Used on bright red plaid, mostly worked!
I wanted to dye a bright red plaid vest as black as possible, and was surprised how well it worked. It took two dye sessions which means I used the whole kit and didn't have to worry about storing leftovers. The directions were very clear and easy to follow. My first dye session, I followed the directions exactly and dyed for an hour, then used fixative as directed. The second session, I followed all directions and left it in the dye for two days just to see how it would turn out, then used fixative as directed. Vest shows no damage and I'm happy with the level of black it reached in the end. You can just barely see the plaid pattern if you look closely, but I'm still satisfied. Last two photos are after I dyed, used the fixative, and machine washed them. I've only washed it once so far, not sure how well the dye will hold long-term.

Best purchases ever
This product is seriously one of the best things I have ever gotten. I bought it multiple times now. I am a millenial goth lady, married to a gen x goth lady. I have 2 daughters who also like a mix of bright cheery clothes, and black goth clothes. Basically we have a lot of black clothing, and a lot of it is incredibly faded. I love thrifting as well, and sometimes I end up with cute things in colors I dont wear much. I also love stretchy comfy jean shorts but the softest are always light wash which I begrudgingly wear. Anyways, I decided to try this on some things, because we had an accident where bleach spilled in my laundry room and me and my friend tried to fix it as fast as possible but so much got bleach stained :( anyway I liked this product so much that I bought tons more with 1 day shipping to try on other things, because I got an adhd fixation going on now lol. I was able to dye me and my wifes faded black shirts so they look crisp and dark black, in multiple materials too not just cotton! Even band t shirts etc if they are printed the pattern doesnt dye which is wonderful. Was able to dye some light color band shirts I like but tend to not wear for thr colors, and now I love wearing them. I then dyed many things like tank tops that had colors I didnt like, and did the same for clothes my daughters didnt like the colors. Had a blue and white and navy striped top that is now light grey, charcoal, and black stripes which looks absolutely awesome! I dyed maxi skirts we had, including a white one that was totally see thru which I can now wear. I added vinegar and salt which help with certain materials, and used 2 big stock pots on the stove, and dyed in one, and fixant it with the other. I did not need to stir for 30 to 60 min like it said either, just occasional like soup lol. I also got extra dye because the water evaporates and gets sucked up by clothes, so if u are doing a ton u will have to add water and lots more dye, because towards the end, the dye water will just make it grey, its not as powerful, so keep it new. If anything is too light just dye it again after washing it. Anyways this is awesome, and I am excited to wear my clothes again, its like having a new wardrobe, and I'm so happy, as is my wife. My kids want me to buy more colors soon like purple which we all like, so I'm gonna try that soon too. Wish I tried this in the past to avoid giving away clothing id have still worn! Buy this, and fix up your clothes, you wont regret it!

Brought my jeans back
I have 2 pairs of jeans that I love, that started as a velvety black, and were on a cold water only no dryer life cycle. Then my laundry was done for me as a “favor” - leave it at that. 1 pair is a heavy cotton denim with light stretch and the other pair is a full stretch. The kit dyed the natural cotton and mostly synthetic pair easily. The process does take a few hours but is pretty easy. I did step 1 on the stove, and step 2 in the sink. Each pair was done separately on 2 different days, because it does take awhile. Per the directions you use ½ bottle per session/ item. Definitely wear all black when you do this and an apron. Ordering another kit to touch up a few shirts and a hoodie.

Blotchy results
I dyed a pair of tan/brown linen pants black and got blotchy results. I followed the stovetop instructions exactly as this was my first time dying a store bought garment (I’m a seamstress and have dyed fabrics before, just not a manufactured garment). I got blotchy results after completing the process so I dyed them a second time and they look better but still blotchy enough I won’t wear them as they are now. I’ll have to buy a different brand of dye and try it again.

Regret not taking a before pic cause the after was wow!!!
My fav jacket had bleach stains and bottle said it may not correct it. Well it did and my jacket looks amazing. Before throwing the water away, grabbed 4 tops, threw it in there and wow!!! Everything dyed looks brand new. Glad I did this as oppose to saying goodbye to some favorite pieces.

Worked great!
This product really revitalized a pair of black jeans. They’ve been washed a couple of time since and I can’t tell that any fading has occurred.

Great product
Wow! They are black again. I dyed my daughters black school pants that faded to basically to a blackish/gray from washing so much all school year. I’m surprised they turned out that good and I did 3 pairs all together in the washer with 1 bottle. That saved me alot bc he pants are $70 each. So I’m happy

Didn’t dye anything
Followed the instructions to the letter and this dye only dyed the wooden spoon I used to stir my clothes. Wouldn’t recommend!
