Type 4 kinky curly hair approved

I always come back to this flat iron after trying others. It is the only flat iron I have ever use that can get my hair bone straight. however, I have previously had heat damage due to this flat iron so I stopped using it and I am back though because the other flat irons that I have tried just could not straighten my hair well, so I am back to using this one at a lower temperature than I use to. I use it at around 410° F . I have natural hair and I tried my best to preserve my natural curl pattern but I am considering heat training my hair to make it easier to manage because my hair now reaches waist length in the back and it’s a lot to work with so I am fine with straightening again. I put four stars because I did notice that there was a chip on the plate and chips plates can cause damage so I am very careful with making sure to use heat protectant but I am thinking maybe I should return this and rebuy because the chip on the plate is not okay.

I like this tool except for the power switch is on the side of the handle. I hold the handle to use it and always end up shutting it off. Super annoying!

Works well on thick hair

I have super thick wavy hair and this flat iron does the trick. Its got an amazing temp control dial and feels right in your hand.... only tip I have is wearing a heat resistant glove because by the time I'm all done with my hair the casing gets hot.... but this is with all flat irons not just this one.

I am not a review person. but I always read reviews when I am buying something. So hopefully my review can help other people who are confused about which hair straightener to buy. From Past few days I was looking for a straightener that gives me dead straight hair in just like 1-2 attempts . Did a-lot of research. And found this one. As you can see my hair is curly. And you can also see the after results. It gave me the exact results what I was looking for. The results are amazing. And its worth the money.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

I had high hopes and was looking forward to using this straightener but was brutally disappointed. I have curly, thick hair (3c type to be exact) and did my research online while reading reviews. There were a handful of mixed feelings from curly girls as well but this was one of the top rated that might suit my hair. I am a university student and $171.00 for a hair straightener is something that I was willing to pay for quality yet the iron did not deliver that whatsoever. I only used it recently, having being home and having the time to straighten my hair, and realizing that it takes longer to heat up than my six year old flat iron, and even then does not reach the same heat as it nonetheless, barely did anything to my hair. I just used it for the first time 2 days ago for about a half hour in which I did a few test sections and reverted to using my old flat iron. Unfortunately it's a few months after I bought it and passed Amazon's 30 day return policy, I am left with a crappy straightening iron and $200 out of my pocket that has much better use elsewhere as a young student. I am completely and utterly disappointed.

Wow ????!!!! My wife has extremely curly,thick hair and this is the only straightener that has worked for her so well. Heats up fast , range of temperatures and a great price considering what you would pay at a salon. Definitely recommend ????????
