Don't size down
I have a 11 month old at 95th percentile for height and weight (around 26lbs right now), aside from his seriously chunky thighs, he's not chubby, just -big-. We got these to help with the dampness from his clothes due to the diaper leeching/wicking overnight. Going by the other reviews, these were said to run big and to even size down but I decided to go with the packaging and ordered a large which is for 26-31 lbs and both the waist and the leg holes were too small. I'll be returning and ordering the XL so we'll see but it's disappointing to see there's no size after that so we might end up needing another solution.

They work well enough
They don't actually absorb anything but they do hold urine in up to a certain amount. My daughter has leaked out of them though. They do prevent bigger messes.

These over underwear the child feels wet and understands better than pull-ups
Well by the time I got these my granddaughter did so well with potty training that I gave them to be used on grandson 6 weeks younger and so far doesn’t want to do it. But I know they work well cause I had another set that I used and they work well. I recommend that if you have a little ont that sets a large volume a one time that you use the thicker training pants under them. Most little ones only pee about 2-3 oz and when they start to feel wet they will let you know. However there are those that just let it go all at once and 4 or more oz at a time and if they do that then sitting fast running or falling they will leak Good luck. Ps I was real luck with my sons especially the 1 st he just started taking his diaper off going to the potty chair and bring his diaper back to be put on one day at 15 months so put him in underwear and that was it. My 2 Nd one was17 mo but not overnight every night and he could water the world in one trip. He was the one I learned about putting on the thick trading pants and this plastic pants

Works but fit baggy
I thought I needed a smaller size but the leg openings fit right. It is very baggy...maybe meant to accommodate a cloth diaper?? So it makes her pants bulky looking. It works well though...holds pee accidents but it is just floating in there so when you take it off might want a towel handy since it doesn't absorb at all. We've had a couple of 'splash' messes while removing. I don't use them all the time but when I do, it does the job. I really need more than 2 but like I said they are so baggy it makes me not want to put them on her. Plus 3 layers to take off every pee time is a pain. Still worth it for avoiding messes especially during potty training.

Excellent
My 2 year old is potty training and I use these as an extra layer of protection. Remember to use potty training underwear underneath these. Regular underwear are not thick and padded. If your child drinks water like mines do just be ready for a puddle of pee from a few drops to an oh jeez stand in the tub when I take these off. They wash and dry easily. I hang dry for longevity. These do not crunch like when I was a kid.

Good for potty training
I have bought these twice now. Was very pleased with the first pair. We have been using them for months over my son's underwear at night just in case he has an accident. When I bought a second pair in the next size up, one of the covers lost the waterproofing material after just a few washes. It was kind of like it melted and peeled off, though I didn't wash them any differently than the others. The other one in the package seemed to hold up for the several months until my son didn't need them anymore. Like other reviewers have noted, these do run large. Since we were just putting it over underwear and not a bulky cloth diaper I was glad that I sized down. I guess for the price, 3 out of 4 holding up isn't too bad and will probably do the same for my daughter when she is ready.
