Changed my view of Black and Decker

I have a construction background, and Black and Decker was always seen as a joke. Honestly this was the cheapest homeowner trimmer I could find but it impressed the heck outta me. Easily chewed through decently thick stuff and never bogged down. I even went thicker than the "max depth" and cut stuff up to an inch with a little swivel action. Easily a $200 trim if I paid someone, and I suspect it'll last at least a few more years.

Works well

This trimmer works well and cuts the hedges perfectly but it tends to be a little on the uneven weight distribution. The handle side is considerably heavier so it throws of the balance and can be a little awkward to use if not careful.

So easy.

After reading reviews that sounded like people were getting returns I just bought a used/like new one. The box was in bad shape but the trimmer inside was fine. This has no cord at all so you need an extension cord to use it. I honestly just never imagined trimming a bush into a respectable shape (haha) would be so easy. It was lightweight, easy to maneuver and faster than I could have imagined, I, a person with no experience using a tool anything like this, trimmed my unruly bush and am no longer the shame of the neighborhood.

Very Lightweight

As an older garden, I can really appreciate how light this trimmer is. Super easy to use one handed when needed. Well-made and easy to use. Don't know why I waited so many years to buy a powered trimmer!

Great tool.

Loved the sharpness of the blades and the light weight of the whole tool. Did the yard in a few minutes. Clean the hedger very quickly. Used the blower vacum and my day was done. Lower the amount of space in my yard waste. May actually began a compose bin. With those 2 tools in my disposal.

Light enought and Easy to use and maneuver for Women in general; I have a sore right arm and still managed to cut my hedges in a reasonable time without any issues - Everything went smooth and fast bc the BLADE IS REALLY SHARP, ITS LIGHT, ERGONOMIC DESIGNED AND SMALL/SHORT LENGTH BUT GOOD ENOUGH to efficently use and get the job done, exp. for Ladies! 2 Thumbs up! Light and easy to use!!

Really like it, easy to use due to the shorter blade. It does not come with a "chord". At first I panicked when I opened the box. But it comes with just the end of the chord (socket plug), as you see in my pics, which is actually pretty genius because if you cut the chord you only replace your extension chord and the machine still works. Sure it'd be nice if it came with an additional extension chord, but come on, look at the price, and you may need a super long one like me or a short one. It cuts very well too. I recommend it.

Cumple bien su función

Buen equipo, por menos de $700 vale la pena, cumple su función para lo que es: setos, de ramas no muy gruesas, a mi parecer vendría a sustituir las tijeras podadoras y aligerar ese trabajo que te dejaba los brazos molidos. La única observación es el enchufe que viene como empotrado pero con un adaptador de clavija se resuelve.

Simple, thoughtful design and just works

I had some basic trimming to do and this did the job very well. More than enough power for everything I needed to do and it made quick work of what I needed to trim. The design is very simple but also practical and I really appreciate that. Examples? 1) The handle to hold the front is simply molded plastic but fits perfectly in my hand 2) The guard to prevent debris coming back at me was nice 3) The cord protection was also well though-out. I had another trimmer many years ago and it is nice to see a lot of improvements in design compared to the older model.

Idéal pour tailler arbustes, graminés....

Je connais les tailles-haies de Black & Decker. Dans l'ensemble, ce sont des produits durables et pratiques. Celui-ci est plus léger et idéal pour faire toutes les tailles de printemps avec efficacité.... Un ménage moins laborieux.... Le bouton de sécurité, au-dessus, doit-être relâché aussitôt le moteur en marche. Si vous le maintenez toujours enfoncer, le moteur n'arrêtera pas lors du relâchement de la poignée de vitesse.... Le câble électrique de calibre 12, s'insère bien pour empêcher la déconnexion accidentelle. (Photo)
