Worth the price.
Great shears for the price. Really like the oval handle and they cut very well.

Disappointed!
Very disappointed, used one time pruning an azalea, and now they won’t even cut a weed. I would not recommend these.

Geared shears, a boon to lady gardeners!
As I am older and experiencing some arthritis in my hands, so I am keen to try geared garden tools. For a relatively inexpensive price I purchased these shears to tackle rampant wisteria vines in my yard. Even with long handled loppers I have found wisteria to be very tough to cut. I am pleased to report that these shears cut right through with much less effort then usual. I am VERY pleased to have found this product!

Dissatisfied
Very disappointed.Description describes them as geared. This gave me and many other buyers the impression there was some form of ratchet system to make cutting easier. This is far from the truth. They appear no different in the cutting action to any cheaper pair from a bucket shop.I would be interested to hear from the seller explaining exactly what is meant by 'geared'!?!. Would not purchase m this product again.

Not impressed
I am sorry, I bought these as the "write up" seemed so positive and they looked right. BUT The mechanism clogs up and they end up not being able to cut, unless you clean out the groove and the internals with a fine metal pointed scraper, this really is quite irritating, in fact VERY irritating as it happens whilst you are trimming plants and, therefore, increases the time taken to prune. Sorry, but I have found that they are not that good and I am shelving them and going to buy a pair of more traditional secateurs. My apologies to all who have the Spear and Jackson 6758GS Razorsharp Geared Anvil Secateurs and are happy with them.

1 blade/plastic - Quite possibly the worst secateurs you can purchase
*Update - razor sharp may work if BOTH parts are! No. I wish I can return and get a full refund, and possibly months of aggravation... my bf constantly complains about them to the point where he researched and found a new pair for me to buy. I ended up getting the same make S&J, but the Kew Garden ones with TWO BLADES! Instead of one part plastic. I kid you not, the heavens opened up and I could CUT like the garden demon that I am. Do yourself a favor, get the better ones. Your life will change. I’m learning what is an Anvil Secateurs the hard way. Bought this because of the raving and large amount of positive reviews, sorry to say, it’s not that great. Few months later I think I’ll just give up and buy another pair. Yes, that frustrating and useless, and too late to return. One side of the shear is plastic with a groove, instead of like most CUTTING shears, 2 parts metal shearing and creating a cut - to make matters worse, there’s a groove! Which everything gets stuck in. It may work for hard branches and only, but anything that’s softish or prone to be squashed is getting stuck in the groove and not cutting off. I wish I can still return them as I didn’t realize how much I spent on them. I bought them to trim flowers, so it’s not fit for purpose, as the stems just gets bent. A regular pair of kitchen shear is doing a better job than this. I regret it, probably one of my worse purchases after much research too. On the ergonomic front to judge alone. No. It’s not easy or comfortable neither. It’s given me pressure mark and leave me longing for silicone lined and finger grooves that are ACTUAL ergonomic elements. I’ve learned my lesson too in that, leaving this here and I hope this helps you!

Easy to use
I'm not a gardener and wasn't sure what type to get after breaking my old cheap pair till I viewed the video. It was delivered yesterday in a nice securely wrapped package and my first thoughts were this looks good, upon opening it I tried to cut the cardboard that it had been secured to and see how sharp it was and I must admit I was a little bit disappointed that it didn't cut it. I then went out and tried cutting a side branch on the tree I'm felling and blimey it cut through 1/2" branch like a hot knife through butter with hardly any effort on my hands which is good as I have arthritis. I tried up to 3/4" and it cuts it ok but as it's probably not made for that dia I didn't want to break it. This is a lovely tool and feels nice and secure in your hand I'm well impressed with the quality and how easy it is to cut branches top marks would recommend.

Absolutely Useless
I am sorry to post this review, I seldom post any reviews, however, this product is so bad I feel I need to. Product arrived , yesterday, prompt and efficient delivery, so this morning I went out happy to be pruning my roses, confident that with a brand like Spear and Jackson these secateurs would do the job perfectly, unfortunately this is not the case. The larger branches just got crushed the smaller one torn, I am so disappointed and really do not wish to post a review like this, however, I need to let others know so they do not make the same mistake as me.
