Small but powerful
When the box arrived with this heater, I thought I was sent the wrong one, it’s tiny. About half the size of the heater I was replacing, but they are both rated at 1500 watts, so I went ahead and set it up. This little heater puts out a lot of heat, I’m using it in a small to medium sized bedroom in our basement. Here in the Midwest, during the coldest winter day, that room can be down around 55-60 degrees. This little heater, on low, with the thermostat set about 1/3 of the way up, keeps the bedroom comfortable, quietly turning off and on as needed. There is a little fan noise, but it’s pretty easy to get used to. I haven’t needed to run it on high. I did get the oscillating version, which does seem to work well, being a bedroom with a bed and other furniture, I wanted to make sure the heat would be evenly distributed, and it seems to work well. No complaints, hopefully it lasts a while. Being as inexpensive as it is, I’m not sure what to expect, but if I can get another full winters use out if it, I’ll be satisfied.

Heating element clogs relatively quickly, but it also heats up quickly
I've had four small electric space heaters, and of these, the heating elements in the Amazon Basics units have the greatest tendency to get clogged with dust due to the higher airflow. But they heat up much more quickly than the others. Although these heaters have temperature sensors which shut them down if they get too hot inside, it's still a good idea to keep their heating elements clean to get the best performance. There might be some trick to cleaning them without opening the heater, such as hitting them with a powerful blast of compressed air from the front. I couldn't find anything about this on the internet. The standard advice is to leave cleaning up to experts, but I've dismantled my heaters many times to get at the back of their heating elements and vacuum them, and haven't had any serious problems. I tried using a shop vac with a cut-off funnel as a nozzle to pull air backwards through the heater, but this didn't get the heating element clean. It might be sufficient to open the heater up and blast the front of the heating element with canned compressed air, but the only way to know that it's clean is to remove it and examine the back. Removing the element involves prying some plastic pieces outward and prying the element out, all at the same time. Just be careful to avoid touching the front or back of the element with anything hard, because the element is made of soft metal which bends easily, and this can create obstructions to airflow. I'd set the heater on a soft cushion so that it can sink in and remain stable, and to be safe, you should wear safety glasses in case a plastic piece breaks off and goes flying at your eye, although the plastic used for my Amazon Basics units isn't very brittle and doesn't seem like it will break off. Another option (which I've been meaning to try, but haven't gotten around to it) would be to put something like a True Blue electrostatic filter on the back, and vacuum or wash the filter periodically. The advantage of an electrostatic filter is that it contains a permanent ionic charge which traps dust although the filter allows air to pass relatively easily, assuming that it's not too clogged. At first, I had some difficulty reassembling these heaters after vacuuming them, but after opening them and reassembling them a few times, it became easier. I was having difficulty with reassembling one of them, and accidentally dropped it onto a carpet on a wooden floor, and then it was easy to reassemble it, although I can't guarantee that this will help in all cases, and it might damage it instead.

space heater
Works as advertised but yes electric heaters are just not very efficient. Thermostat control is OK but it either runs too high or too low, and I have no idea howthat setting works other than the room is warm enough and you turn down themostat until heater shuts off after which point it seems to randomly turn on again although it does NOT maintain turned off temperature level. Plastic case, mechanical knock over safety shutdown switch... and yeah thats about it other than its a resistor attached to a power source with a turn knob power setting which effectively sums up what it is... electric heaters are not very efficient... Id look for anther heating method for small rooms but Ive not seen much other than electric oil filled radiators which Ive not been able to try(sold out which is why I bought this) Good luck as my utility changed to time of day rates which of course when you really want to use electricity they charge you the special rate. Yep 'renewable' energy is f'ing awesome!

Could use an "off" indicator light
This little heater puts out some powerful heat. I like it a lot -- except for one thing. The light indicator on the heat shows when it is plugged in but does not show when the heater is actually running. At first, I'd glance at it and think it was on. No big deal. The problem is that I can't just glance at the heater and know if it's running (or ready to run when temp dictates). I have to walk over to it and make sure the fan and heat knobs are in their respective off positions. It could use a second light so I know it's on -- not just that it's plugged in. On the plus side, it heats up quickly instantly putting out heat. While it doesn't operate according to actual temperature (ie: 64 degrees, 68 degrees, etc) it does have a gauge that will turn the heat on and off automatically according to its setting.

Great heater, poor on/off range
Heat is outstanding, I had another that was running in my room for hours and could barely keep up, this thing had it warm in minutes. Anti-tip feature works well, maybe too well, I set it down on a usb cord and it turned off so if you need it at any kind of angle it won't work. The temperature control is the big issue here, there is just a nob on top you kind of guess what temperature it will land on, this means setup can take a while if the temperature range is important. Speaking of range, that is the worst part of the temp control, I wanted a room to be 75, it keeps it between 67 and 84, that is a huge range. Maybe I just got a bum one, but it takes a 5 star and makes it a 2 star if you need consistency.

Awesome product. Arrived exactly as promised. Worked exactly as promised. Great seller. Thank you!
Excellent for your basic, small, portable, powerful heat beast. I have it on the lowest setting and it heats up a super large, old house bedroom in less than 10 mins, and I just turn it off. You can just the temp control button but I find for safety reasons, if the machine turns off due to it reaching its maximum setting, it sometimes won’t turn back on until the temp has dropped a little, so you just have to turn it up a bit more. It’s super lightweight but really well made. Not cheap lightweight. It’s bigger than expected too. Almost a foot tall, 7”W, 5.5”D with heat that packs a punch! I am replacing my 10 year old almost exact same one from Staples (back when we shopped inside stores lol) and it’s uncanny how identical they look, just more futuristic. But the difference in how much heat blows out is insane. I used to always use the highest setting running constantly. Now I use this 5 mins at a time about once an hour. At the almost lowest setting. I’m probably saving so much money in electricity. Arrived exact day it was supposed to. Perfect condition. Opened box, plugged it in and HEAT. 30 seconds. Love it. Recommend it 100%. Great product at a great price! Thank you seller!

Product Review
I recently purchased the Amazon Basics 1500W Ceramic Personal Heater with Adjustable Thermostat, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with this product. The heater is incredibly powerful and heats up my room quickly and efficiently. It has an adjustable thermostat, which allows me to set my desired temperature and maintain it with ease. This feature is especially helpful as it saves energy and reduces my electricity bill. What sets this heater apart from others on the market is its compact size and portability. It is lightweight, making it easy to move from room to room, and its sleek black design blends seamlessly with my home decor. Despite its small size, the heater packs a punch and provides ample heat to keep me warm and comfortable. Another feature that I appreciate is the built-in safety features, including overheat protection and tip-over switch. These features give me peace of mind knowing that the heater will automatically shut off if it reaches an unsafe temperature or tips over. Overall, I would highly recommend the Amazon Basics 1500W Ceramic Personal Heater with Adjustable Thermostat to anyone in need of a reliable, powerful, and portable heating solution. It is a great value for its price and has exceeded my expectations in every way.

Works well in small space
Works very well in our small, unheated bathroom. The oscillation helps distribute heat and it has safety features like automatic turn off if tipped. There's several different settings too. Only thing I'm not super crazy about is that the fan is a bit loud. But, a blowing fan isn't the worse sound I guess. No buzzing or anything weird at least.

Works great, but it's a guess game
Best small investment! I keep this heater in the nursery where my little one sleeps since her room gets very cold for some reason. I really love how this thing keeps the room at a warm temperature, and that it doesn't stay on constantly which would eventually overheat the room. The only thing I'd change about it is the temperature knob. Rather than it just being showing "high and low", I wish there were actual temperatures on there so I could know which temperature I'm setting the thermometer to maintain the room at.. It's kind of a guess game when you first get it and then you kind of get to know what works and doesn't work for you. The safety feature where it turns off it it isn't flush with a flat surface is great too! Not to mention I can appreciate that the metal face doesn't get too hot to touch either. To anyone wondering, it's a bit loud when it's on, but it becomes like white noise once you get used to it. All in all I'd recommend this heater as it's cheap, works great, has great safety features and is very compact!

Great Heat with a Little Price
Heats up my room toasty warm, quite too. My room is approximately 10' x 15' and easily heats the whole space. Wife love to drag it into the bathroom on those cold Canadian mornings, rips that heat knob and BOOM its cozy as a mofo in there. Great find.
