Girlfriend loves it!
If you want your girlfriend to live you, buy this. Apparently this has changed her life. She was losing so much hair from using old school straighteners. She said after using this she doesn't "shed" nearly as much and he hair feels very healthy. Its pretty expensive, but I think for what you are getting it is worth it. Hopefully it lasts a long time. I will come back and update if any problems arise. But so far so good! ????

Broken Parts/ Needs Replacements
I got this for Christmas and finally tried it. I've used several more expensive flat irons but always loved those Caruso steam curlers. The Steampod is very quick, gentle, and easy to use on my long, coarse, frizzy, mixed hair. My hair did look more polished and shinier. Now, the bad news, the metal tooth comb that guides the hair broke off. It actually slides off so I could still use it as a regular iron steamer. Then the water container broke off. It's plastic and very small. I was hoping to replace these two pieces. For the record, I was using it on my long hair only for special events, however my daughter was using it daily for her shorter bangs. I'm not sure if this tool with its moving parts is that durable. I really loved using it, but I might go to Costco to get something else at a better price.

May not be worth the price but is promising.
I may have to return it. I have experience with other steam straighteners - all "unknown" brands. They were all similar (with the built in comb) and adjustable heat settings. The 1st one I brought, I paid about $60 for it. So far it was the best even adding this Steam Pod. I accidentally left the 1st one in a hotel room and it was never found. I tried to replace it but couldn't get the same one. None of the others I tried ever compared (one kept "spitting" the water out in 1st minute or 2, and the other didn't straighten well at all). Considering the 1st one, this Steam Pod is close. However, the Steam Pod required more passes than the 1st one (on the same setting. I will try the highest setting before deciding if I will return it). But the Steam Pod pulled/snagged less hair I'm the comb than the 1st one. I should note that I have what is considered a fine texture of hair. I am not sure it's worth $250. I decided to try this one before the Dyson. I almost purchased the Dyson a few weeks ago and just couldn't convince myself to spend $500 (before promo). I do have an Air Wrap Styler and it is so worth the price so I am confident. I will update this review next week once I decide.

Worth every penny
I recently purchased L'Oreal's Steampod Pro 3.0 on Amazon Prime day. At $50 off, it was too good of a deal to pass up. After a few weeks of use, here's my initial feedback. The partnership between L'Oreal and Rowenta to create this product is a good one - they've made a great product. So far, this splurge purchase has been worth every penny. I’m not good at styling my hair, I’m a wash & go type of person. Since I turned 30, my hair gets more unruly, wavier (in the weirdest way) and frizzier every year. Now I have to use a styling tool to tame my hair into presentable style! This SteamPod doesn’t use heat to straighten or curl, it uses steam which is less damaging. It's easy to use despite the larger size. With my old GHD Platinum+ and T3 SinglePass flat irons, my hair got fried despite only using it 2x a week. Not with this baby, and I see similar results -- my wavy, unruly hair is straight, smooth, shiny, and less frizzy after one pass. It also doesn't feel as dry. I have tried two styles so far on my just below shoulder length hair — straight and loose curls. Both easy to do, and the style held up all day in the Bay Area temps. Bonus - it takes less time for me to achieve these looks than if I used a hair dryer and round brush. My only nit and it's a tiny one: Like all steam irons, you need to use distilled water so you avoid mineral build up and damaging your SteamPod.

Great for travel
I bought this for a travel dupe for my Redken Steam Infusion flat iron. I was afraid that the tiny water chamber wasn’t going to be big enough and that I would have to refill it multiple times bc I have a TON of hair. But since the chamber is right in the iron itself, I didn’t have to refill it all. Overall, I won’t be using it as my go to at home but it will be great for traveling since it works good enough and it’s a lot smaller than my Redken

Where has this been ?
Let me just say that this is the holy grail for people like me, no matter what I use I get some frizz, been coloring my hair for years, some curl, so just naturally dry. Process was use my Dyson hair dryer to remove about 85% of wetness, then dryer brush to finish off the drying/straighten process, then put hair in rollers to finish off smoothing process. Saw this, and thought why not, had about 59.00 bucks in pts. and Amazon was selling it $150. What I did today was again took majority of moisture out with my Dyson, put some of my Kerastase balm in and let it finish air dry, needless to say specially on the crown, there was frizz. So I thought, this is really going to surprise me if it works, sectioned off my hair and started the process, couldn’t believe it one pass and voila smooth hair, Thank you God, always was envious of women that had that moveable hair, and best part it didn’t leave it bone straight, when I got to ends, gave it a twist under, worked perfect. We’ll worth the money for me anyways!

Amazing, def worth it
I live in florida, died my hair and bleached many times, they r long and wavy. All the other hair straighteners didnt hold my hair straight bc florida and humidity, but this one does and for a week if needed (unless the hair comes to direct contact with water like rain and shower). My hair feel healthy after using it without heat protection, but i put the ouai oil on them afterwards to add some shine. Love it and absolutely worth it!

What a difference from my traditional straightener
I bought this as a friend had suggested it. Her hair was perfectly straight during a really humid and rainy time in Ohio. She said this thing was the key. I promptly added it to my cart and it arrived the next day. I was a little sticker shocked with the price, but I have spent $100 or regular straighteners and have always still had frizz to my hair. I have very thick, and semi coarse hair. I used this the first time before work yesterday. I am a believer! my hair was softer and the straightest it has ever been. There is also a shine to it that I have never been able to achieve before.

J'ai bien reçu le fer mais il ne fonctionnait pas. Impossible de l'allumer. J'ai procédé au retour et j'attends toujours le remboursement malgré que le paquet est été retourné.

Una gran compra
Cumplió y superó mis expectativas. Aún no domino la técnica para hacer ondas por el grueso de la plancha pero el cabello queda súper bonito y el alaciado dura mucho más que con otras planchas convencionales.
