Don't leak

I ordered these to replace my other feeders that started leaking. So far these are not leaking, and I am hoping they don't. These are smaller than my previous feeders, I am having to fill them every other day.

Quality product - brought the birds to my yard

I've had this feeder for over 2 years. It hangs in my backyard under an awning over my deck... As a result it's not really exposed to rain. I recommend you keep it covered if you can to minimize rust or from water leaking into it and also keep it shaded from the sun. I boil one part sugar to 4 parts filtered water to make the hummingbird food. PROS: -Sturdy glass and metal -Pretty -Attracts the hummingbirds -Easy to clean -No leaking CONS: -The red coating on the glass bottle is susceptible to peeling however mine is 90% intact after two years (I attribute that to the awning above to protect it from most elements -Small speck of corrosion under metal plate and a tad around the flowers but has not grown since I started oiling the metal. -I feel bad there is no perch for the birds to sit on while they eat. Who wants to run and eat? Next one I get, I'll try the kind with the perch. TIPS: -Wash in cool water. I found the glass coating would bubble when i used hot water. I used a bottle brush and toothbrush and dish soap to clean it. -Try to hang under an awning if possible to minimize exposure to the elements (rain, sun) -In warmer weather, make smaller batches of nectar to replace it more often. From what I've read the bacteria will grow faster in the heat so I want to make sure it's fresher for the birds. -To minimize rust, make sure you dry it completely after you clean it paying extra attention around the holes of the flowers. Dab it good with a paper towel and get under the flowers too. Make sure the lip of the bottom plastic plate is completely dry as that is where the metal piece will sit. I also put some organic olive oil on a paper towel and rub it on the metal parts to give it a coating especially around the flowers and the edges. -ENJOY!

Beautiful

This is a beautiful alternative to the ugly, plastic red feeders that are so common. This feeder will allow nature to remain the star of the yard and will not be screaming for attention like some garish plastic junk. Thank you for providing a feeder that both the birds and the humans will love!

Beautiful but unused

The glass is absolutely beautiful but my hummingbirds won't eat much from it. I believe it's because of the way they have to sit to drink. There are a lot of birds that visit here everyday, not to mention the 8 to 10 hummers. They must let their guard down too much to get a long drink, unlike our original glass with the red bottoms.

One of the best hummingbird feeders

I like that the red attracts the hummingbirds, stylish and it is easy to fill. Although this version is smaller than the previous version which surprised me because I did a re-order - it does the trick.

Doesn’t fill nectar tray

This is good because it’s glass and you can sterilize it. I gave it one star because when fully assembled it doesn’t feed nectar into the tray very well. You have to twist on the top fully and then a full rotation backwards and then the nectar will start to flow properly.

Love It

Just beautiful. Can't wait to put it out this year. Don't use that hummingbird nectar with the red dye. It's causing sick hummers that pee red and possibly causing tumors as well. Bad stuff that red dye. Make up your own solution with sugar water. Check out how online.

Great looking feeder. The hummingbirds will drink from it without landing, which has allowed me to take some great pictures. Very happy.
