Not meant to deep clean, but does a decent job for in between...

Bought this to use in my Sunday School classroom for a quick pick up in between vacuums.(short pile carpet). Haven't tried it yet, but test drove it on my hardwood floors at home. Didn't look like it was doing much, but was shocked when I emptied the bins and saw how much was actually in there. (including some fine particles!) Cat fur had to be removed manually from the corner brushes, but that was to be expected, far as I"m concerned. I would like to thank whomever it was who recommended pre-lubricating the pole parts before assembling!! HUGE help, and I had it together in less than ten minutes. (I used a drop of liquid lock lubricant on each exterior and interior thread.) Above pics show my kitchen floor, before sweeping, (left), and on the right is what was in the sweeper from having run it on the area at left. (Penny was NOT picked up in sweeper.....shown for scale.)

It's smaller than I expected but it seems to pick up well

I like this for quick and quiet light floor cleaning. Just got it and so far, so good. Now something important to know. The push handle has four rods that screw together. Don't rush this! One of the rods is slightly different at one end, and THAT end is what screws into the sweeper. The other three rods seem to be identical in every way and I could not discern any assembly order for them. The screw together threading is very fine and you must line them up perfectly. It might be a good to put a little bit of light grease like Vaseline or even Crisco on the threads. Screw the four rods together, then the odd ending into the sweeper, Finally screw the plastic handle onto the other end. Done! Don't let all this scare you! I think it's a worthwhile product. Just take your time, be careful, and don't force the assembly. You really do need to line up the rods, maybe on a flat surface like a table. :-)

Works GR8!!!!????

It arrived today + it's beyond wonderful! My hubby works the "grave yard" shift, meaning he sleeps most of the day. Beyond not wanting to disturb him, our 100 lb dog's fearful of the vacuum's noise + this doesn't scare him at all. It picks up everything I've run across so far, including the fuzzies from Mello's toys. Fur + dust balls in the kitchen + br's floors. I absolutely luv this. I admit I'm not "Suzy Homemaker" + am 68 yrs old, plus detest vacuuming. This is the perfect answer for me! We had one of these many yrs ago + it didn't pick up much at all. This even takes care of moist spills + messes too. I haven't tried that feature out but believe it does. It's brush is made of rubber, not nylon, making it easy to care for. It has 4 little brush/combs on each corner, on the bottom, to get right up to the baseboards. It comes with no instructions though + I had some difficulty getting the segments twisted right, but did finally. I really recommend this little sw eeper. I spend a lot on Amazon but this is the best thing I've blown money on in a LONG time. I'm VERY pleased.

Great for a quick tidying. I use on my hardwood floors and a wool area rug. Very lightweight & easy to assemble.

A great tool for quick pick ups.

A great tool for quick pick ups. Our elderly mother with dementia struggles with the traditional vacuum cleaner, and is obsessive about clean floors. This is light weight, no cords to trip on, no buttons to press. She can just simply push it over the surface and get the job done anytime she desires. While this is not intended for deep cleaning, it does a great job between deep cleans.

Not what I expected.

Seeing that the words Bissell COMMERCIAL, was very disappointed. I purchased it for my store with lots of traffic. It cleans top, but not deep. I have to use a broom to finish the rugs. Also the handle come apart and have to tighten the handle all the time. I had to have a man tighten and it still comes apart. Very frustrating. Its not for commercial.

easy to assemble

I bought this product to clean up cat hair, litter and fern leaves. I am chasing the leaves and litter all over the floor.It picks up hair on the area rugs but again, chasing it on the bare floors. I have to think the plastic flanges are a poor substitute for bristles. When I attempt to sweep under the couch there is a scraping sound. I have to tighten the handle often. Better than nothing but a disappointment coming from Bissell.

Picks up crumbs, dirt and debris like dream!

Purchased this to use in a restaurant dining room on low pile carpet and tile flooring. It works great, like amazingly great, on all floors. It picks up dirt and debris, tracked in sidewalk salt, leaves, crumbs, straw wrappers, small pieces of paper, small pieces of food, crayons, the list goes on. The thing I like most is, unlike most manual sweepers, it has an all rubber roller instead of a bristle roller, so it's easy to clean hair lint and strings from the roller. The rubberized roller also helps keep it free moving and from getting bound up by hair and strings. It can also be fully sprayed out with soap and water to clean and sanitize. I've used a lot of versions of manual sweepers and this one, by far, is the best. I ordered more after receiving it and testing it out on trashed Friday night dinning room floors.
