Compact heater perfect for small spaces

This item has the same quality as other Aqueon heaters, and it is very conveniently flat so it doesn’t take up much room in a small aquarium. It was perfect for my needs for a small hospital tank!

Good heater

I have purchased this filter twice. The first time the heater stopped working, but the second one is doing great. It is very consistent and does what it is supposed to. It was bigger than I was expecting for some reason but it still fits well in my tank. I will probably repurchase this item if/when my current one stops working.

Energy saving for the time being!

Purchased on Dec.2022…was going to return after few days I decide to give it another try…until the winter storm hit SoCal Lately, I double check the heating status when I clean the ball aquarium ( I use it underneath the sands) It heats so well the tank and keep my two angel fish and one betta happy in the tank. My thoughts, it heat the tank efficiently and energy saving. Only complaining the suck cup not always stay on glass (but problem is global shape surface.)

very easy to put in tank but no temp control so you have to watch the tank closely so your water isn't to warm if so you have to unplug the heater

Like thise brand and style

I've purchased this style and brand before. After almost 3yrs it wasnt keeping this 5.5 gal warm enough anymore. This new one seems to be working well. My betta, Pennywise, seems happier and much more active. I currently use this same brand flat style heater (different sizes/wattages) in both my other tanks... a 10 gal and a 2.75 gal. Those are both about 3yrs old too but still seem to be working and heating just fine. I will continue to monitor them all.

Not for tropical uses

It does exactly what it says. Raises the temp a few degrees higher than the room. Goldfish, white clouds, etc this is fine. 76-82 tropicals, not so much. Sleek and sections well.

Whew that was close

I purchased this heater because I have a 1.5 gal aquascape I was hoping to use for planting/temporary tank for my bettas but this heater sort of set me back. I previously was using a 50w preset tetra heater in this little tank and it kept it at 82 degrees Fahrenheit. A little hot but manageable especially for my betta fish which, from my understanding, are supposed to be kept between 76 - 86 degrees Fahrenheit. I like to stay around 78-80 degrees usually so i figured this would be perfect! Boy was I wrong and I’m glad that my Betta wasn’t in this tank with this heater! I came home the other day to this tank @ almost 113 degrees! The point is/tldr : this little heater packs a punch, however I’m sure if you listen to the manufacturer specifications (like I didn’t) it would work fine.

It works

I would give a 5 start if it had an indicator light and a suction cup on the bottom of the heater not just for the cord as it sways back and forth with the movement of the water and the cord comes off the suction cup

Not a preset temperature

I liked the form factor - thin and flat, but was disappointed in that it does not have or maintain a preset temperature. My bad for not reading the product description. Comes in sealed hard plastic that must be cut to open, so i didn't return it. Rather kept is as an emergency backup.

I have a Fluval Edge, they are 6 gallons, and this heater didn’t work from day one. Give this one a miss.

Doesn't work?

I didn't have a problem with their smaller heater (for a 3 gallon tank) got the bigger one for my 10 gal. Didn't work! It seems to be warm... Just can't keep my tank warm. I put the smaller heater in and my temp is already climbing...

Wrong description for tank sizes

I am returning this heater it’s wrong description I have a 5 gallon tank and it’s not heating up my full tank I wanted to wait for a day to see if it would and the water is still cold, this is meant for even smaller tanks , Not up to 10 gallons

Worked for 5 hours

Got it in June but didn't use it till September. I bought this for my quarantine tank. Worked for 5 hours and then died. Can't return as it's too late. Save yourself money and buy something better. Any heater below $45 is useless in my experience.
