Not effective at all for me.
If you're reading this review, your doctor probably suggested you wear night splints for your plantar fasciitis, and this Mueller Adjust-to-Fit night splint looks a lot more comfortable and doable for you than the large ski boot looking ones containing hard plastic. Because they look quite comfortable compared to the other types of night splints available, I really wanted to like this night splint, but it was not effective nor was it comfortable for me. The tiny instructions (you may want to have a magnifying glass handy) included indicate that the strap is to be positioned under the ball of the foot. In practice I found that the strap, overnight, would just slide down behind the ball of my foot (toward my heel), allowing my foot to droop down substantially while sleeping. The next night, I tried tightening the strap more than I did the first night, but that caused 2 issues for me. One was that the strap again slid back behind the ball of my foot letting my foot drop, and second, when the strap was made tight enough to keep my foot near 90 degrees, the way the strap (which is what provides all the support) wraps around the side of the foot and criss-crosses over the top of the foot (not shown in the photo provided because it's under the soft grey covering), it would put squeezing type pressure on the sides of my foot. That side squeeze, for me, resulted in excruciating pain after wearing the splint for a couple of hours to the point I had to just pull the splints off (I had one on each foot). In short, I purchased these because they looked soft and comfy. They have no hard material in them whatsoever. However, I could not find any way to keep the strap positioned under the ball of my foot, and when tightened enough so that my foot would be held close to the 90 degree position, the straps because of the side pressure they exerted, became extremely painful for me. I wear a size 11 1/2 to 12 shoe and tried these in the large 0.40 pound size (really? ... that's a size?).

Disappointing
I used another Mueller plantar fasciitis night splint ten years ago and it worked well. So well that I gave it to a friend who needed it. That splint, Mueller Adjustable Plantar Fasciitis Foot Night Support, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004ZDCK56/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_A7W0VA0Y14ZPXDQ0EWVT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 , is no longer available so I chose another by Mueller. This one is very disappointing. It's difficult to adjust and it really did not hold my ankle in the desired position. I'm opting for another brand that is similar to the Mueller of years ago.

Doesn't stay in place
I have plantar fasciitis and need something to keep my foot flexed while sleeping. I was hoping this soft brace was the answer. Unfortunately, it doesn't stay in place. I've tried repeatedly to keep the strap across the top part of my foot, as instructed, but it inevitably slips down after I fall asleep. The design is close, but there needs to be one more strap to hold the brace in place. It's the most comfortable brace I've worn so far, so I wish it would stay in place.

Great Alternative to a Night Splint
I have plantar fascitis and my podiatrist recommended that I wear a night splint to keep my foot at a 90 degree angle while I sleep at night. I felt like the hard boot type gets too hot and uncomfortable to wear all night. Therefore I started to wrap my foot with an elastic bandage support. I discovered this one while looking for an alternative. The Mueller Adjust-To-Fit Plantar Fasciitis Night Support is much easier to put on than the wrap each night, comfortable and does not get as hot as the night splint or wrap. There are two straps underneath, near the ball of the toes that you have to pull tight. It's attached to the two velcro wings (black portion above the ankle) that you wrap around your leg. Then a third strap (shown as gray in the middle of the velcro wing) does the final tightening so that your foot is supported at close to a right angle. It sounds more complicated than it really is. I usually put it on in a few seconds just before bed.

Far Cooler Than Most, Offers Enough Support
These are tricky products, as long-time users know; in this case, the goal was a replacement for the umpteenth boot I'd tried for plantar fasciitis, which would be cooler. Most are hot. Even though I was unsure if this design would prevent discomfort, this construction seemed it would be cooler. It was! Not a 5 only because the upper closures are a bit over-engineered, with the third and final narrow strap making its presence felt if you need to cinch it tightly. But, I'd buy it again.

Does not fit big feet
I am 5'11" 220lbs with US11EE. This brace is too small and when tightened cut off circulation to toes. Always weary of one size fits most because I am usually the un-most. Not therapeutic at all. Also, still made in cH!n@.

Actually can fall asleep wearing this one
Suffering from Plantar Faciaitis, I feel like I have tried about everything available. I thought because this was soft, it would make sleeping easier. It does, but since it is soft it does not provide the same level of support and for some reason I kick it off some nights. Decent product, just not sure if it is the best for someone with a severe condition

well made
I ordered a large and need one size smaller, but feel the product is a good product and will tighten well and keep foot in the appropriate position. Well made and easy to fit to foot.
