Cudos for Amazon

I have owned many Pana Vise product over my electronics carrer and hobby. I have had a lot of luck with such handy equipment. This time there was a glitch. The product i received was damaged somehow. Amazon responded quickly with my request for return. I just received the replacement and it certainly stands up to the Pana Vise reputation for the quality I expected. If you do any intricate bench work where you wish you had three or four hands, you can't go wrong with this company. For the price this vice is more than I even needed. It will last for many years.

Fails to hold any circuit board securely. I can’t use it.

The clamp just won’t stay locked on any circuit board. It drops the board at the least opportune time, while I’m soldering!

Terrible holder for circuits

This holder may be able to hold butter or cheese, but not circuits. This is by far the worst circuit holder that I have seen in my entire career.

Small and lightweight.

Holds small PCBs poorly

Not as stable as I had expected. Too much play in both the slide lock and the moving arm. Very disappointed.

Won't hold board

This unit won't properly hold any medium to large boards. The adjustment mechanism causes pressure near the support bar to force the arms apart toward the outside, so while you may get a good grip there, it's nearly a 'point contact' type situation, allowing the board to rotate and fall out of the holder. While I like that you can flip a board around from top to bottom, this pretty much negates its usefulness. Unfortunately, this feature makes it impossible to keep the board parallel to your work surface. Definitely good only for a paperweight.

Really weak grip

This vise is awful. I've got some other Panavise models that are fantastic but do not buy this one. The way the arms are designed it's nearly impossible to actually have the grip anything, including a circuit board. Clunky and poorly designed. Unfortunately I missed the return window but do yourself a favour and go buy the "Model 201"
