Just what I needed for this painting
This black artist paper is nice. I was able to do this piece in about one hour since I didn't have to wash the background. Now I am looking for more things to paint on a dark background.

The best!
It was really tricky to find BLACK watercolor paper! Not only that, but this works fantastic for pencils, drawing inks, and acrylics! I look forward to trying this brand's other papers after this!

good product and it was sent within the time estimated, but...
Unfortunately, they sent me white instead of the ordered black paper. It's fine quality and I found someone to give it to so I won't need to send it back, but it was very disappointing. Hopefully just a random human error.

Wow, wow, wow!!! AMAZING with metallic watercolor paints!!!
I haven't painted anything yet and will add a photo to my review once I do. But as soon as this paper arrived the other day I did my color swatches for my Paul Rubens metallic paints. WOW they look incredible! When you first paint on the black they don't show up very much for some of the colours. But then a couple moments later once the paint dries WOW - gorgeous! My pictures show the palette of my Paul Rubens metallic paints on this paper and then comparing to regular white watercolor paper. Note that while this paper is a bit pricey you can cut these pages in half and end up with two 5x7's per page so 30 5x7's. That's what I will be doing because as a new to watercolors painter I much prefer working small.

Needed different paint
I don’t as miss lead on you tube that ordinary watercolor paint worked well with these. No no. They are much too transparent. But with the right medium… results are stunning

Glue holding pages together creates issues
I bought this black watercolor paper awhile ago, finally got ready to use a sheet today. I deducted one star as the glue holding the tablet together is too strongly attached to the paper so each sheet doesn’t separate cleanly from the tablet. It is quite painstaking to scratch the glue from that edge and leaves a rough edge. It meant cutting a strip off to get a clean edge for my project.

Great Paper
What great black paper to paint on. It is absorbent, thick and white watercolor pops on the page. I noticed that other colors need less water if you are looking for more vibrant colors. You could also use acrylics or gouache. I will definitely buy this again.

Excellent quality but expensive
The quality is great but I find it expensive, so I feel like I'm wasting the paper when I need to try different things out.

Really nice black cotton paper.
As in the photo that I've attached, you can see that this black cotton water colour paper performs nicely with metallic watercolour paint. I would buy this paper again. It's nice and thick and takes paint beautifully. I do recommend it.
