Worth it if you cook rice every other day
I mostly bought this thing out of curiosity after a relative said he's had a similar/older model for over a decade. I can say that it's worth it if you cook rice on an almost daily basis. Otherwise? I'd suggest something cheaper unless you have the money to spend. I've found that the cooker itself doesn't necessarily make rice taste any better, it does however make it so that the rice is cooked far more consistently through an entire batch when compared to the generic $30 rice cooker I've been using for the past 15 years. The options etc. are geared more towards short grain rice, but I haven't had any issues cooking long grain varieties by adjusting the amount of water in the pot before cooking.

Overall pretty good so far after figuring out initial problem
The problem I had initially was that the rice was coming out hard and "boro boro" (which was the way my mom would describe rice that would not stick to each other; for example - Carolina rice or other longer grain rice Americans typically eat). However this rice cooker was taking Japanese short grain rice and turning it 'boro-boro'. The consistency was very firm and fluffy. This was not the way I wanted my Japanese rice. This occurred mostly on the delicious setting, even if I set it to 'soft'. So later what I tried is setting it to the 'sushi/curry' rice setting, and added significantly more water. This seemed to do the trick. However even after that, the rice still has a texture which I describe as - firm, and not as sticky as a typical Japanese rice cooker. My theory is that the makers of this rice cooker designed it to be more appealing to Western tastes. They also emphasized making rice where the kernels are unbroken, which this rice cooker is good at. Other comments are that I expected the bowl to be thicker, but then again maybe it doesn't matter for an induction cooker. Other problems is that - when you release the lid from the button on the front, the lid pops open a little too forcefully so you have to hold the lid as you open it. And also the screen is very dim and difficult to read. That said, the rice overall tastes pretty good once you get used to the new texture.

Real made in Japan
So glad i found this rice cooker. Was really hard to find things that mot made in China. And finally found this. About the noise : not so disturbing noise like you have the lawn mower on in the kitchen ????... i mean the microwave makes louder noise than this. About 60 minutes of cooking rice : because the soaking time is included. With my other rice cooker, i had to soak it and sometimea forgot to turn it on at the exact time 30 minutes. So, this rice cooker is just PERFECT! ????

Why nobody talks about the huge noise this rice cooker makes while cooking?
It takes 56 minutes to cook a 2 cup rice. Well, I can tolerate that if the taste does get better. The result, however, shows that the rice tastes no better, even slightly worse, than my other $50 rice cooker. The key to better taste rice (growing up eating rice every day) lies more on the rice itself I think. The one thing I definitely cannot tolerate is the huge noise its fan makes while cooking rice. I cannot tolerate listening to that noise for 56 minutes while sitting at my kitchen dining table working from home. This is an absolute deal breaker. And YES, the noise is loud and disturbing.

美味しいく食べてます❗
It's cooked as I expected. Panasonic is easy to clean in many ways. I wish I had a slightly larger size.

Rice cooker
Better than the others out there but they don’t make Panasonic or zojurishis or any rice cookers like they use to. This only keeps rice fresh for about three hours but it tastes great and cooks it well other than that.

Delicious rice!!!
Delicious rice!!! This makes THE BEST RICE I HAVE EVER EATEN! Umami (the 5th category of taste) is real. Undoubtebly the best tasting, best textured rice ever. It literally makes my mouth water! I have never eaten such delicious rice before. I hope this cooker is durable as well - it certainly seems so but time will tell. Rice from my Zojirushi NS-ZCC10 is not even close to as tasty. There is a big difference. Wow.

Flimsy build
The front of the rice cooker rocks itself up the counter as the lid opens backwards. The build doesn't look sturdy and certainly does not feel "premium". I will be returning it.

Impresionante!
Cómo leí en todos lados, está arrocera es una super nave. He hecho arroz de Sushi, Arroz chino y avena, todo a la perfección y muy sencillo! No me arrepiento nada de mi inversión.
