Not as good as I thought it would be
Are use this product to clean my stainless steel grill cover. It looked worse when I was done. And then using a steel cleaner to get the residue off. Not sure it was worth using it all.

This Product really works!
I used this to restore my finish on a 20 year old jetsk it brought back the shine and removed all the oxidation and dull paint . I have used many other products and this one was the easiest to use by far! Finally my search is over this is my go to cleaner . I just bought the polish and look forward to using it. Buy it you will not t be disappointed.

Only laborious wet sanding provides a better finish
For cleaning up fiberglass and getting some of the gloss back before you end up polishing it off I have never found anything better--- with the exception of wet sanding the gel coat--- and even then, after going through various levels of abrasives, you still have to high speed polish to get a nice sheen. So if you don't want perfection.... this will do the job without spending all day long to do it. I have one criticism of the ten pound pail--- it is difficult to reseal. Be careful that you make sure it is resealed correctly. It may have just been my pail--- but the inner flap of the lid that brushed up against the inside of the pail got crimped outward and made it difficult to seal back up---- I used a screwdriver to do so. Also, I used a salad dressing bottle to suck up a boats worth of product to utilize while doing the job--- This would allow me to reseal it until I needed more. This criticism is probably only important to those who intend to do a long term storage of the product once opened. In all reality, the intention and design of the lid is one that shows consideration for a better than typical seal. You may wonder who many watercraft 10 pound pail will accomplish? I did 17 jet skis, and 6 boats ranging in size from 17 foot run about to a 23 foot cabin cruiser. Still have enough product for another boat, perhaps more.

Item was exactly as described.
I think item is slightly overpriced. The item worked well as a metal polish and a buffing compound.

Important, PLEASE READ!!
Absolutely amazing product, but you must follow directions for use. The compound is "Amateur Proof" but not "Idiot Proof". To explain what I mean, it is very hard to make rookie mistakes like burning through the finish or leaving swirl marks even using a standard rotory buffer. The compound "Breaks Down" while using it to a finer and finer polish. If you apply to much pressure on the buffer, or use to high of a speed, the compound breaks down to a very fine grit very quickly. On this same note, I see other comments that it doesn't work well on extremely oxidized finishes, or it's not intended for this purpose. That is simply not true, it works very well on even the most stubborn stains and/or oxidation. The key is how you use it. You must use a variable speed buffer, and turn the speed down all the way on your initial application. By using a low speed, the compound doesn't break down as quickly and this in turn allows the compound to remain at it's "Full Strength" for a longer period. Slow speed and no pressure on the buffer, just let the compound do the work. After you've gone over the surface on low speed, no pressure and moving slow, THEN put your buffer on high speed and polish it out. It may take a second or third application using the same proceedure, but only on extremely weathered finishes. I am very pleased with not only the results, but also not having to have several different compounds on hand to complete a job. This stuff is GREAT! Oh, use a strong soap like Dawn to hand wash your fleece buffer pad in warm water when you are done, and allow it to air dry.

The Art of being Buff
This is my third year restoring boats I purchase and I have used many other "combo" packages and nothing has achieved the expectations like this product. There is a secret to using this on fiberglass and a professional orbital ,(not random) polisher is the key element. Apply the Buff Magic with a small paint brush or similar type tool using small amounts as a little does go a long way. Use the orbital polisher on a clean dry surface set on the low setting working the Buff Magic into the surface and gradually increasing the speed of the buffer to high speed. Exercise caution if you are not familiar with a polisher they can be dangerous. Keep working your buffer in and around the areas of interest but do not hold in one place to long or you'll burn the fiberglass. You will see the shine. After doing aqbout four or five different areas it seems to get easier, I think it's because of the product on the applicator. I have used this on dark blue (25 footer), red (19 footer), and white (36 footer)boats, all over 20 years old and all three produced a brilliant shine after going about it as described above. Use wool application pads as the foam pads break down from the fine grit. Find a nice wax to use afterward as this is a polish and not a protectant and more importantly take your time, this is a great product but it will not be rushed. Truth be known nothing is easy about polishing oxidized fiberglass but this product produces. I am telling you, you will not be disappointed and the time you invest in it is well worth the results.

Fantastic Product!
I used this product to remove a heavy oxidation from a boat that has not been waxed in at least 3 years. I was skeptical that this product would work well enough to remove the heavy oxidation. I was expecting to have to wet sand the gel coat to remove the oxidation. To my surprise this product did an amazing job. I used this product with a DA sander with a medium cutting pad, I highly recommend you do the same if you are looking to remove oxidation from your boat. I recommend this product and will definitely buy again and use at the end of each boating season.

Great Product
Worth the money. This product took my faded blue-grey gelcoat on my 1994 Campion Explorer 185 boat to a respectable finish with the use of a power buffer. Very pleased!

One compound does it all.
Great compound. Brought back the shine to my gelcoat without the need to use progressively finer compounds.

This product will bring up even the most chalked up fiberglass gelcoat surface
Loving these Shurhold products. They aren't cheap but they do the job. Very impressed how the Buff Magic brought back a faded and oxidized dark blue gelcoat stripe on my boat's hull. Highly recommended.
