Great petseat
Seat high enough to allow dog to see out and straps keep seat secure and dog in place. Just wish seatbelt was easier to use with the seat. They have holes too far in back of seat & somewhat covered by fabric. I cut holes bigger to allow easier hook up of belt.

Good and bad
This is a pretty decent car seat for the price BUT it’s not perfect. Pros -the base is very sturdy and good heavy thick material -the height is perfect for my dog to see out the window -the size of the seat is a good width and is plenty of room for my 20lb Jack russel to stand and lay Cons: -the fabric that goes over the seat is really cheap material and is very slippery against the slick base which makes dangerous for dogs to stand or move around. My dog has slipped and hurt herself multiple times because of it (she’s a wiggle worm and prefers to stand) -the zipper on the fabric broke as soon as I tried to move it gently -The pillow is thin and uncomfortable and doesn’t stay in place, the more she moves the more it bunches up or slides around -the harness clip placement is horrible because my dog gets tangled in it and tripped up by it, it would be much better if it was attached to the headrests above where she sits. Also the harness clip is huge and heavy and kind of a pain to get it clipped on her harness To sum it up, the base is great but everything else isn’t. If you’re going to buy this I would suggest using a pillow of your own or dog bed/blankets to use in the base that would make it comfortable and not slippery. And get a separate harness clip that attaches to the headrest. If you already have that stuff, great but if you have to buy it, just spend the extra money on a better car seat.

I love this car seat!!
I have my two small dogs in this car seat. One of them was always car sick when down lower on the seat, but now the problem is solved, and she love to look out the window........ It is absolutely awesome!!!

Great design
We got this seat when it was the SolvIt brand in 2012 for our Pomeranian. She absolutely loves it and we will even take it out of the car and she uses it as a bed too. We recently got a Mini Aussie Shepherd and were on the lookout for the same seat so we were so relieved to find it on Amazon after the name change. The washable liner makes it so easy to clean up since our Mini Aussie gets carsick. It is pretty bulky though so if you have a smaller car, keep that in mind.

Perfect safety seat for small dogs
After my 20 lb French bulldog mix collapsed his previous flimsy carseat by chewing through the supporting frame on one of the sides, I spent quite a bit of time looking for a new one that would be safe and durable, I came across the Solvit safety seat. I really liked that the restraint tether connects to your car seatbelt and not the carseat itself. My dog kept getting ridiculously tangled in the tether that was connected to the bottom of his previous carseat because it comes up from underneath him to his back where it connects to his harness and it was constantly getting wrapped around his leg or torso. The Solvit tether, when connected to the shoulder belt, does not wrap around him. I almost didn't buy this seat because of all the reviews saying how difficult it was to assemble, or how flimsy and brittle the plastic was. I'm really glad I order it anyway because the assembly directions were very clear and easy to follow, and I did not find the plastic brittle or flimsy. It bent where it was supposed to and didn't crack. And it held up to my 40lb daughter sitting in it. The frame took literally five minutes to put together and did not require any amount of strength. I'm not a handy person at all by the way. Every hole has a letter by it and the tab that goes into the hole has the same letter. All that's required is that you put the tab into the corresponding hole, making sure the smooth side of the pieces faces into the seat interior and the holey side faces out, and then you slide the tab into place. That's it. It took me longer to figure out how the fabric goes on the frame than it did for me to assemble the frame itself, but that's probably because I tried to do it without reading the instructions at first. So, the takeaway is, read the instructions. Then everything will be easy. Haha! After the seat is assembled, my dog jumped into it right away and proceeded to chew a cow ear in it. The cow ear fell out a few times and he jumped out, picked it up, and jumped back into the seat to continue chewing. So I guess he really likes the seat and has no trouble getting in and out of it! I was worried that the seat wasn't deep enough when I looked at it online, but as you can see from my photo, it does have depth to it so that the dog wouldn't fall out. In fact it's probably the perfect depth so that a small dog can easily get in by itself. When installed in the car, the Solvit seat raises my dog to the perfect height to see out of the window of my Acura MDX. The top of the seat comes to the bottom of the car window. The seatbelt went through easily and holds the seat securely. It barely budges when pulled on in the bucket front passenger seat even though there is a gap between the Solvit seat and the backrest of the bucket seat. The Solvit seat does not fit in the back passenger seat with a child carseat installed in the middle, at least not in my SUV. It's slightly wider than the width of my bucket seats, which probably is why it's secure and stable in a bucket seat, but means it takes up slightly more room. Overall a perfect carseat for my little dog! Do not hesitate to get it if you're on the fence like I was!

Fantastic seat! Kept my Border Terrier from whining all the way. Best Buy yet!
I bought this “seat” for my Border Terrier, Rufus because he started whining when we were in the car. He didn’t whine if he was on your lap but then that negated the point of his harness & seatbelt. We figured it may have been because he couldn’t see out the window & was feeling carsick. We thought we’d take a chance on this booster seat which, if I’m honest I thought seemed expensive for what it was & I am SO glad we did! Rufus hasn’t whined once in the car & he has had several outings, some of which were quite lengthy in duration. It would be worth the money just for the quiet alone but the booster seat is very well made & obviously comfy too. I would feel safe having him in this seat, attached by his harness if we had to brake suddenly. Rufus is one of the bigger build Borders & he fits in nicely (as you can see in the photo) he was laying down flat diagonally in it & I feel confident in saying he could curl up in this if he wanted to. I would definitely recommend this booster seat to anyone who has a Whiney/car sick dog. It’s a thumbs up???????? from me and a definite two paws up ???? from Rufus!

Solved it Solvit
The answer to all my problems. Purchased this for my miniature dachshund who until now would try any trick in the book to escape restraints and find a way to get to me in the front of the car. Bad enough when travelling with someone, a nightmare on solo journeys. The solvit has done exactly that, she is now a very happy little puppy as she can see what's going on outside the car while still being safely secured, not a danger to me or herself. Easy to construct, it does take up the full front seat space but that's not an issue for me, I'm glad I got the jumbo one and she has enough space to lounge and sleep in it when she's not watching the world go by. Would definitely recommend and this has solved what other products had failed to. Happy puppy happy mummy bear

My shih tzu ralph would only travel ok if on someone’s knee and looking out of the window preferably head out of the window I was sceptical if this would work and if he would like it because I’ve bought cheaper versions before but he loves it. I’m so pleased as he can now travel with me to see friends and family and is very happy doing so

Amazing for CAR SICKNESS
Im SO happy I bought this! Ive had my chi for almost a year and EVERY car ride, guaranteed to PUKE! I bought some Traveleze pills and this car seat from Amazon and this came first - I needed to try it BEFORE trying the pills to figure out what would work - and today was the FIRST CAR RIDE ever (there and back) NO VOMITING!! Hooray Im thrilled - I honestly thought we would be stuck at home together for her whole lifetime! She seemed really comfy in it too and settled down to snuggle! Thankyou!

Great to look at and practical
Okay, so technically my dog hasn't test driven this yet, but I am going to give it a 5 star rating in advance! I previously ordered the XL of the same brand which was half the depth of this and hung off the top of the car seat. This actually boosts your dog up higher than the hanging version and gives your job room to be able to face forwards or sit/lay down comfortably whilst looking in the direction that you are driving. It looks the same as the other version - so pretty stylish. It also comes with a pillow with fleece on one side and material on the other - whichever your dog prefers or woolly for winter/cotton for summer lol. The only think I would say is the plastic (like the other) is a little hard so may catch their body if you brake hard. I've ordered some swimming pool noodles to run around the rim in a Blue Peter effort to make it more comfortable lol. Providing this doesn't fall apart soon, I think this is a good product. A little on the expensive side if anything. But enjoyable for dogs.
