I recommend a spackle knife instead

I probably shouldn't be so harsh, but this just didn't work for me. Granted I am a novice when it comes to taking down wallpaper, but I eventually found a much better tool that suited my purpose and skill level: a flexible spackle knife. I used the WP Chomp wallpaper remover (which I highly recommend) plus a scorer, which I found very necessary. It is most likely my poor technique, but this scraper is so sharp, there is a fine line between removing the wallpaper and gouging the wall, and most of the time, I crossed that line. If the wallpaper glue was not fully dissolved with the Chomp, the scraper couldn't get the paper off anyway, and if the Chomp did its job, there was no need for the scraper - the wallpaper just pulls right off. As a novice, I found the flexible thin edged spackle knife could get between the paper and the wall without digging into the wall and at the times that the wallpaper glue wasn't as dissolved as it could be (but was pretty close), I could use the spackle knife to gently scrape the paper off. The other thing to consider is that this thing is extremely sharp and has no protective cover, so you must exercise great care with it. And to store it, you probably need to remove the blade which is an extra hassle. As this is a one-trick pony, I have no use for this, unless I can figure out how to shave with it.

OK. 4 inches would be a 5 star if ...

OK. 4 inches would be a 5 star if I could find one to replace the one I lost. I use for purposes other than stripping wallpaper. Gets rid of uneven paint, for example my garage door was not completely dry when shut, so when opened it took paint from trim. Evened it out. Also use it to unstick painted closed windows, used a hammer--be sure to use safety glasses just in case, although I've never had a blade break. This is all about my lost 4" model, but assume the 3" would work as well.

Great tool for scraping

Be careful the blade is super sharp. I peeled the wall paper off like jelly. I would tell them to put a hole in the handle so I could hang it up on my tool peg board. Otherwise it's great for scraping off just about anything

I am a professional painting contractor, and this is the only scraper I have found that works for removing wallpaper without gauging the walls. I ordered an extra one and spare blades to have for the future.
