Great chalk pastels

Great chalk pastels These were great chalk pastels to use in a large group setting. Plenty variety of colors. Decent durability with the chalk sticks.

Not as pictured. Works well.

I use these for my kids art classes. They are not as pictured. They come in a large box with individual colors grouped together. The colors are not in separate trays which are ready to use. This is a misrepresentation by the seller. The bottom row always has broken pastels which have spilled out in every box I've received. The top rows of colors have always been in good shape. I've purchased a few of these boxes. The pastels are easy to use and great quality for beginners. They are not good enough for serious artists.

Packaging /Order Fulfillment Issues

Ordered expecting to receive 24 different colors based on the picture. Received 24 different sets of only 12 colors.

Great for classroom sets.

Great color range and came packaged nice and tight so they weren’t rattling around. I counted maybe 3 broken out of all 288. I’d say that’s pretty good. Each tray has a foam piece between it. Yes you have to sort them out, but that’s not a big deal! Definitely worth it. :)

Item pictured is not what I received.

Item pictured is not what I received. I got 24 individual packs of 12 colors. No pink, no violet. Cannot return as I need chalk for an art event for my students in just a few days.

Quality change and it sucks now

I have bought this chalk for years for chalk festivals with the schools where I am an art teacher. This year when it arrived I was seriously disappointed. They have changed the formula--- I don't know but it is NOT the same. The weight is significantly different from previous years- less pigment and more filler. The colors are not the same-Duller (duh less pigment). And the color selection is awful. There isn't even 1 red in a box of 24. There is no black- It's a dark grey (more filler and less pigment). The links look like they were spray painted to have color on the one side. These suck in comparison to the same product from previous years. I would rather have had them raise the price than cut the quality. I will not purchase again!

I purchased these in the hopes of having a set for each student I teach, but they did not come as pictured. Instead, all of the same colors were together.

Nice for a classroom set, but does not arrive as pictured

I bought this pastel set for my class of middle school students as there are enough pastels for each student to have a full set of colours. The colours I received are actually a nicer palette than shown in the listing photo. It included some colours not shown (such as pink, purple) in addition to a nice selection of the basic colours. I'm very happy with the colour selection and quality. In one tray (of 24) all the pastels arrived broken, but are still usable. I was hoping the pastels would arrive as depicted in the listing, but instead same colours were packed together, requiring all trays be re-sorted before student use.

Students loved them!

The colours are vibrant, easy to blend and stay that way, unlike regular chalk. The kids had a lot of fun with them.

Broken Pastels

I was so excited for these chalk pastels to arrive! When I carried them into my classroom, my students went nuts- they love new books and art supplies! Despite the fact that each layer is packed with a layer of cardboard and a thin layer of foam between it and the next one, there is no padding under the bottom layer- that's where every one of my broken pastels came from. The trays are packed inside a box, which was packed in another box, all inside an Amazon box... a lot of boxes, but still broken pastels. I would hope the manufacturer might consider adding a lay of foam under the bottom layer to help with those pieces getting broken.
