walmart under it. It also allowed the drain at the foot to have clearance/room for the hose. She actually falls asleep. 2. Hose for drain, my my case had to be cut, just to much drain hose. 3. Water/shower hose. Had a hard time finding a way to provided show water. My bathroom set up was not standard. Finally found an adapter to use on the shower. Shower head was not standard. (Just moved into the house in March - discovering many short cuts by the builder). 4. Supplied vacuum. Works to drain water and blow up the shower bed. 5. Visiting physical therapist, was surprised. Discussed the related merits of hygiene and PT. Overall, it works great. But there is a learning curve in use. So take your time and understand that you will need to use it, to get better at using it. Of note - I built a supporting role out platform that goes above the current tub. This enables me to leave it in place for use and creates storage below (still building it). I'll add a pic when it is finished.

Overall I like the EZ-Bathe tub. My daughter is disabled and this is really the only option besides a sponge bath that we have for her. The tub itself inflates fast was the setup was easy enough. The draining process was slow and she became cold. I will be looking into a pump to help with this process. The major drawback was that the description made it sound like it included a 25 foot long hose with an attached shower head and it wasn't in the box. I have been unable to find one to purchase and Amazon only offers returns with no obvious way to contact the company. I had to use a garden hose attached to my shower to reach her bed which is far from ideal. Update: The company reached out to me and told me that the product was supposed to come with the shower head. They mailed it out to me immediately and it works very well with the tub. It also works well with our salon bowl and for hygiene when used with a bedpan. Overall I am extremely happy with the purchase.

Fantastic - highly recommend

Purchased EZ-Bathe for my mother-in-law because a bed sponge bath was not cutting it. She was not satisfied without running water over her. This tub has worked so well and my wife brags to everyone how well it works! We do have a few tips for users or those considering purchasing. We do not let water collect in the tub and instead use the wet-dry vac to suck out the water. That way the bather does not get too cold. We did face missing parts from the kit - returned and reordered. Between the two tubs we were able to make a full kit. We also use a second wet dry vac (that we already had) - used one for wet and one for dry. Two vacs prevents getting moisture inside the the blow-up air chamber allowing mildew to grow.

Great until it isn’t…

Used for 8 months and then it sprung a leak. I’ll buy one of the cheaper ones next since this doesn’t last any longer.

It worked better than I expected

It worked better than I expected, though it would have helped to have more complete instructions. My husband used an electric pump to inflate the basin, but it took a while for us to figure out there's a nozzle made especially for mattresses. We had the wrong nozzle on the pump and it didn't work. Once we switched nozzles it went well, but you DO need a pump. The basin did just what it was supposed to do. My mother, whose hair I was washing, was so comfortable she fell asleep part way through. I laid a shower curtain under the basin just in case, but nothing leaked. It took a lot of water to lather twice and then use conditioner, which meant three trips back and forth to the bathroom with a pitcher and a gallon jug to replenish my supply of fresh water and empty the bucket of used water. It would have worked better with a streamlined washing method that used less water or with some means of holding more water near the bed. I poured water over my mother's hed from a plastic pitcher, but there wasn't enough room inside the basin to maneuver such a large container. One of those bags that hold water and dispense it through a hose might be a good investment if you have something to suspend it from. I think it would be easier to maneuver the nozzle of the hose than clumsily angle a pitcher.

Frightening cancer warning meant elderly relations were too afraid to use it

Bought for elderly relations, but not used, as the labelling in the photo above was the first thing they saw. It said ‘WARNING! This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm’. Needless to say they didn’t use it as they were too frightened by the warning - a hair washing support product that causes cancer is not what they need, when they are both already unwell. This label needs to be either removed or given context.

A very good buy

I purshard this as I’m disabled and wheelchair bound and was desperate for a hairdresser to come to my home to colour/cut my hair I finally found a mobile hairdresser but silly of me but I didn’t think of how she was going to wash the dye out of my whilst keeping me dry as I have a wet room, a friend of mine said her hairdresser has a blow up thing like this that she uses over her kitchen sink to wash her hair, so on to amazon I went on a mission to find the best one after a lot of looking I decided to get this one mainly because I didn’t want to spend loads if it wasn’t much good or didn’t work for job I needed it for and I can honestly say it worked a treat I wheeled into my wet room put this on and tilted my head slightly and the hairdresser did the rest, one thing I would point out as the person using it ie me has to control holding it by the black strap attached so you have to constantly hold it tightly and in a position that tilts it so if a frail elderly lady was using it I would maybe choose a different one also my neck is on the large side so fits in the gap snug which works better for me as if my neck was smaller water would run down my back but because my neck fits snug it protects water from going everywhere so a very positive first time use for me but not the hairdresser on the other hand standing in my wet room left her with two wet feet lol but I was dry and that was a good thing for being able to have my hair done at home hassle free. On the second use my hairdresser wore black sacks on her feet lol and my back got a little wet unlike the 1st time but I personally think the hairdresser was getting me back for getting her feet wet first time lol it wasn’t a great deal that a blast with the hairdryer dried me think it was my fault using a different sack over back of wheelchair a smaller one than time before so I’ll use same next time I used first time then the back won’t get water on but a all round god send for me as being unable to get out it allows me to have my hair coloured at home regularly very pleased with it also if dye gets on it it will come off easily with a damp cloth.

They can't even BOTHER TO RESPOND ! To say it is another £6 to return it is truly terrible.

The item wasn't the cheapest, The item wasn't the the most expensive either, The 'basic' inflatable hair washing in bed item started @ £10.+. The most expensive rose & past £30+. The 'deluxe' version was worth noting to go by as alot of the items were the same. I'm obviously going by different companies . I chose a mid range price but it had an added piece for a 'headrest'.Set to further, set back towards the centre of the 'pool part' is.... Today I received my item- 'deluxe', version but The writing matter included was the word 'deluxe' yet ithe photo just was of the basic versions and... the item I chose because of the 'added extra neck support' and I am left here having paid more money for a very basic version of this item . I am disappointed and the thing is that if I send it back I have to pay yet again. As I say I have paid extra already. It should be that this company gets into trouble with the fact what is received is NOT what is pictured or sold described but costs too much to return!

Little difficult to use...but a godsend nonetheless

Due to significant health issues I am no longer able to make it into the shower. A bed wash is all well and good, but I’ve been using those awful no rinse shampoo shower caps for the last few months, which don’t really get your hair feeling properly clean. So discovering this has been a total godsend. It is a little cumbersome for my nurses to use, and is very tight round the neck making rinsing there a little difficult unless you move your neck out of the support (in which case it stops being 100% watertight). But that being said, we are managing with a couple of towels on the bed to catch the odd drips, which is small price to pay for finally having properly clean hair.

Does what it says though the draining tube a bit fiddly

Pretty much looks like it does in the picture. I think we have a defect on the cushion as it was very hard, near impossible to blow up. Almost as if the valve was faulty and not allowing air in. We jammed some scissors carefully through the whole to open it up which worked although still incredibly hard. Needless to say we have left the pillow inflated after use. The unit itself inflated okay. The tube was obviously kinked in packaging but that was not the issue with draining. The pressure of the basin itself pretty much blocked the draining tube off. We have only used once and I think I may sit it on a bit of wood next time to stop it sinking into the bed. If I can correct it for next time then it may be more usable. Fingers crossed. Not a great item but I think it could well be usable with a few little tweaks in place.
