Satisfied
I like it, a little bigger than the one I had previously. I was concerned it wouldn’t fit in my cupboard in the same spot as my old one when I received it due to its larger size but it fit. The only thing I don’t like (same with my old one) is when it steams up the moisture comes out and just drips down the side. I found I would have to fold a kitchen towel under old one for the dripping. This one I cut back a little more on the water but don’t want super dry rice.

8 years and still going strong!
I bought this rice cooker in January of 2015. It is still making perfect rice all the time. I've cooked white rice, brown rice, wild rice, and also used it as a rice-dish slow cooker situation. Always great results. Just recently, within the last couple of months, I have noticed a few very minor nicks in the non-stick coating. I've always been careful not to put it in the dishwasher. Personally, I'm careful about the utensils I use with it and the materials I wash it with, but there are occasionally other people in my household who use or wash it and I don't know how they might treat it. Regardless, I think that the coating has held up well. Back when I bought this rice cooker, I paid $70 for it. I think that was a terrific deal. $92 seems steep for the limited functionality. However, considering how reliable it has been and the number of uses I've gotten out of it, even $92 would be a reasonable investment. These days, you can get multi-cookers for around the same price. Depending on what you want to do, that might be a better buy. But I'm of the opinion that more options also means more ways to fail. To that end, I would buy this machine again.

Good to have a quality rice cooker
Perfect rice with simple buttons. Perfect for a small family. I used to have Toshiba and a zorijoshi. But turns out tiger is just as good but cheaper.

My first rice cooker
I have nothing to compare it to, but it works great for my rice loving family. Easy, no hassle sticky rice. Just be careful about leaving it on the “keep warm” setting, as it dries out and burns.

Use this to save money on your Gas Bills.
When the gas prices went up I had to look for alternative ways to cook. Not only do I cook my rice but I can steam eggs on top instead of boiling them on the stove like I usually do. Instead of cooking rice I can cook the smaller Russet potatoes and steam the eggs to make potato salad. I haven't tried making pasta with it yet but that's another idea. Cook the pasta on the bottom and steam some zucchini on the tops. Great product to help you save money from the Gas Company.

Tiger Rice Cooker.
I just started to use it because we just moved in to our house and it cooks and stays warm until next day. I've really like the product.

Good value for money
Looked long and hard for a well priced rice cooker. This is a good brand that works well.

Easy to use even for a beginner like me
I burnt my last rice cooker. Yes that's right I burnt it and it stopped working. I put too much water and the rice was soggy and so, I kept on pressing the cook until it ultimately burnt the fuse. Decided to buy this well known brand - Tiger. It's easy to use. There's measuring levels so the rice is perfect each and every time. 3 cups rice, fill water to 3. This is how easy it was for me. I wish that the cord has an auto retractor like my old rice cooker. It doesn't have a slot where all the access water goes so I wonder where it actually goes. Nevertheless, this rice cooker is perfect for people like me.

Cooks rice wonderfully
Super happy with this rice cooker, first time use was a perfect success. Was debating on getting the JBV-S, but decided on this one since the JBV-S would one day need a battery replacement once the lithium battery dies... or so I read in the manuel on the TIGER website online. Overall, this rice cooker (JBV-A10U 5.5 cup) is awesome for the price and very simple to use; measured 2 cups with the provided measuring cup, rinsed the short-grain rice till the water was clear, filled the pot with water to exactly the "2" mark for [Plain] rice, dry off any water on the outside of the pot, insert pot in rice cooker, and press the [Plain] rice button. It took about 25 mins to cook and then it switched to keep warm. The rice tasted so great! Some tips I found online to keep the inner pot intact over many years and from peeling is to wash the rice in a separate bowl and then transfer it into the rice cooker pot... not sure if this is necessary but perhaps it will help. Note, the only thing that is strange is that the inside of the lid had a small 2.5cm scratch, but it did not affect the rice cookers performance. Delivery: it was estimated to take five - six days for delivery and I was so excited that it arrived early; it only took two days! If you are wondering, because I once did, I was worried that the steamer would spew out water from the pressure control cap since there were images of this happening in some of the reviews, well it didn't, and I will add it to the review if it ever does it in the future. It's so simple to use, rice tastes wonderful. Great quality rice cooker.

Best rice cooker I've ever owned, very high quality
As a Vancouver man, rice and asian cuisine is just a part of my life. I cook a lot of rice, and until splurging on this Tiger rice cooker, I was using a pretty cheap brand. The Tiger is just so much better in every way, and is very worth the money for anyone that cooks a lot of rice, and is tired of cheaper rice cookers drying out the rice on the bottom and borderline burning it. The only issue I've had with the Tiger rice cooker is the steamer. It almost works too fast, at least if you like your veggies to still have some firmness to them. If I select the synchro-cooking option and do like rice with steamed broccoli, I find that I need to take the broccoli out early, or risk oversteaming it and losing all the crunch and snap of veggies. The benefit of this though is that I'm able to steam multiple batches of broccoli within the same time window for cooking the rice. I do however wish that the veggie holder for steaming was a bit deeper so that I could steam more veggies at the same time. But it's not really a big deal when you're just cooking for a couple people. If you want a high quality rice cooker, the Tiger is the way to go. They are not cheap, but the quality of rice produced is just so much better than what you get from a cheap rice cooker. Believe me, Tiger is worth the investment.

Great for making rice and entree at the same time
