I've had it for a few week. I'm 6 foot tall. I don't have to lean down to use this. I knocked off 1 star because I think the box part, the part that collects the doo doo could be sturdier.

I'm pleasantly surprised!

If you use this product every day you will be pleasantly surprised that it is sturdy, well made and easy to clean. The rivets are put in right and there is enough metal to ensure it won't fall apart. This is the first large spade I've seen. The handles are one piece wood and do not have to be assembled. I ordered 4 more.....

Not as advertised

The shovel did not come bent as shown in advertised. Not easy to use.

The rake is good, but the pan is flawed in design

There are a few things that I like about this "pooper scooper," but it has one major flaw that makes it really hard to use. I'll start with the good things. I love the very long handles because I am tall. I don't know if a short person would like the long handles. I like that the rake has the flexible teeth. It's easy to dislodge poo poo from between the teeth. The bad thing is the size and angle of the pan. The pan is large, way too large for picking up dog doo. (Heck, I'm not picking up cow patties! Maybe some people use it for that.) But, the worst part is that the pan is perpendicular to the wooden stick. The photo that I'm looking at right now (next to this review), shows a pan that is slightly tilted downward. That's what it needs to be. But, the pan that I received is at a straight angle with the ground. It hurts my arm and hand to try to hold the pan in this awkward position, and it hurts my hand to then try to tilt this huge tray so that the poop slides easily into my bucket. So, I'm using the new rake from this set with my old pan from my old set. Whoever made this item -- you need a smaller tray that tilts downward for easier picking up. I have five dogs, and I've been picking up dog doo for about 20 years. I know what I'm talking about. I'm an expert at pooper scooping (one of my finer talents).

May have considered getting a bigger dog, had I had this before getting our latest K9!

Goodness gracious, this 'pooper scooper' is exactly what we needed! Previously we'd used a simple small rake to pick up after the dogs and do a balancing act and a fancy twist of the wrist as to gallantly deposit the doo-doo in a not so fancy bag but we have 2 Labradors and 2 Pomeranians and after the 2nd or 3rd nugget, my fingers would cramp and my wrist would ache and I'd strain to hold on to that stupid tiny rake. No more balancing act or fancy flick of the wrist, just rake it onto the scoop and then drop the whole shabang in a not so fancy bag!!! I would've totally considered getting a Great Dane, St. Bernard or Mastiff instead of this lil Labrador Retriever, had we had this glorious tool when we picked our new puppy 3 years ago! I would totally recommend this :) Also, I am 5'9" and the handles are plenty long enough, I do not have to bend over to use this scooper.

Makes poop scooping easy!

This thing is great! I wish I had purchased one of these years ago, instead of the crappy plastic ones that the teeth always break on. The length of the handles is perfect for me; no more hunching over to clean the yard. I have 4 dogs; 2 smaller (20-ish pounds) and 2 bigger (45-60 pounds). With that comes multiple poop sizes in the yard. The bigger poops were always easy to get, but those smaller ones...not so much. With the rake, now they are all easy to get! I like that the pan is bigger, as I can rake up a lot before dumping it in the garbage. This really does make cleaning up after my fur babies so much easier...and quite a bit more enjoyable (ok, it's never enjoyable cleaning up dog poo, but this actually is much easier to use than the other styles of scoopers, it is more enjoyable!)

Poop scoop is fine quality

I prefer the hoe style over the rake. I find I can lightly chop into the grass and snow when necessary to clean up a mess. Rakes don’t allow for that as easily. These were made well. Considering the nature of the product, I found it a little amusing there was cling wrap to protect the metal’s finish during transport.

This has been a god send.

This literally has been a god send. I am really tickled stomached to getting my dogs poop up I have always dreaded it but with this it makes life so much easier! I don't have to bend down at all to pick it up. I just scoop it onto the tray and straight into the bin no messing at all. Even if it's runny you can scrape it onto the tray. What I do once a week is use some jays fluid and hose pipe to clean it down the drain.
