Perfect for my Chihuahua mix
This car booster seat is perfect for my Chihuahua mix (15 lbs). She fits comfortably and I know she's safe with all the fasteners. 10/10 would recommend.

Great deal for the price!
I think this was worth the money! I have been looking around for a good quality car seat for my dog because he will otherwise sit on an arm rest in the front of the car (which is quite a dangerous balancing act for him). He is 10 pounds and fits comfortably in it. He frightens easily but he didn't seem to mind the seat much after a few minutes. One feature I truly appreciate is that it has buckles for two of the three straps that connect to the seat. This makes things easier because you do not have to re-size the straps each time and it also is VERY quick to throw into the trunk when needed, while also quick to put back on the seat while you need to go out with your pup. The only strap that doesn't have a buckle doesn't even need one because it lifts easily from the seat. It is also quite compact when you do not want to use it, it just folds up nicely and is easy to store, which cannot be said for many types of dog seats. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because the strap that connects to the dog has a seemingly cheap plastic attachment where you attach to your dog's harness. It just seems cheap and easy to break off, which means that it is possible it will eventually break over time. Since I bought this for his safety, I was saddened that the most important piece was also the seemingly poorest quality. But, I may be overreacting and it will probably be fine in the end. I am going to post a couple photos to show how it looks with a 10 pound dog in it!

My dog loves it.
I Like it. Bought the medium for my 11 lb Chihuahua mix & it's big enough for him to lay down in it. I had to put a cardboard box underneath it because it's a rectangle & if he sits on 1 side it tilts, but that was easy to do & he loves it. He can see out the window when he wants & lay down when he wants. Has a strap I attach to his harness. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. The sides don't stay as upright (tall) as in photo, but still enough to hold him comfortably. Even have room in it for a plush towel to give him extra warmth & comfort. I am happy with my choice. Now when my dog gets in the car he jumps right into it. Before he used to try to get on my lap. I feel much safer for both of us having this for him.

I had a previous model of this that I used for my first dog from 2007 - 2014 and my second dog from 2017 until now. It stood up well & I never had any issues with it. But it was starting to show some wear so I decided to order a new one. Compared with my previous one this one is just OK. Its front & sides are far shorter than my previous version & even though I have the same breed/same size of dog, it simply does not provide as much containment. The front/sides keep collapsing if she puts her front paws on it which never happened with the previous one. The top strap is in a different location from the previous & the back of the seat simply does not lie as flat & balanced as the previous version. I'll continue to use this until such time as I can find a better one that I can examine before purchase. I always find it disappointing when supplier's change the quality of the product to keep the price lower.

This one is a great booster seat
If you don't buy this, do buy another brand along with harnesses for your dogs. Many dogs run off after car accidents never to be seen again! This one is a great booster seat. Ideally, your dogs should have a harness on for the attachment to connect to. Otherwise, with just a collar, your dog's neck could be broken in a bad accident/rollover. The best location is in the back seat where there is no airbag to hit them in the face. An airbag deploys with so much force, it could easily kill them. The seat need to have a headrest to connect around. I bought 2 chair cushions each to allow them to look out of the vehicle easier. I'm a repeat customer for this product as I had a small one for my little dog whose top weight was supposed to be 10 pounds. Well, she's almost 20 lbs. so I went up to the medium. I bought one for my other dog as well. There aren't any instructions and if you have commonsense, you'll figure it out quickly.

Enjoyable Ride For Pups
Have used these seats for 15 yrs. The 4 stars received do to smaller straps and closures and wish they had improved the attachment of straps to seat, it causes the rim to fall below the attached area. My pups enjoy riding in them and they are comfy and secure on long trips. I always use a harness to secure them in the set NOT their collars. They do hold up the one replaced was vinyl and it lasted for over 15 yrs. I do like the new padded bottom. I actually ordered the medium size this time for more room.

Please all check out AMAZONS open box/warehouse deals..I got this taking a chance it was used and it arrived brand new..saved me so much money..works great in my Jeep Wrangler with my little chihuahua BAZinGA..has adjustment for all secure straps for this seat and I have even reversed the seat attaching it to the backside of my front seat..for safety and my air bag in the passenger side..has a secure strap that is also adjustable so the little dog I have won't leap out of the seat or approach you while driving..we ordered the little larger one and also because we love OUTWArd HOUND products we have added a folded kennel pad to his seat and in Ohio with winter sometimes his fleece throw..it's fantastic..he sleeps often and is very comfortable that he shows no anxiety traveling..

This is the second dog seat I have bought for my shih tzu puppy. The first one attached to her collar from the side of the inside of the car seat. However, she kept managing to get out of the seat and then hung over the edge of it to the back passenger seat. After seeing a friend buy the Outward Hound Booster seat for his shih tzu puppy, I decided to buy the same one. It is an excellent booster seat which attaches to the puppy's collar or harness from the back of the seat. The puppy is therefore secure and not able to clamber out of the booster seat! The medium size is I think better for a growing puppy and should suit my puppy well into adulthood. An excellent buy, well made, and easy to install on the single back seat of my car. The straps aren't long enough to fit to the double back seat which is a shame as I would have preferred to have her where I could glance around and see if she's OK. I have therefore fitted a special mirror to the back seat (where her booster seat is (bought from Halfords) which enables me to view her by looking in the driver's mirror. I would ne very happy to recommend the Outward Hound Auto Booster Seat.

We have a (very small) Jack Russell that had been suffering quite severe car sickness. We thought we'd give the booster seat a try to see if it helped. It didn't stop the car sickness (we found dog travel sickness tablets more effective - also bought on Amazon) but our dog definitely liked the fact that she could see out of the window. My only concern is that it is a bit like sitting in a hammock so she bounces around in it quite a bit. We usually put something soft underneath it to give her a bit more stability. Would recommend for small dogs.

Great addition to the car
Great little item. Charlie, our chihuahua mix wasn't too happy in the beginning to be suspended in this, but after one or two trips, the ability to look out of the window got him over his trepidation! Glad I bought medium rather than small even though he is only 10lbs as he can turn around inside.

Good for dogs to see out.
Takes a bit of faffing to get straps adjusted exactly but great when it's done. My dog like its. A cushion/towel in the bottom prevents sliding of furry bottoms. I have a JRT and a medium size, good fit
