Works great. Didn't know hedge trimming could be fun!

Got this to trim down some out-of-control bushes. Chose it due to the high reviews. Short version: it rocks! The long 22" length is great, giving good reach so you don't have to lean much to get down low or far in the back. It cuts great. Even 1/4" twigs cut easily. Some were asking & commenting about 1/2" and yet, it can do it with a couple chops, but I think 1/2" is asking a lot. But what kind of bush are you trimming with branches that thick? Last year, it took me an hour with a scissor manual hand trimmer. This year I was done in less than 10 minutes and ended up way less sore or sweaty. The weight is good, and the balance is fine. There is some modest assembly of the safety bar, but it only took a couple minutes. Highly recommend.

It's a beast

After using the hedge trimmer for a few weekends now, I can report it is a beast, and gets the job done, I would highly recommend this product. It's light weight, easy to use. I have been using it to clear out and prune up forsynthia bushes, and take down those nasty vines, Russian Olive and thorn bushes, it has not disappointed and I was able to clear a lot in a short time.

Great for the price

Works great and terrific for trimming boxwoods and small bushes. Didn't receive a safety guard with the product but contacted Black and Decker and they are sending one to me. Product was suppose to be new and looked like it was, but don't know why I didn't not receive all the parts.

trimmer does the job

my previous B&D trimmer gave out (after 29 years), this one feels lighter but does the same job.

Good product

Used on about 6 shrubs so far and I’m satisfied with how easy it is to use and it did a very good job. Hopefully it will last over a few years.

Práctico, funcional y útil

Es un equipo muy práctico, sin embargo, manejo del cable en ocasiones es un poco incómodo...sin embargo presta la función para la que fue diseñado y su potencia es perfecta.

Love this Workhorse!!

I just got this hedge trimmer and put it to a huge workout for a good couple hours nonstop, trimming the shrubs all over my yard including a small tree, thick hollies, and some hedges that are about 12 feet tall. I held this tough little workhorse up high over my head and could reach quite a way. I got the 22” version because I am a small grandma and I didn’t want it to be too heavy, but I also need help to lengthen my reach. I am happy with the 22” model. THEN, after I finished the whole lawn, I ventured out to the wooded area behind our yard and used this little workhorse as a brush mower! I bent down to whack off vines, small trees, poison ivy—-to cut back the overgrowth to keep it from creeping into the yard. This is sharp, easy to handle and control down low, up over my head, etc. Aside from it being sharp, lightweight, and easy to handle, my favorite part about this hedge trimmer is the cord-holder. On my old model, I am, constantly having to stop and plug it back in because the cord pulls out of the trimmer easily. Not so on this model with the cord-holder where you loop the cord around. For extra security, I first wrapped the cord through the handle a couple of times, and THEN looped it through the cord holder and it did not come out even once. This corded trimmer kept going at full power for far longer than a rechargeable battery version would have operated. I was glad to get all my spring trimming done in one afternoon. I did read some reviews complaining that you have to hold the safety button down the hole time—I did not find that to be difficult. I did get carried away once, and nicked the electrical cord a bit. I have to be careful in the future to keep the cord out of my way. Great little hedge trimmer! I am very happy with it. I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. I hope that my review helped you!

Terrific Lightweight Trimmer! Makes Sharp Cuts!

I was hesitant to get an electric trimmer because, I had one many years ago and it shredded everything instead of making clean cuts. That is not the case with this trimmer. As a lifetime “do everything manually” person, I am only sorry that I waited so many years to get another power trimmer. It really makes very short work of what used to take hours. The BLACK+DECKER Hedge Trimmer, 22-Inch (BEHT350FF) package arrived in 10 days and was well packed. Easy to put together. My long, power extension cord fits without problems. The electric cord retainer also works well. I’ve used this B & D trimmer now for a few days on various shrubs and ornamental grasses. It works great! The cuts are very clean and not raggedy. The instructions state that there is no need to oil or sharpen the blades, (unless these get damaged)—which is a real plus. If approached slowly, the trimmer can handle fairly large branches of more than a quarter inch in diameter. (The claim is that the trimmer will cut branches up to ¾ inch. I shall test that out on some large junipers shortly.) It is a bit noisy for me so I’ve been using earplugs until some noise reduction earmuffs arrive. The trimmer is light enough to allow use for long periods. The 22” blade is just the right length for me. As a female, of advanced age, I very much like the safety feature of having to engage both the lock switch and the power “trigger” switch at the same time. It is easy to do and not fatiguing for me. (It is possible that if one has serious arthritis or other issues in the hands, this feature could be a literal pain.) Use of the trimmer with one hand could be dangerous. Thus, the dual safety/power switch makes that awkward, but not impossible for someone with a strong arm. Overall, thus far, I am very satisfied with the B & D trimmer. I hope that the machine will last!

Excelente producto y relacion precio / calidad

Compre este corta arbustos ya que tengo algunos arboles en el jardín que requieren de mantenimiento constante, y la verdad me ha ayudado bastante esta herramienta ya que antes lo hacia a tijera y me tardaba el doble de tiempo que ahora, me gusto la potencia, aunque aveces es algo incomodo moverse con el cable sobre todo cuando son arboles mas o menos altos y tengo que usar la escalera en este caso recomendaría la version inalambrica (LHT2240CFF 40 V Max sin cable Hedge.), para los arboles bajos y arbustos es perfecta, sobre todo por el grosor de ramas que corta de 3/4"

Una relación precio-desempeño bastante equilibrada.

A pesar de ser un producto accesible en precio (creía que por lo mismo su funcionamiento sería limitado), funciona bastante bien; solamente he podido podar un árbol ficus bastante denso, 2 metros de alto, pero funciona bastante bien al menos para este tipo de árboles. Creo es una buena compra para el hogar. Quizás lo que se podría mejorar es la toma de corriente, está ligeramente desfasada para colocar una extensión, y esta tiene que ser con enchufe blindado (circular).

Excelente maquina corta setos, potente y liviana.

Todo excelente con esta maquina corta setos. Buena pitencia y muy liviana. Hay que usar equipoc de protección, guantes, cubrebocas, lentes. Suelta residios que produce cancer asi que abusados. Lo unico negativo es la conexión no trae cable y tendras que hacer una extensión especial para poder trabajsr agusto. Muy incomodo travajar con la conexión ya que sale e incluso llegue a cortarla con la misma navaja.

Uso fácil cómodo solo para el hogar

Aunque el cable limita la movilidad por momentos su peso bajo la hace fácil de usar fácil de maniobrar y cómoda al estar cortando se recomienda solo para uso en el hogar

No trae cable! No la puedo prender

No me gustó que no trae ni medio cable, osea aquí en México no tiene uno ese tipo de extensiones. Ni como probarla mañana iré a buscar algo a Home Depot y ya les cuento que tal sirve.
