LOVE THESE!!!
I have bought these for all 3 of my kids when it was time to potty train. I know people think these are just covers for cloth diapers, but they are perfect for potty training!!!!!! Last thing a mom wants is to be in the middle of the grocery store when you see your kid make that face that tells you they just had an accident. Without these, you would see a puddle on the floor, but with these the mess stays trapped inside and it’s just a quick change and you’re back to shopping! No more worries about potty on the floor or in the car seat!!! Also fantastic when potty training at night. No more changing the sheets in the middle of the night. Just pull off their undies and “plastics” (as we call them), put on fresh ones and back to bed! It’s as easy as that. I have recommended these to all the moms in my life!!!

Not exactly 100% leakproof but still a good option!
First of all sizing is way off! I had to go 2 sizes down from the suggested size. I am now using a small on my 2.5yr old. The bands around the legs are pretty soft and does not leave any marks on her legs. At first it does not hold in a any liquids at all but after a while I realized that you need to make sure the leg bands are pulled up to the vey top of the legs and and the panties are all tucked in nicely inside the plastic. Even with all that done, it still leaks if she has an accident while laying or sitting down. It does hold everything in if she is having an accident while standing up. Even if it leaks though, it does hold in some liquids so you have a little less mess to clean up. Also, I feel this help with the potty training over pull-ups since my child hates having accidents in it so she is more inclined to use the potty instead.

Better than Gerber for potty training.
Purchased the size small for my avg. 22month old who wears 2T underwear. If I had wanted baggier the medium would probably have worked but I wanted more fitted. For you mamas out there about to start the potty training journey, we used the 3 day method at 19mo. and it worked though it was more like 7 days. Now we have graduated to a phase where accidents are pretty rare but do sometimes happen if she's really engaged in something and just forgets. At first we used a pull-up only for naptime and at night, just in case, but this was very confusing for our little one. It looks and feels too much like a diaper. So now we use these for nap time and sometimes trips away from home over a regular thick cotton underwear. IMO this is a MUCH better option than pull-ups because on the rare occasion of an accident, she knows it immediately because she can feel that her underwear is wet and she says something. The "plastic pants" as we call them in our house are just there to saves parents the extra mess on her sheets, etc.. I can't speak to their use for all night, we haven't use them for that yet For those considering these as diaper covers for cloth diapering, I could see it working if you change it regularly. We did regular cloth diaper covers because I just liked the cute colors/patterns etc.. but if you were on a strict budget these could be worth a try. Also as my headline mentions, these are much sturdier than the Gerber diaper covers which are thin and one had a rip on the side in the first week of use. I bought Gerber first because we love their cotton training pants and it is a trusted name and it was cheaper but in this situation, you do get what you pay for.

Size down for potty training
I got these because my son was having accidents at day care and these were suggested. Since they are really made for fitting over cloth diapers and technically not potty training they run large. I originally got a medium which was a size smaller based on weight suggestion and the were still too big. I ended up getting the small and the fit a lot better. For reference my son is in 2T-3T underwear. Once we got them he has been better about using the potty and hasn’t had any big accidents to know how well these hold in the liquid but it seems like they would do just fine as long as you have the right size

It’s a Poop Trap!!!
This is going to be an awkward review, but here we go. If you want a plastic diaper that keeps pee and poop in then these are 5 stars. Buy them and they’ll just do that. If you’re using these for potty training...SKIP them!!!! My sons teacher had the brilliant idea of me buying him plastic underwear so that when he would pee in them they would make him uncomfortable therefore teaching him not to go on himself. Okay, sounds like a great idea, I’m down for it. I put these bad boys on and waited. I couldn’t wait for the moment to say “see that doesn’t feel good”. Well thirty minutes later my baby came walking up to me in a weird waddle. I said see doesn’t feel good, you have to go in the potty. So then I proceeded to change him and that’s why everything went south! I quickly realized that these bad boys were holding the pee and poop in really well. It was like a weird water balloon. I couldn’t figure out how to get them off of him without the pee spilling out everywhere. As I was pulling pee was pouring out and then to make matters worse he had diarrhea. There was poop and pee sleeping out of everywhere. It was absolutely disgusting. I just had to throw these underwear away it was that BAD. Ultimately the joke was on me. Please learn from my mistake and have a better plan to use these. As I said, they hold everything in amazing, but it’s a trap. The take off is an explosion.
