Mostly entertaining, fairly effective
I purchased these to even the playing field between my cats. They like to fight. Or maybe they don't, but they insist on fighting anyway since they hate each other so much. The one cat is declawed* and the others are not. Since I started outfitting the clawed cats with these, the declawed one has suffered no more scratches which is great since I was fearing an inevitable trip to an emergency vet. My couch has previously been destroyed, so I can't tell if these prevent damage to furniture. And it's really quite funny to see your cat wear these. To get these applied, you first need to teach your cat learned helplessness. If you don't have the time to do that, consider tranquilizers, someone to help, or complete insanity which you will refer to as perseverance. Do hold onto the cat for awhile after all the tips are on to prevent it from trying to bite them off before the glue dries. This is often a difficult and frustrating task unless you are watching someone else do it. Then it is hilarious. Be prepared to super glue your fingers together or to the cat. And be prepared to replace some of these right away. Some last for weeks, others fall off right away. You should also keep an eye on the ones that last for a long time. Significant nail growth can push the tip into the pad of the paw. Trim it like you would the nail and then peel it off carefully. Other tips: go to the bigger size if in doubt. My fat 17 lb cat needs the large to xl and my 10 lb cat needs the medium. Trim their nails first. Have acetone, band-aids, and benedryl on hand. *I personally do not believe in declawing and I didn't have her declawed, a previous owner did. Probably because she is a spiteful bag of fur.

Prevent Damage Without Having to Declaw Your Cats
Whoever invented claw covers is a genius. They have protected our house and furniture from damage from our cats. It is a process to put these on your cat, and we have found it works best with two. One holds that cat, while the other holds it. The first person then trims each claw, and then one at a time, fills a cover with a little glue and then slips it completely over the claw. They stay on well and work just like advertised. They can sometimes still scratch the carpet and there is a little bit of a hook at the end of the cover, but it is nothing like without them. You do have to be vigilant on checking their claws to make sure that they are all on, as they slough off individually at varying different speeds. I can attest that even with just one claw uncovered, they can do damage. I also recommend that you use a color that will stand out against your cats fur so you can do a quick visual inspection to see how many need to be replaced. We use these on two of our cats and will continue to use them the rest of their lives.

I suppose they are comfortable, my Man does not fight against them!
I like the product for it's size and my cat groomer likes them. I have a very special man, Scottish Straight Ear instead of fold and he would be thrilled to scratch my whole house up! So, his big beautiful self meets with his groomer every couple of months. Takes a bath, shaves his "mess" and get's his nails done! My "Gentry" Super Puss!!!

Easy application, great alternative to declawing!!
These nail caps are great! My cat scratched my daughter and that is a huge no-no for us. We have declawed cats in the past and know how rough it is on them, not to mention expensive. So far my cats are doing great with these on. A recommendation I have is to cut off some of the cap so its a little more snug and doesn't make retracting the claws uncomfortable. Yes you will have to reapply some of the caps a couple of times but it is definitely worth it. I got the caps on in about 5 minutes. Very easy to do.

good for back claws
These work great for back claws. I think it's definitely a 2 person job-my bf has to hold the cat while I cut his nails and glue these on. The cat doesn't mind as long as we make it quick, but I have a very laid back old cat. I have to replace 1-2 of the claw covers every week or so, but it's easy to reuse the claws that fall off. My last package probably lasted for a year or more. Great price on amazon and I love the purple color--I've tried blue and red too, but purple is the cutest on my orange boy cat. He's a rescue and came to me without front claws, so I'm not sure if they would stay on the front claws, since cats scratch so much. I would like to know if they would work on the front claws, in case I get a kitty someday.

Saved us $500!!!
We got these before a temporary rental in a furnished apartment prior to a major move across country. They kept our 2 cats from scratching the leather sofa and costing our security deposit. They last for over a month per application and we just replaced a couple at a time. They go on so easily. We clip our cats claws ourselves so this was a piece of cake! The cats never chewed on them or fussed with them. It was like they couldn't even feel them and our cats are 20-30lb Maine Coons, 7 and 8 yrs old. I am a firm believer in NOT declawing cats. This is a humane alternative. I will never be without these if I can help it. THANK YOU for this amazing product!!! I gotta go and place a reorder now....seeee ya!

Doesn't stick well
My cat liked them well enough. Luckily, I was shown how to put them on by a vet tech, and she showed me that they are a little too long, so we cut each one down a sliver and they fit perfectly. However, within a day, the first one was off and the last one only lasted about a week and a half.

Sturdy
Although these were of good plastic quality, they were hard to manipulate. I followed the directions but my cat had most of them off in the first day.
