Decent value but poor quality control

Seem decent enough but poor quality control, will need to 'profile' and re-sharpen 2 of these. I realize these are very cheap but the tips on 2 of these were pretty bad. Seems like decent construction and well put together, please realize you may need to do some shaping and sharpening.

Great Quality and great for the DIY mechanic

Great set of pry bars. I was skeptical at first because of the low price. I was shopping around for pry bars and looking at a set that was a big name took company, was double the price and only had 3 pry bars. I hadn’t heard much about Performance Tool brand before, but I saw the reviews and gave it a shot. I’ve had these for about a year now and they are amazing. I have a 69 Chevelle and these bad boys have been getting worked. The only thing, is after grabbing them with my greasy hands the printed name comes off the handle, no biggie just expect it. I have since bought other performance tool brand tools for my garage to include the flywheel turner and they have all been great.

Buy these if you want/need a set

This is a pretty decent set, and the price is tough to beat. I haven't gone jumping/hammering on the ends of the handled bars yet, but I've been quite hard on them. They don't flex excessively under heavy load, and the steel seems to be of good quality. The handles are nothing to write home about, and they lack a striking surface. Also the tips are a little more blunt/thick at the end than I'd like, but with a $30 set I didn't feel bad about taking a bench grinder to them. I use another 16" ladyfoot/rolling head prybar about as much as any other tool I own, so when I saw that this set included one I figured it would be nice to have an extra. It seems to be a step up in quality compared to the other bars in the set (likely a product of being one-piece and simpler to construct). Judging by how hard I've been on this one so far, it's nearly worth the price of the whole set all by itself. Would recommend.

I bought this set of pry bars for changing lawn mower tires. I know I will use them for many other jobs, but at the time I bought to help remove and replace lawn mover tires. Replacing the tires was still a pain in the back side, but was much easier with the pry bars.

Should Have Gotten These Sooner!

I've only used the smallest pry bar so far, but it works very well for my purpose. I have very rocky garden soil and I'd been using the handle from a broken trowel -- it had a wedge-shaped end where the blade used to be attached -- to pry out rocks. It was pretty effective, but after a lot of use the nice padded handle came apart. This was the only real pry bar with a padded handle, and the price was good. Now I wish I'd gotten it long ago! It really just pops the smaller fist-size rocks right out. . I'm sure I'll be using one of the bigger ones to pull off some molding or help pop out some of the larger rocks. I'm sure I won't regret having them all.

Good starter kit, but fragile handles

Pros: - Great starter set. - Variety of sizes - Value for money. - Steel bends instead of snapping like some cheaper sets. Cons: - Handles are fragile. If you drop the pry bar the handles crack. - no striking cap - Will flex under heavy force. Can't go wrong for 30$. Better than having no pry bars. If you're just starting out in mechanics you're definitely going to need some pry bars. If you can afford it, get a set with striking caps on the end of the handles. If you're on a budget, get these.

Good value

Bought this to help with suspension check ups on my silverado. Ive already found multiple other uses for this and so far so good wuality seems decent and they come with little orange protective tips, dont know how long before theyre lost but nice little add on.

Handles

After sitting in my tool drawer for 5 months I used the 12 inch bar, And the handle came off in my hand when I pulled on the pink cover for the tip,to remove it. I’ve used the other sizes and no problems, My question is,is this still under warranty? If it is I would like to return it. Not happy,would not recommend,

Surprisingly light, but they do the job they're intended for. Would have liked the tip to have been a bit thinner (at least on the smaller ones) but I'm still happy with the purchase.

Very good value!!

I wasnt expecting much when i ordered these but the reviews backed up the product and the price you cant beat. I flexed the long sucker trying to get a piece of metal unstuck and the bar retained its shape. Im a fairly strong guy and im sure i could snap it no problem, the construction could be slightly thicker. Cant beat this for the price!!!
