Just what I was looking for

I haven’t used them yet but I’m sure I’ll like them. I hate it when people leave reviews like that. So these are perfect replacement for a scraper that is probably 60 years old that I’ve always enjoyed using. I resharpen my scrapers until there’s nothing left of the blade and the steel on these blades appears to be comparable to a much older set of blades that I have. I would and will buy these again.

My favorite scraper, by far.

Red Devil scraper is the best scraper in my kit. I have probably 5 scrapers that I use one after the other, and then sharpen all at once. The Red Devil scraper is the first to get used. I sharpen and shape a convex edge with a grinder, and then while scraping, I have a hand file to resharpen the edge. Compared to multi edge , square scraper blades, here you only have one "set" of blades. No flipping around. But you have access to 2 blades, while the square scrapers are fixed, and you need to flip with a screwdriver. Now funny story...while sharpening with a file, it might make a turkey gobble noise, like a slate/stick turkey call ... and the wild turkeys came to see what I was doing - honestly. I was on a ladder, sharpening the scraper, next thing I know, I see a few wild turkeys stroll up to the ladder.

Scrapper blades

I'm so glad I found these replacement blades. I purchased the original scrapper several years ago and I have used it for several projects including scrapping paint off old houses to wood finish work to get a super smooth finish in oakwood projects. Easy to sharpen and holds a super sharp edge a good long time. Highly recommend.
