faster, better for your hair and achieves better results
Drybar Reserve Vibrating Styling Flat Iron, 1 inch I thought the vibration would be sort of gimmicky. But what it does is help you to maintain even tension with every pass of the tool on your hair for more predictable and uniform results. Because you aren't having to go over sections repeatedly, your hair is exposed to less heat and damage. It's faster, better for your hair, and produces better results! The plates heat up quickly and evenly to avoid scorching and patchy results. Extra-long 9' cord. Universal voltage so can be used without a converter overseas. Auto shut-off. 2 year warranty. I do wish that you could see a numeric temperature instead of just lights to indicate the temperature, but the highest temperature is 450.

Low quality plates
The plates snagged my hair. I have fine hair but a lot of it. Overall it felt cheap. The vibrating function sounds cheap. It didn’t leave my hair smooth and was really hard to create waves with. Totally not worth the money. I sent it back.

Definitely unique!
Before this I had never heard of a vibrating flat iron before. I’m still not 100% convinced if it adds any extra benefits or what the science is behind it but it makes the flat iron unique to the point where I wanted to try it out. I have thick hair that’s naturally pretty straight already but does get occasional waves in it. I use a flat iron when I’m going out and want to make sure that my hair is going to stay in place. The good thing is that you can turn the vibrating feature on or off. I tried straightening my hair with it on and off and I didn’t see a difference but I think the vibrating is to help people who have curlier hair. The flat iron glides really smoothly through my hair and didn’t get stuck or rip any of my hair out like some do. One of my complaints though is that there isn’t a digital screen to tell you the temperature but instead just 4 or 5 dots that show what strength of temperature you’re on. I know it goes up to 450° and I don’t need that hot so you have to play with it to find what heat setting is the best for your hair so you don’t fry it off. I really like Drybar as a brand and I like this flat iron but I’m not convinced that it’s worth the $190 price point that it’s currently at. It’s a great flat iron that heats up quickly and does a great job straightening your hair but I have had the same results with a $40 flat iron. I think finding the value in purchasing this flat iron will just depend on your hair type and your personal needs that you are looking for.

Works great
I got this for my daughter-in-law, and the following is her review: I wasn't sure about the vibration feature, and even after many uses, it still surprises me when it starts to vibrate when I first start using it. It does, however, seem to help the straightener slide through the hair. I use this on myself and both of my daughters, and we love how quick it is to get straight hair. It heats fast, and I only need to do one, maybe two, passes on each section of hair. The buttons on the side are nice so that you don't accidentally turn them off. The unit feels very high quality, as you would expect for the price. It is lightweight and portable and does an excellent job.

Works really well
I was skeptical about the vibration feature on this because I had never heard of it. But whatever it’s supposed to do, it does help get my hair nice and straight without looking frizzy. It’s easy to use and the vibration is very subtle so it doesn’t make it difficult to hold the iron while sliding it down your hair. I haven’t had issues with this grabbing hairs and pulling so that’s also great — it’s nice and smooth without rough edges to grab things. The digital readout is easy to read and overall it’s easy to use. I’m still not completely convinced it’s worth $190, but if you have the money it definitely works. It feels well made so I’m hoping it lasts many years.

Pretty good
As a typical flat iron, it works great. Glides smooth, no snags, no frizz or weird ends. You get stick straight, flat ends easily. If you want to curl or style it is great for that too. I don't like that the 5 heat settings are just bars and not the actual heat temp. If your hair is picky with what temp will work, you may not like not having the temp displayed. The vibrating feature can be turned on or off and I just didn't see much benefit to using it. Maybe I don't understand that aspect or maybe I need to use it more - I've been using it for 2 months now - but I just don't see much difference when using the feature vs without.
