Over priced for the size and lack of functions.

Somehow when I bought this crockpot I thought it was going to be 10 quarts. I read over things pretty well, and I missed that I was buying a 6 quart crockpot. It is too small and I have had to transfer to other pots which sucks. Even when I type it in the search bar for a 10 quart crockpot, this is one that comes up first. I have used this crockpot. It works great for cleaning it and to cook with it on the stove first. I really do love that feature. I don't like how the handles get so hot when it is on the stove. I also don't care for the shape. Because when I was frying up veggies in it first before making the soup, I did not have a burner that fit this pot very well. It is more rectangle and not a square. Most stove tops the burners are circle. So overall. This crockpot is ok. It was pretty spending for the size for me. I am still really disappointed that it isn't bigger. It also says that it has time settings. So I thought I was going to be able to set it to start cooking 8 hours from now. It does not have that option. It just has how long it will cook for.

Lightweight, non stick finish bubbles after 1st use.

I like it was lightweight. I didn’t like that the nonstick finish starts to bubble up after first use.

BEST EVER CROCKPOT!!!

Just finished making chili in my new 6qt De'Longhi crockpot. So super easy to use! I placed pot on stove top to sear the hot sausage & hamburger then transferred it to the crockpot shell. This Pot is definitely nonstick. I cooked on low 7.5 hrs. Everything was fully cooked, moist and tender. The veggies were al dente, which I love. Blanche the veggies first if you don't like al dente or cook longer. The clean up was AMAZING, fast and easy. First of all, the pot is so light compared to the heavy clumsy ceramic pot. I didn't have an extra pan to clean like I do when I use ceramic pot. No scrubbing and using elbow grease to remove burnt on sauce which I have done in my ceramic pot. My other ceramic crockpots boil on low so I compensated by adjusting cooking time to cook longer. Compared to my other brands of 8qt and 4qt ceramic crockpots, this is the best crockpot I've ever owned. I would like to eventually switch my crockpots over to all Delonghi. I would highly recommend this crockpot. Bonus: it's easy on my back since the pot isn't heavy and cumbersome

Does not cook well

I love crock pots and have used them for years. I was looking forward to an easy-clean, versatile product that could be used on the stovetop prior to cooking. And I was also wanting a timer with automatic keep warm option. This product looked great!....until it came time for something to be done and cooked! What would typically take 10-12 hours on low for a 3-4 pound roast to cook, took an entire 24 hours on HIGH!!! I cooked it for 14 hours on low the first day and it was still completely firm and not able to shred, and then the following day put it back on and cooked for 10 hours on high. It finally shredded, but was still tough and difficult. The roast was the same we always use and not a different or tougher cut. I decided to give it one more trying with a chicken chili recipe. What should take 4-6 hours on low to cook & shred chicken took almost 11 hours....4 on low and 5 on Medium. I wish so much I could love this crock pot, but ultimately returned it, as I do not have time to come home to food that is uncooked!

Beautiful in every way

There's so much to like about this slow cooker! The cooker itself is a real looker beautifully made with great eye appeal. So easy to use, if you need to sauté onions, celery, mushrooms, or whatever the inner pan can serve as a place to sauté or partially cook your vegetables' or brown meats etc. right in the cooker inner pan and put back into the slow cooker never losing any flavors due to transfer. This is a true slow cooker and foods are never burned or overcooked. The low and hi settings do what they should and the timer and keep warm function works great. I love this slow cooker and use it when ever I find an excuse!

Waste of Money

If you're looking for a good slow cooker, don't choose this one. Low setting = lukewarm. Medium setting = warm. High setting = medium warm. Impossible to cook a chuck roast or pork roast because they will never get tender. I've tried both on cuts of meat on low and medium settings. Switched to high setting and got the same result ... tough, rubbery meat. I'm not new to cooking, and I've had several slow cookers over the past 50 years. This one is the worst. Gave it two stars because: 1) the removeable pot is easy to clean, and 2) the controls are easy to read/use.

DO NOT BUY - THIS SLOW COOKER DOES NOT COOK

I do not typically write reviews but had to this time. I've tried to cook a pork roast in this slow cooker and after 18 hours it still was not done. This cooker is only good for keeping food warm (does not get hot enough to cook food). Waste of money. Do not buy - any other cooker would be better. I've reverted back to my "cheap" slow cooker and it works like a gem compared to this one! I will eventually buy a new cooker but need to get over the anger of being robbed by this company first.

A Great, Easy-to-Use Little Appliance

I am loving all of my new, small Delonghi appliances! The Livenza Programmable Slow Cooker with Stovetop-Safe Pot is an excellent and useful addition to our kitchen, and one that we keep finding new uses for every couple of days. Some of my favorite features of this slow cooker include: - the size is perfect, not too big and not too small. For example, it fits beef roasts easily, as well as larger chickens (5-6 pounds), and a big enough batch of chili that we can have leftovers. - it is very easy to program, and features “intuitive” controls. It also has low, medium, and high heat settings - this is great because my old model did not have a medium heat setting. In addition, it automatically switches from “cook” to “keep warm”, so your meal is warm and ready when you are. - the cooking pot is very easy to clean, is lighter-weight than other models, and is able to be used on the stovetop if necessary for certain recipes. One downside is that the handles, while making it easy to lift, make it awkward to fit in the sink for washing. - there are many other features and uses for this slow cooker, but these are the ones I have discovered (and loved!) so far. Overall I am very pleased with the Delonghi Livenza Programmable Slow Cooker. The design is simple and easy to use, but can still do exactly what you need. If you are looking for a new slow cooker, or a wonderful gift for a wedding shower, etc., this is definitely a great model to invest in.
