Good product by confusing Color choices

I have been using this product for many years with great results. I ordered two new packages, believing that they will both be white. I received one white and one black. Black on a white cage does not look good at all. I got refunded from Amazon. Trying to understand how this happened, I realised that the culprit is the cor choice of “assorted colours”, which is odd. This is very confusing to a buyer. What is the purpose of this choice? If there are only two colours available (black and white), it will be much less confusing to allow the buyer to only specify black or white. Why having some one at the seller’s end arbitrarily deciding which colours the buyer will be receiving?

It becomes a contained mess that's MUCH easier to deal with!

Wrapped this netting around the cage and it has worked like a charm. The only thing about it is the seed and feathers are caught on the bottom elastic and will still fall out when you move the netting, BUT it's a contained mess that is MUCH easier to deal with than chasing feathers and seeds around the whole dang living room with a broom every day! Now i just keep a whisk broom in the bird cabinet and when I lift the netting I do a quick sweep of the stuff that falls out. It does make the birds harder to see on the bottom of the cage, but mine mostly hang out on top perches anyway, so not really a big deal. Highly recommend.

Tight fit for larger cages

This might be better suited for smaller cages. Mine is 41in high, 31in Long, and 20 1/2 in deep from front to back. It is stretched to its limit on the cage. I need two to cover the lower half of the cage. It works ok. It would be easier to clean the excess seed and feathers out without spilling if it had a slack area for it to pocket into. So if you have the dimensions I have, it does work, but its a bit tricky. Perfect for a smaller cage though. The price is good, which is why I took a chance on it. Also be aware that you may not get the color you ordered. White was the only option for the size. My first one was white, but the second one I received was black.

It says Assorted colors....not always what is pictured.

The product is awesome, works great. I got a large for a 30"L x 18w flying cage for my parakeet. Only reason i didn't give 5 stars is the picture showed a WHITE mesh (what i ordered to go with my white cage) but when I received the product, it was black. When i reviewed my order it says "assorted colors". Hmm, didn't see that. So now i have a white cage with a black mesh on it. Not sure if i am going to keep it or not. I'm not sure that if i reordered it, that i wouldn't get the same black mesh. Just be aware that there isn't a certain color that you will receive.

Fits my Prevue rectangular seed skirt cage

My little parrotlet is a messy guy even with a cage that already has a size catcher. This is big enough that it even encloses the seed skirt and goes well above the dishes. Deducting one star because you don't know what you are going to get with "assorted colors" option which is what I picked. I really didn't care what color it would be unless it was something like orange or neon green which definitely would not look nice. They were selling black or white for over $13. The color I got was black for a little more than half the price which I consider a good deal.

Pretty good! But wrong color :(

Bought this for the seed and dander my cockatiels do, mostly my white boy Ponyo who shakes and gets comfortable then all his dander flies everywhere and can be difficult to clean. One thing was I wanted it in black but they delivered it white? Guess it's okay. I will be buying a second one to cover the rest of the cage. My birds dander is a problem. It fits quite snug and hopefully the seeds won't fall out. I'll update in a few weeks if there are any issues

Not bird friendly

Bought this for my messy eating birds, great idea but not practical. The birds kept getting there nails caught in the netting from inside the cage, had to make creases and folds to stop there nails from getting caught, but still unsuccessful. Have to remember to remove the netting completely when letting the birds out because they get caught and stuck on the net. Yes it does what it says on the box and collects the seeds, but not bird friendly product.

Disappointed

Expected it to be green and it was black! Cage is round and it keeps slipping down. Seed and feathers just get caught in the bottom of it so that when you try to remove it for cleaning everything goes on the floor anyway! Quite disappointed especially as the price I paid was quite high.

This item is as described. Has saved me so much time hoovering up seeds which would scatter all over the place. I was worried as the fit was a little tight and thought it would rip when putting it on and off the cage but it is very durable despite being snagged quite a few times!

Goes around the bottom of the cage okay but is not tight enough underneath and the seed starts to fall out if you don't empty it more than once a day. I'm sure these things should completely meet underneath the cage.

So good, I bought another one

I was so pleased with how this item had reduced the about of mess caused by my budgies, I ordered a second one. They also wash easily.
