Actually Does Live Up To The Hype

I felt guilty trying to eat healthy and using paper towels to dry my greens. I also tried the regular towels too but I found the process to still not feel efficient. I was surprised how useful this proved to be the first time around. So far it’s love at first sight. I hope it stays that way as I continue to use it. Look if you don’t eat veggies this is going to be a gimmick for you, but if you do eat veggies in the form of salads, protein bowls/grain bowls, fresh juice, etc, this is such a time saver. I was shocked that just a few pumps actually got my produce clean. Bonus for a speedy delivery based on my area! This thing came fast!

Love this Larger Lettuce Spinner!

I've had the small one for years and now that we are growing our own lettuce, spinach, and other greens, this large spinner is the ticket in our household! It spins easy and fast, alleviating most of the water off the leaves after cleaning. We even store our greens in it and put it on the shelf with the highest head-space in the fridge. We harvest once a week and it works great for us. Nicely made with quality plastic and is sturdy. A quick rinsing and drying off is all that's needed when putting in a new harvest of greens. Just spin and chill! We love this salad spinner!

Best salad spinner!

This is the best salad spinner I've ever owned. It's large enough to hold 2 stalks of romaine lettuce each cleaning. I lay the stalk on its side and cut approx. 2 inches off the end of the stalk. I slice the remaining stalk in 1 ¹/² inch slices. Place the sliced stalks in the basket and rinse under the faucet. Place the basket in the bowl and pump about 15 times. Pour out collected water and pump again. I place the lettuce in a container with a couple of sheets of paper towel and cover with a tight lid. The lettuce lasts for at least 10 days in the fridge with no browning. Love mine so much I purchased 3 more for family members.

Easy to use

I bought this salad spinner to replace the oxo one I’ve had for too many years!! I’m amazed at how much nicer this one is. It has a much smoother spin and the bowl is a more compact shape. I bought the 6.22 Qt size and it’s perfect. Very satisfied!!!

Love it!

I dump my fruits/veg, fill it with water, add vinegar, let it soak. Don’t touch it for 10 minutes. Dump out the water, rinse, make them spin! I love how easy it is to clean my fruits and veggies in this. It’s amazing and glad I found it!

Best lettuce dryer I've owned

Managed to melt my old lettuce dryer on the stove (!) but am very happy with the OXO lettuce dryer. Didn't really know which one to choose but OXO products have always performed well for me. I like the clear plastic bowl, the spinner is easy to work and dries the lettuce well. It does lock in place easily which is convenient for storage.

A Critical Appliance to Battle Bacteria

Food Safety is the main concern - I wash all my fruit and vegetables in this spinner with some white vinegar. This new design is an improvement - more substantial, 4 separate parts, operates well, sturdy acrylic parts easy to clean, and good fit and finish. Well packaged. It was somewhat more expensive than I had expected, but once it arrived - I get it. It’s worth it.

Super Spinner!

This works just great! Very powerful spin which leaves your salad dry and crispy. Sticks to the worktop too - which is a good plus. (So much better than bunching up lettuce into a teatowel, going out into the garden and spinning your arm around like mad - which I've been doing for years! Although I do miss the exercise ...) Salad keeps fresh in it for at least two days as well, which is handy as I always make too much, and used to waste loads. Now we have salad two days running, or use it the next day in sandwiches, etc. (I think it would last longer than two days, actually, but haven't tried.) So it's a money-saver too! Only downside for me was where to store it, as it's quite big, and my cupboards are full. I solved this by finding space for just the lid in a cupboard, and storing the bowl itself in the 'fridge. Yes, you do have room! Just put all your unprepared salad stuff inside the bowl. (Give it a quick swill round before using, of course.) Job done!

Good product

Good product. I do notice that its easy to use, and very little strain on the hands compared to my older brand. I did notice that you have to do the lettuce in small batches to more effectively remove the water from them. I like this product

A NICE ACQUISITION

I got this recently and am very happy with it. I used to have a system of of washing salads in a colander and placing that over a large 'pyrex' dish to catch the drips. the only trouble was that it was time consuming and annoying if I wanted the colander for other purposes whilst it took time in allowing the water to drip through. Now I can spin salads etc dryer in seconds. This spinner is very well made, as are all products made by 'OXO' that I have bought in the past. I cannot yet state if it will be prone to staining by items such as fruit juices, or the juice of sliced beetroot, but the spinner is made of various types of plastic and so may well do. I will update my review if this becomes fact. Eamonn
