Always great!

I already have one of these, and I wanted another for two separate projects with different needs. These come perfectly sharpened every time. I has a slip-on case to protect the edges which is nice too. I have reconditioned the edge on my other numerous times, and I can strongly recommend this brand. I also like the thickness of this scraper. I like that it stays straight when I want, but allows me to bend it at will too. If you don't know which one or brand to get, I recommend starting with this one.

Great card scraper

Before buying a card scraper make sure you are aware of how to sharpen one. They will make dust from factory but to get translucent shavings you will need to polish the edges and then burnish the edges. If you don't have a burnisher buy one with this scraper. If you don't want to buy one there are other items that can be used in place of an actual burnishing tool. I use a very old vintage rod style carbide knife sharpener that is very smooth. This is better than the kits you find on Amazon that will be of low quality steel.

Came sharpened all 4 sides, which was a total, but very nice surprise. Also, I love the holder that it comes in, protecting the edge. Very nice.

Good for tuning kanna

I’ve been using this to tune the bottom of my Japanese plane until I get my hands on a dainoshi kanna. It came with a suitable burr and I haven’t had to sharpen it yet.

awesome tool. this is my first scraper and i love it. youll need to learn to sharpen it if this is your first, but it came decently sharp and can remove some wood easily. love it

Makes it look like I know what I'm doing

I literally have no idea if I'm using this correctly or not, but I feel very professional when I do use it and my wife looked suitably impressed with my posturing so at the very least I looked like I knew what I was doing which is all that matters really.

What a discovery!

I'd never heard of such an item until I was advised to get one to begin refurbing my kitchen worktops. How can a small rectangle of metal be so effective?!
