Used once, went flat
I have used these products for many many years, and have used a few different kinds. This one isn't particularly favorite design, but the one that I used to use I cannot find. With that said… , I found myself without any replacements so I had to come find some more. I've been using this type for probably close to a year and 1/2 now. I changed to these, because they were super cheap a couple of years ago … But not from this company. -- I digress… I came to Amazon to search for some new ones because I was using my last one… I found this listing and it seemed OK. So I bought one… I used it once and two days later when I went to use it again, it was flat. I immediately came out here to report a problem and I was able to request another one. I received it a few days later, used It as normal, however, Two days later, when I went to use again, it was flat. So I don't know if they have a bad batch right now, but I went and ordered a totally different time from a different company. I just needed something right away, otherwise I would have probably tried to get another one of those type. It just will not be from this company again. Quick summary: bought one, went flat. Got a replacement also went flat… Recommendation: find another company to purchase from.

Very good for bed bound people
This product is very good for bed bound people. My first one only lasted six months before the seam started to undo itself and I had to replace it. I was drying it with a towel and may have used too much pressure on it. You have to add air every once in a while but that is not a problem for me. I don't expect this inflatable product to last over a year with daily usage, and that is expected. I had ordered two this last time and one had a defective seam and wouldn't inflate. That happens. However, I was very impressed with Amazon when it came to returning and replacing it. The process was easy and smooth. I recommend this product. It is much better than using the no rinse shampoos and my mom enjoys the process.

Good tool but needs a slight redesign
I have purchased three different Shampoo Basins in the last three years for my mother. This model is lightweight and comfortable to rest her neck unlike the non-inflatible variety. However, because of its small size, the water does not drain easily due to the compression of the drainage hole when an individual rests their head on the basin. The only solution is to move the basin close to the edge of the bed to allow the water drain out, however, this places the elderly person dangerously close to the edge of the bed. Possible solution is to place the drainage exit on the side rather than the bottom of the basin and slightly increase the width size of the basin. Otherwise, for the price, it is a good tool for a bedbound person.

best thing I ever found to wash a bed ridden clients hair...
I used it on my friend who is in bed all the time today and it worked great. We had one before that split at the seams and it wasn''t used very much before that happened. This one feels like it may be made out of a more heavy material. I'm hoping that this one last for a long time. I am so pleased that I once again can wash her hair with soap in water and just as a point of interest, when I was younger my mother used to use water with some apple cider vinegar in it to rinse the soap out of our hair and it also was a good conditioner and made our hair shine. I use one bottle of plain water and the other bottle (gal) is filled 3/4 full of water and a cup of vinegar and all the soap comes out and her hair is nice and shines and is easy to keep brushed. Thanks for making things better for my friend.

Utopia
Nothing feels as good as getting your hair washed, especially if you are in the hospital. This was great. It is reall a two person job, one to kind of hold and stabilize the “pool”, lifting the persons head to allow the water to drain down the tube into a wastebasket. What a heavenly feeling for the patient. We used a water pitcher with warm water to rinse. This is invaluable. Very happy and satisfied. I would suggest putting one of those waterproof chucks under the patient head and shoulders just in case.

Great product. Just as advertised.
Very effective. These last about a year or two when left inflated. I use it about once a week. Drainage tube is plenty long enough and the price is very reasonable reasonable. Wonderful option ous a person is bed-bound.

A GOOD PRODUCT!!
We bought this item to replace a similar, but circular, shampoo basin that we wore out after years of use. The rectangular shape of this basin works much better for us than the circular design did. [In the intervening years, the market has focused on a deeper basin that, in theory, is better. However, we had purchased one and when we tried to use it, my wife became very claustrophobic.] This basin works better than any other we've tried, but in our experience, it takes two people to make it work: one person to do the shampooing; and the other to work continuously with the basin itself, keeping the waste water going toward the drain, and keeping the collapsible drain open so that it will function.
