Good flat iron for price
Pretty good flat iron for the price. It does come with a lifetime warranty but you do pay to ship. I have thick, wavy, coarse hair. It heats up quick but does take several passes to straighten my hair. Also, I have TJ clean it with alcohol each time as it leaves marks in the iron from my hair. I have never had one do that. I would not say it's the best but it does not burn my hair.

Al comprar lo hice con dudas, pues nunca se sabe realmente el tema de la resistencia y temperatura de la plnacha. Es ideal, tiene un control de temperatura manual que se gradua de acuerdo a la temperatura que uno necesita, alizo el cabello como se lo esperaba y muy facil de maniobrar pues el cable electrico no estorba por la forma en que este gira. Lo unico malo es que no trajo consigo algo que permita ponerlo luego de su uso mientras se enfria. Recomendado: 9/10

Shortage in cord
Stopped working after less than 6 months. The turn dial for temperature broke as well. Unable to tell what temperature it’s at.

Takes some practice but you learn to love it
I waited over a month to view this because after the first use I wanted to return it. Over the first week I learned that it doesn't work like a standard flat iron you do have to learn how to use it. Because the plates are different you do have to turn up the heat setting higher then you would on your typical flat iron but it does not burn hair. Once I worked with it and really learned how to use it gets my hair perfectly straight. Like so straight some people don't even know my hair is naturally curly lol. Now I love it. When I first tried this product it was at the mall and I was tollway sold by all the claims the salesmen made now I haven't tested my luck and tried it on wet hair but it does stay pretty straight on humid days and I don't sweat my hair out in the gym. I've paid over 100$ buck for a straightener before and this one is the best I've ever had.

Loved this product purchased at a mall now purchasing on line
I bought mine in California at the mall. During the holidays and this product was amazing!!! Sad to say it didnt make it home with me. But i did enjoy this product my hair still smelt like my hair products after straightening (not like burnt hair). that is what sold me on the product and my hair was silky shiny after( i have very thick dry frizzy hair compare able to horse hair) lol honestly no damage after and my hair actualy was healthier after 3 weeks of use now thats AMAZING!!!! So i am purchasing another one on amazon due to no locations were i live and the sutra sight is super expensive i just dont have the $$. when it arrives i shall give my honest opinion on product since i am a previous owner and really appreciated the product.

Burned my hair at first use. Waste of money.
I purchased this item at the Great Lakes Crossing mall after being interrupted while shopping. I was slightly confused because the demonstration lady kept telling me it would not damage my hair because it works with steam. I asked her where you put the water in and she said "no water, steam...it doesn't need water" I was a little baffled but she curled and straightened parts of my hair with it and showed me how to use it. I didn't want to buy it but she went on and on about the lifetime warranty and that I can bring it back if there is ever a problem. With those terms, I agree and bought it. She told me my hair would stay curled for 2 days. It had fallen out by morning, so I tried to straighten it myself. I used the same setting she did and it fried my hair! I washed my hair and let it air dry then tried straightening it again and still pieces were breaking off. I decided to take it back and she told me there were NO REFUNDS but I could get another straightener or other products. Basically, you can take it back...but you can't have your money back! But wait it gets better....below is a picture of the safety instructions. This includes the line: Do not use with bare feet. I found this extremely confusing until I mentioned it at work and an electrical guy said it had something to do with grounding. I take that to mean they don't have any confidence in the safety of the electric cords in the device! The lady also told me that only the products sold at the mall or through their website are authentic and items on Amazon are not under warranty. While I did buy my product from the mall kiosk, it had the sticker on it that you see in the second picture below. She assured me my receipt proves I bought it from them. If however, you cannot return it to the kiosk (because they often close or change malls) there is a $20-$40 shipping charge to return the item......even though it's not your fault if it quite working! It is a pretty peacock printed flat iron that does not work as expected and damaged my hair the few times I used it. I would definitely not recommend this product and would buy a CHI or even a cheap store brand flat iron with a real warranty & return policy!

Best brand!! This is my 2nd Sutra flat iron. And o love love love it!! Came quickly,gets hot fast, and leaves your hair shiny and smooth!

not a smooth feeling on the hair
I liked the design, I liked that it was ceramic, but it pulls the hair and it also has fried my hair, My hair has gone from dry to burnt in the two weeks I have used this product.
