Best Time Saver Ever!
I liked the quality of the pan! I read reviews that said it was heavy when full to be able to check water level in bottom pan and juice in middle. I didn't find that it was heavy to lift to peek. If one is short I can see where that might be a problem. We kept the drain hose side to the side of the pan as we would drain juice out into a big cooking pan before taking the steamed grapes out. Today I used it for grapes. I love I only had to wash, not stem. I LOVE the clear juice using this, which meant no straining!! If I get enough raspberries, I will do them with the juice steamer. Hubby was reading the booklet and goes "Wow, there's so many things you can use this for." Anyway my only question is why did I not know about this product sooner? 26 quarts of juice to drink and enough juice held back to make jelly! UPDATE: I made my grape jelly today and realized there is some sediment that came through. Our plan for next year is to strain the juice as it comes out of the steamer pot into our larger pot. In my 12 cups of juice I had set aside to make jelly, there was only about 3 tablespoons of sediment. So yes, strain as you drain the juice or later before you can it.

Works pretty good. I'll keep using it.
I used this product for canning grape juice. Instructions came with the item and include a few recipes which was helpful. You MUST make sure it does not run out of water so monitor for each batch as it did not use water at a consistent rate each time. The harder the boil, the faster the water will run out. Pros: Very easy to set up and to clean. Love the glass lid to see how fruit in top basket is coming along. Works quite well and I was able to can juice in about an hour per batch versus the fruit press method. I used the grape juice recipe in the booklet. It tastes quite good. Very easy to make this way! Cons: Loses steam out sides so water level must be carefully monitored for each batch. Instructions indicate that juice will be a clear liquid but it was more of a cloudy liquid. This does not affect the end product and it doesn't bother me but just be aware of that. Juice pan is not big enough. It does not hold 4 quarts of juice and when it gets full is spills into lower pan that holds the boiling water. I would have gotten a model with a larger juice pan if I had realized this. You can empty out the juice when it gets full with the hose but since the whole thing has to boil for a least an hour, emptying the juice pan may not be an option. I adjusted the amount of fruit I put in the upper basket to make sure I had less than 4 quarts of liquid. Trial and error. Had small amounts of leakage between the water pan and the juice pan near the hose. I didn't happen every time so it may be how the juice pan was set into the water pan. Not sure. Other: I needed 3 hands when dispensing juice into hot jars. Even though I put the hot jar in a saucepan with a handle, it was helpful to hold it with 2 hands and have someone else work the hose/clam. It's a little tricky. Next time I will set the jar on a bar stool at the right height for the stove so I can work the hose with two hands and work independently.

A "Solid" Choice
Overall a nice product. Although I really wanted the Tim Allen "More Power" version so that I could cook down a half ton of fruit in under a minute, this is a nice size for my normal kitchen stove. It will produce the right amount of juice to do one typical batch of jelly for me. The bottom is very solid to ensure the heat is well distributed as described. I would say that the sides though are a bit thinner then I expected. That said, they are plenty thick and would likely be much heavier if they were as thick I as I expected. The glass top is as big a win as I hoped. I can easily see how the fruit is doing without losing the heat by opening it. Someone commented that theirs was "pitted" after the first use. Mine did just fine, but did have mineral deposits because of my hard water after just one use. That said I poured some vinegar in, wiped it around, let it sit and then wiped it again and it was just like new. Pay attention to the picture, if you leave the hose hang, it will leak. It's hard to see but there's a way to hook the spout into one of the handles so that it does not drip. I hooked mine into the juice collector handle. I did a batch of apples. It took about 1.5 hours and came out very nice. I'm looking forward to hitting the local farm market and buying a bushel of seconds of just about any fruit and seeing what I can do with it. The local brewing/wine shop doesn't recommend steaming because it will caramelize the sugars and maybe produce "off flavors" compared to crushing the fruit. I intend to do significant amounts to testing to come to my own conclusion. ;-) I recommend the product and expect it will last years.

Great juicer
Not sure why ppl can’t get liquid out of the hose…works like a siphon; needs a bit of suction and then it flows freely. There is a bit at the end that needs to be poured out but not sure how that can be avoided. Excellent way to juice fruit.
