EASY TO CLEAN - GREAT QUALITY JUICE - EASY LEARNING CURVE - AMAZING TASTY ENERGY INDUCING JUICE- 10 YR WARRANTY
THE NUMBER ONE THING YOU WANNA KNOW - BELIEVE ME - IS HOW EASY THIS MACHINE IS TO CLEAN. We bought ours from the amazon seller something Haas who is selling it somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 dollars less than all the other amazon sellers out there. It came in perfect condition on time and right out of the box ( after washing it ) I made some awesome juice. My wife and I have health issues - we believe stem from a genetic mutation called MTHFR and being in a toxic enviornment. In an effort to aid in our over all health efforts we decided to juice. Years ago I spent 700 dollars on a vita mix and I honestly wish I would have bought this instead. It comes with a mincing attachment - which is truly awesome - and can be used to make your own nut butters, deserts and baby food. Baby food! Yeah - so you can rest assured your baby is getting the very best quality nutrition and a great head start with raw, organic and nutritious foods with all the enzymes intact. My wife has had some post pregnancy depression - and fatigue - and within two days it was drastically reduced. I suffer from depression and fatigue - withing moments of drinking some juice I felt so much better. One thing many people don't know is that cooked food is seen as an invader by the immune system. It actually has to go and check out what's going on each time you eat cooked food. The body does not inately recognize cooked food as nourishment. So the more raw food you can ingest the better off and healthier you will be. I love me some grilled and grass fed organic meats - especially lamb - and I eat fairly healthy but eat cooked food about twice a day. Juicing is a very easy way to get more raw nutrients and enzymes ( of which most people are deeply in need of - helps the pancreas ) and it's also very tasty. I can't say much about the juicer but we watched many videos on youtube and did an exhaustive study of many many juicers including the Norwalk - Champion and a few others. One stainless steel model I may have bought was way out of our current price range. For ease of use - and having a reputation for being able to basically juice anything well - we chose the slowstar. I have to say it's great at the harder stuff - but not so great with softer fruits and leafy green veggies. There is a learning curve as with any appliance - and learning when and what to alternate helps get more out of those things that are more difficult to get all the juice from. Another aspect is the warranty - which is really coprehensive - my understanding is that the only parts not covered are those like the filter which will need to be switched out do to wear and tear. This is the equivelant of the tires on your care not being covered in a warranty. I have juiced apples, carrots, oranges, kiwi, bananna, cabbage, celery, bok choy, pear, tangerines, lettuce... ginger and turmeric root. I was impressed with the quality of the juice, the ease of use, and especially ease of clean up. I made three juices my first day. I could not get enough! I was so excited and felt so great I didn't wanna stop. A lot of my friends discouraged me with advice about the cost of organic produce. You do not want to juice conventional produce - ok - for one very good reason. Who wants concentrated pesticides in their juice? Not me. So organic produce is expensive. That's true but if you're smart you can find good deals at places like Costco. We literally bought at least half of our organic produce from Costco - including carrots, apples, and pears. We shopped around and found oranges for a dollar a lb and bought ten lbs. So it can be done. Listen - the RDA for most nutrients is laughably low. 60 mg of vitamin c? Smoking one cigerette will use 50mg! Not that I would but - vitamin c is crucial for great skin, immune health, detoxification, Krebs cycle - so over all energy. We need much more than a mere 60 mg per day. That is ridiculous. Supplements are expensive - often have fillers - ect. Who doesn't like fresh, unpasturized all natural food? When it tastes good - as freshly juiced orange, carrot and apple juice does - it's truly addictive in a good way. Beta Carotene - which is turned into vitamin A. You need that for good healthy lungs - immune health - and unlike synthetic vitamin A - you can't over dose on natural Beta Carotene. In todays nutrient deficient society juicing just makes good sense. It's tasty - it's healthy - great for the whole family - anti disease, and anti-cancer - anti-inflamatory if you focus on more green veggies and less sweet fruits. My family loves the Slowstar because it's easy to use, it's easy to clean, has a great warranty - I mean it takes me longer to cut up the produce than it does to juice or clean. You can spray out most of the pulp and it comes with an awesome cleaning brush with a sort of fish hook on one end and a hard bristly side on the other. Awesome. The main parts that take some effort are the screens and the receptical - and that's maybe five minutes for both. Not a big deal. If you have health issues - or wish to lose weight - or suffer from colds - have circulation issues - if you just want healthier skin - or just to know you're getting the best juice you can afford - I would recomend this juicer. It's easy to clean - the learning curve isn't bad - and the quality of the juice is enough motivation to keep me going back for seconds and sometimes thirds. If there was one thing I really don't like about this product it's the prevelance of plastic throughout the machine. It claims to be virtually BPA free - but most plastics that claim that have been found to be high in estrogenic BPS - which is actually worse for you than BPA... SMH. SO ... unless you can afford the NorWalk or that 1300 dollar stainless steel juicer - I would say this is probably the best all around juicer out there. You won't find a used one for sale anywhere - I mean I tried. So it's five am - and I'm signing off - feel free to hit me up with questions - I'd be happy to answer them. I don't work for anyone and have not been paid to write this review. I love health - and am a health enthusiast. I am 38 and often I'm asked if I am ten to twenty years younger. I believe a lot of the ailments of age are from not investing in health when younger. You don't not put money in a bank and then retire and expect to be financially sound. The same priciple works in the body - you get out what you put in. If you're not happy with your life - I suggest you make a change. Juicing is a good start. Sure it's a few hundred bucks - but that's not bad when you think of how much doctor visits cost. I believe in the future we will make food be our medicine and nutrition will be a much higher priority for the majority of people.

Overall a great juicer and a HUGE step up from Jack LaLanne. Very happy!
Overall, I’m very pleased with this juicer. I have an old Jack LaLanne juicer and was ready to try a masticating juicer but wasn’t entirely ready to go to a horizontal masticating juicer for two reasons - the size of my storage space primarily and not wanting to push produce in hard. For comparison, the Jack juices fast and has a large shoot so little prep is required, however the juice yield for greens is small, pulp is wet, and high RPM/heat/oxidation supposedly reduces nutrients. I made two juices before writing this - carrot, apple, lemon and apple, fennel, spinach, cucumber, lemon. Pros: - Easy enough to put together. I did watch a video as one part can be a little confusing but as soon as you understand it really is easy. - Handled all the produce great, even the carrots and fennel. I didn’t cut the carrots at all and the auger takes little “bites” as it pulls them down. No pushing! Fennel stalks are like celery on steroids and it took them great too. - Almost no pushing! It sucked things right in except a few apple slices that were so light they sat on top and the auger just bounced them around a little. As soon as I added something on top they went down. Less pushing than Jack! I think twice I used the plunger making the green juice. - Pulp is DRY. Very dry. Way better than Jack! - Juice yield on the spinach was impressive. Because the bowl is clear you can see how much you get from each item which is cool. Fun! I never juiced spinach with Jack because it was a waste of produce you got so little. - Most of the cleanup is easy (see cons). - Drip cover is AMAZING! What a great invention. No more swapping cups under the spout to catch drips, tipping the machine to get them all out, etc. Little thing but I love it! Less mess. - Despite shoot being smaller than Jack, it didn’t require too much more prep. Instead of quartering apples I cut in 8ths. I was afraid I’d hate this part of a masticating juicer but it’s fine. Glad I didn’t spring for the wide mouth Kuving! Not an issue like I thought it would be. - Came with a nice (though small) strainer. Pulp amount is fine. I strained the carrot juice because the pulp is a little firmer but not the green juice. Just preference. - Takes about as much space as a blender. Perfect! Lots of parts to store away though. Can’t wait to try the mincer on some frozen bananas! Cons: - Cleaning the screen takes about 5 minutes. All other parts rinse easily but the screen is slow to clean. Not hard to clean... just slow. This was the same with Jack but worse because the screen in Jack was so much larger. I imagine all juicer screens have this issue. - The bristles on the cleaning brush it comes with are too soft to be effective. So what... I used my regular kitchen brush fine. - The plastic pitchers seem nice but they are terrible for pouring juice. The spout isn’t pointed enough and juice spills everywhere. (I saw this in a YouTube video as well so it wasn’t just me.) Not a big deal though - you can use anything to catch the juice. I’ll use my large glass Pyrex measuring cup. Bummer that they can’t include something decent though. Neutral/Comments: - The auger takes a good tug to come out and it gets pulp up underneath it. This didn’t seem to affect anything so maybe not really an issue but I’m not sure if this is user error or normal. UPDATE: I was pulling the auger out alone instead of the whole casing with the auger in it. It is easier On the fingers doing the whole casing HOWEVER, it still takes a really good tug. - When done there’s still some pulp in the pulp shoot you have to poke out. A perfect curved tool is provided and it’s easy but if you lose the tool that might be awkward. I thought water pressure would be enough to dislodge it but because the pulp is so dry it really sticks in there. Not a big deal, just interesting. I think it’s just a result of the design? Takes about 30 seconds or less extra when cleaning. Overall I love this compared to my Jack! I will be selling him today. :) I would be interested to test this against the Omega upright masticating juicer out of curiosity but I would definitely buy the Slowstar again! Looking forward to renewing my juicing habit! UPDATE: I put frozen bananas into the mincer attachment and made “ice cream”... HEAVEN. So good! My kids thought it was regular banana ice cream. Can’t wait to try some other fruits. Also, there’s quite a bit of foam on the top of the juice. I thought masticating was supposed to reduce that, but no. Still happy with it and would be 5 stars if the auger were easier to remove.

Very good product in general, great juice quality and easy to use
The media could not be loaded. The Juicer is excellent, I’ve used a shine juicer in the past also made by Tribest. So I appreciate . One thing surprised me the color of the juicing bowl is stained by carrot not sure why as I didn’t have that experience with my shine Juicer. If there is anything that can be done kindly advise

Best All Around Cold Press Juicer, Period!!!
Excellent juicer. All the reviews & You tube video's praising this juicer were spot on. Quality construction, powerful & super quiet motor. Best all around cold extracting juicer around. It has a very small footprint & makes exceptional juice (fairly dry pulp too, which is the sign of a quality juicer). Cleanup is very easy, with only a few parts to disassemble & wash. Wash everything quickly after finishing your pressing & cleanup is a snap. Highly recommended..

Exceeds expectations but…
The media could not be loaded. Once assembled this slow juicer performed very well. The extra attachment for making sorbets and ice cream from frozen fruits is a nice bonus. This is your mid-range performance with mid-range price point to match. What was disappointing however was that it arrived damaged. The on/off button protection cover had rip in it. I’d imagine this protective cover is important since you’ll be having wet sticky hands turning on and off the unit. It was not as easy to clean as I had hoped but I expected it to be a lot more involved compared to a regular high speed juicer. Disappointing that none of the parts were dishwasher safe. Overall I would recommend this if you didn’t mind none of the items being dishwasher safe and the potential for it to arrive damage. I may consider requesting an exchange on the unit through Amazon.

It is best if you cut product up a little and it ...
I am thrilled with my new juicer. It is best if you cut product up a little and it just feeds itself. I like to drink a green juice with very little fruit, maybe lemons and apples added to a large batch. I do this as a supplement to eating as many vegetables as I have always done. Another great source of fruit is the rind of the pineapple. It is a great source of Bromelain as it is found in the rind of a fresh pineapple. Also this way you don’t have so much waste when peeling the pineapple. I also use the core, just cut it into about 1 inch junks.

So loving it!
I've now used this juicer several times with all my favorite recipes. It has worked so awesome for each one! Green juices (dont have to pre cut celery); apple carrot beat juices, and banana fruit ice cream with the mincer. Very impressive????
