Great high quality juicer

We use it for daily celery juice. On weekends we do carrot orange ginger & turmeric. This juicer is quiet,solid, very well designed and a pleasure to use. We Feel the juicer is a great value for the price and it more than meets our expectations. It assembles, disassembles and cleans well due to good design. We are making juice for 2 people only.

Perfect for what I'm doing

I had a hard time deciding between this compact model and the full size NC800. I have a very small kitchen space, so I decided on the compact model. I'm very pleased with it. I've owned many juicers over the years and I'll say that this is, hands down, the best model I've every owned. It's quiet, powerful and doesn't make a huge mess like centrifuge juicers. It's important to understand what this unit is best for and when it might not be the best choice. I juice mostly harder vegetables and fruits like celery, carrots, apples, cucumbers etc. It's perfect for these! It really does a solid job of chomping through these and makes great tasting juice. My older high speed centrifuge juicer not only made a mess inside all the parts, but it seemed to kind of "whip" the juice because of all of the oxygen introduced in the spinning blades. This slow moving juicer doesn't do that at all. It's also exceptional at leafy greens like spinach and kale. It's just important to know how best to add your fruits and vegetables in. For example, I always end on a hard vegetable like carrot or celery sticks to help move the "squishier" fruits and greens through the machine. If you are juicing a lot of really soft fruits or berries, this might not be the best option. Perhaps a vertical masticating juicer might be better. But honestly, a lot of juicers struggle with really soft fruits anyway. It just hasn't been a problem for me. I've found the cleaning process to be really easy and quick too. I simply rinse most parts with a drop of dish soap and scrub the screen with the provided brush. It takes less than 2 minutes and is so much easier and faster than my last juicer. Overall, this juicer was definitely the best choice for me personally.

To expensive!

I was fooled. My processor, blender, smoothie appliances do the same thing. The only thing different is the roughage that you’re supposed throw away, I use for composting.

Juicing Celery is great

I recently purchased this juicer and I really like it. Its quiet and juices celery like a champ. However, when I juice lemon it does not juice easily and a lot is wasted. I cut the lemon up small (after reading reviews). I am wondering what I can do to make the most of my juicing experience. Thanks!

Loads of nutrients - but narrow mouth

I was using a friend's Breville juicer and wanted to get my own - I saw the reviews for this and liked the price - I am a green juice person and was delighted at the use of so much of the ingredients and less pulp - however the mouth is narrow which means a bit more shopping before juicing - HOWEVER I am now used to it and love it - it is compact and sits nicely on the counter and is REALLY easy to clean (I needed to read the instructions for the first 2 goes but after that is was great and it's a simple process, just different to the one I had been using ...

Powerful and convenient.

I had another juicer years ago that was a tremendous pain to clean and assemble and disassemble. I really wanted to make my own juice but it was such a hassle that I gave up and gave the juicer away. I found this juicer and it really looked good and compact. I watched several videos and read reviews before deciding on this model and I am extremely pleased so far. I juice everyday with a multitude of fruits and veggies. It is small and clogs a bit on really fibrous items like pineapple but nothing too serious. It is an excellent entry level juicer in my opinion. The price is attractive as well. It is so easy to assemble, disassemble, and clean. Its compact size is a bonus for storage and setting up to use (we have limited counter space). I am really happy with this purchase.

Compared to an Omega VRT350 Vertical Low Speed Juicer...

I bought this to replace my old Omega VRT350 Vertical Low Speed Juicer, which died after 5 years of hard use. The end product with this one is better (no separation in the juice), and it's somewhat easier to clean. The main difference is in the feed tube. This one has a round tube 1-1/2" in diameter; the VRT350 has a 2-1/2" x 1-1/2" opening. Although you have to cut up your produce to use either model, this one requires significantly smaller pieces for the auger to accept pieces properly. Followup.... I found that cutting up the pieces into even smaller pieces completely eliminated any clogging or backup in the feed tube. Feeding the chute will still be slower, but be patient. You'll have more prep time, but that is made up for by less cleanup time. I can juice a gallon or more without having to stop and clean out the feed tube and auger 3 or 4 times like i had to do with my vertical model.

The little juicer that could

I own an Omega 8000 series juicer that is a helluva workhorse. It has been my long time companion and has been used for everything from juices to nut milks to nice cream. I love it! But I am away from home and cannot get to my juicer! I ordered this smaller unit to get me through until I can get my workhorse. I wasn't sure it would be able to handle the juicing I usually do with my bigger Omega, but I thought it was worth a try. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!! The reverse feature is useful if you get something stuck in the auger. The chute is smaller but honestly, the prep time is not that big of a deal. I prep and bag what I need so I can make juices quickly and easily. Like its bigger brother, it's easy to clean. The pulp is dry so the juice yield is higher. And the juices taste better than any centrifugal juicer can ever make. This juicer handles greens well (even wheatgrass). If you're juicing softer fruits, you will want to alternate something harder or it will back up a bit. Long story shorter -- buy this. Seriously. You will not be disappointed. It travels well, and it just does the job.

This is a little kitchen marvel

So what is the best juicer you can buy? It’s the one sat on my kitchen worktop, obviously that is totally selective but this really is an amazing little machine. I have a really small kitchen and for that reason this was the best option that offers the Omega build quality, a 15 yr warranty and the versatility that earns it the right to be called a nutrition centre. I just love using this thing I also have the Philips standard high speed juicer the Jason Vale version which I will now give to my daughter. This machine wipes the floor with that. It handles everything well, it’s quite, small and very powerful. You do need to exercise a little more patience if you are used to a high speed juicer but the pros far outweigh the cons. Pros This juicer uses a slow speed, powerful motor resulting in tastier nutrient rich juices that stay fresh for days not minutes. It is more versatile and can handle all sorts from juices, to nut butters to almond milks, to Sorbets. It’s quite... If feel like a juice at bedtime no problem! You won’t wake the household. Easy to clean there a very few parts, it is simply to assemble, dismantle and clean A pleasure to use - It feels so good flushing your body with amazing life giving nutrients, “health is wealth” enjoy your juice journey. Larger yield... due to the unobtrusive way this works it is simply more efficient, no smashing the life out of your produce with a high speed motor. This juicer slow and very generous ???? The build finish and quality are second to none although plastic the silver finish coupled with the weight screams quality Buy with confidence - Why would Omega offer a 15yr warranty? Because they have built the machine to last. It does everything well but pro tip mix softer fruit/veg with harder options like beets, carrots and apples ???? Can run for 30 minutes straight that plenty of time if you batch juice BPA Free Cons Food takes longer to prep due to the narrow feeding chute. Can seem pricey when compared to cheap alternatives however they do not have the build, warranty or versatility. Due to the small size the juice bowl only holds 700ml Some of the really soft produce like pineapples and strawberries can back up a little simply mix with harder produce. I really love this machine and honestly find it hard to identify anything I don’t like because everything about the design is why I bought it. If you like me need a compact slow juicer that is powerful, efficient reasonably priced when compared to other high end leading brands that offers a long warranty. Then grab one and invest in your health, start to live that juice lifestyle, it is so easy to get the nutrients your body needs with this baby. It really is one the most important investments I have made in my health and I am so glad I bought it to replace my old Philips juice, thank you Mr and Mrs Omega for a fantastic machine ????
