Great purchase!

Have used this - every slot - for over a year. It's sturdy and holds even heavy shoes. It hangs on a door that's opened and closed a couple of times everyday day. Glad I bought it!

Affordable storage organizer

I have a decent sized closet, but wanted to organize my shoes so that I had floor space. I have two doors to my closet, one of which I don't open, so I thought this would be nice to hang over the unopened door. It's super easy to assemble and the look from the outside isn't anything obvious (the hooks that go over the top of your door). I will say beams that hold your shoes definitely have to be wedged into their slots on the left and right poles that hang perpendicular to the floor. Their inserts are also plastic, so you have to be a bit gentle when you prop your shoes on their prongs (I've had one of the horizontal beams pop out of their sockets a few times). However, the prongs that go into your shoe to hold them and quite long, allowing you to store high-top shoes and even low-rise boots on them, which is nice. If you plan to use the door, it might be too heavy to have to swinging open all of the time.

Not quite what I was hoping but still really good

As soon as I saw this thing I fell in love with the idea of using the inside of the closet door to organize the family's shoes. It comes in a surprisingly small package, and becomes bigger than you imagined after a very easy assembly. Pieces fit great and you don't really need the manual to put it together. For the price it is really well made. Unfortunately my closet door too, as for many sad reviewers before me, was just a little too narrow. The shoe rack actually fits perfectly on the inside, taking up the entire width of the door face, but you need to fiddle a little to get it closed. It can be done though. About shoe size. They did cram a lot of hangers in there, so no - you will not be able to fill up every slot with mens shoes. On the other hand I'd be equally disappointed if I bought it to organize my kids shoes (which incidentally I did) and found them sparsely scattered over the door face, not taking advantage of the available area. So apart from the fiddly closing of the closet door, I'm pretty pleased with my purchase. Well worth the money. The next challenge will be actually getting the kids to hang up their shoes there.

Very unassuming

Nifty little bugger! Comes in a small package and is SUPER easy to build in a few minutes by yourself (even faster with a friend). Initially, it appears to be flimsy, as it is very lightweight. During assembly it will get pretty sturdy as you attach the "shoe racks" properly. It was pretty satisfying to pop 'em in. YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY (This is good or bad, depending on your point of view): 1. I use it as a coat rack and shoe rack, since I don't have that many shoes. (6 pairs is plenty for me). 2. There is also enough clearance where it will encompass your doorknob, but leaving it still operable. If you don't set it correctly, it could block your doorknob and/or locking mechanism. Personally, I don't mind it, but it did take some adjusting to find the "sweet spot". 3. It has SO much clearance, that I actually left my old door coat hangar on the door with it. They don't even touch. Again, not a problem for me, *BUT* the door opens about 85% of the way now. (Due to the nature of the door location/wall design.

Nicely built.

I’m in love with it. The screws secure the rack in place so the rails don’t go slipping out. Good deal for the money. This actually replaces a shoe rack I’ve had for many years.

Not for adult size shoes!

This is not for adult size shoes! The u brackets that hold the shoes (go inside the shoes) are not long enough to hold bigger shoes, so the shoes fall forward and stick out far from the door or just fall off. Also, the u brackets are so close together that they do not allow two pairs of shoes to be placed next to each other, you have to skip one u bracket in between each pair. This therefore reduces the number of shoes that can be held on the rack by half. Returned!

Bought this from America. Sturdy build, made of decent metal components. Holds plenty of shoes. You can fit walking boots in by facing the sole of the boot towards the door. Not one complaint from the Mrs about this.

Effective

This is the best shoe organizer I have owned. It hangs over the door on the inside of our walk-in closet. Sturdy and stays in place just by hanging. Even though the rack is full, our door opens and fully closes easily. Was easy to assemble. The most efficient and effective shoe storage system I have used.

Hat Organizer!

I did not buy this for shoes, but for hats. It was simple to put together, took under 5 minutes. No tools needed. No problems with fitting over the door.

Bought it for hats and works well

I bought this for hats and it easily holds 20- 30 hats and is much sturdier than other hat holders. Fit over the door no problem.
