Very needed for your panels

Good but not great

This is a good set of mounting brackets. Attaching brackets to panels is easy and brackets are well designed. However, the self tapping screws do not work on roofs with regular shingles. They make large holes and screw stay loose. This is a very poorly designed screw. May work for metal sheets but not sure about the grip. I ended up using deck screws to secure panels on roof.

Good Material

Product is made with good quality material. Anchoring screws are too small in my opinion (probably a number 8 screws. I would have liked to see them a little bit taller because once mounted, it has very little clearance and you cannot reach under the panels if you need to grab the solar panels connectors for any repairs or if you decide to add more panels in order to get to the connectors you’ll need to unscrew the panel (not ideal). Other than that, good product.

Hex head bolts far too long

The hex head bolts are far too long. Why on earth do they need to be 16mm long just to bolt together two approximately 1mm thick aluminium sheets ie the bracket and the panel frame. It clearly shows a lack of research on the manufacturers side as to how they are to be used. You then have two choices to enact a workaround:- 1. Cut them down to about 8mm bit risk damaging the thread Or 2. Buy some M6 x 8mm hex head stainless steel bolts.

Good quality

I had bought some Renogy panels and needed to fit them to my motorhome roof , so thought best get the same make and it was the right move , the brackets fitted the panels perfectly and come with all the nuts and bolts and screws you need , fit nice and sit well on the roof of my motorhome, I suppose the only downside is it a lot for a bit of bent aluminium and some bolts , but then they are well made and good quality

Renogy z brackets, did the job so well and without fuss that I zzzzzzzz easy at night.

Does exactly as it’s designed to do, cheap and effective mounting for Renogy solar panels. Fits the panel perfectly, quick and easy to use and provides perfect 4 point mounting. Just seen some quite interesting weather with high wind speeds and these held the panels in place without problem, what more can you ask of them really? Cheap, neat and effective, we bought them to hold 2 panels to the top of a shed and they have done exactly that.

Nice secure fit

Bought these as part of beginners solar panel project and they fit securely , due to covid , panel delivery was slightly delayed. Renogy customer services were brilliant with information constantly, and gave me these free of charge as compensation. Thank you Renogy.

Great item, they fitted the solar panel and easy to fit, the only thing i found is that the self tapping screws are a bit too long as they came through the lining, and had about 1/4" too long. I have had to put a length of timber for the ends of the screws to go into. Not too much of a problem. as i am fitting some lights along the middle of the van... In saying that i am well pleased as i could complete the project. Now saving to get a second Solar panel i will be buying this product again...
