Nice weight

I bought this for my son. It was critical that it be dishwasher safe. I gave him the choice of three different scoopers and he chose this one because of the weight which makes harder ice cream easier to scoop.

Sister made me buy it for her!

I have had this ice cream scoop for quite some time and love it. My sister was staying over at my home and raved about the scoop after she figured out what it was. Of course I had to buy it for her as well. Much better than the conventional oval ice cream scooper in my book.

I was teased for buying this...

My wife is basically a heathen and uses a large spoon to scoop ice cream. I got annoyed with constantly bending spoons back into shape or putting the ice cream in the microwave before scooping it so I bought the Ice Cram spade. I was ridiculed when it arrived. Now she begrudgingly uses it because it (not unlike me) is far superior. It's the right tool for the job.

Staimless steel easy grip ice cream scoop

I’ve had this model in aluminum for years and loved it but tired of washing it by hand and hiding it so others don’t put it in the dishwasher. Can’t wait to use it.

Scoop above the rest!

The paddle cuts through ice cream like a hot knife through butter. Bought it because it reminded me of a scoop my folks had when I was a kid, but this one is far sturdier and has a more comfortable handle (the one from my childhood had a wooden handle). You will love how well this scoop works!

This is an amazing utensi! It can scoop out the hardest frozen ice cream with the greatest of ease. And adding the wide scoop area it provides enough dessert for anyone. It’s a best buy!!!

Works well but does not ball ice cream.

We had to work to spoon out hard ice cream from the freezer with our regular ice cream scoop. This is much easier although it leaves the ice cream chunkier in the bowl. I recommend.

Super strong. It really is an ice cream spade.

This really is an ice cream spade. Its beautiful made with simplistic rock solid construction and the best ergonomic soft feel handle making it so easy to use. I’m ignoring that air filled whipped frothy nonsense you can extract with your fingers and talking beautiful rock solid spoon bending real dairy ice cream. The sort that satisfies both mind and body. Used for the first time this evening on ice cream straight from the freezer. No waiting for softening, no spoon indented sore palms, just plunged right in and 2 easy bowls spaded in seconds. Dream come true.

Strong

Most scoops are not strong enough. This one is. It does not bend and has no weak join at the handle. Copes well with really solid ice cream. It is large so probably not suitable for the small tubs (eg B&J). Excellent oxo quality
