Goes on smooth and dries fast
I am using this to fix a rotted-out area along the base of the wood siding, where the deck and the house meet. After removing the loose wood and applying wood hardener, I spread generous amounts of this wood filler into the holes. It went on very smoothly with a putty knife and didn't fall out. It dries completely to a hard surface pretty fast - in my case I waited overnight, but it likely had hardened before that. I sanded it down & painted over it and although its texture is different, it blends in pretty well with the original siding. I ran out before finishing though, so if you decide to get this, keep in mind a little does not go a long way so you might want to buy a larger size.

Works exceptionally well, especially with darker stains
I used this to repair a large hole in my dark stained white oak hardwood floors that a contractor left for me.... IT was an accident but geez. This filled in a 3 inch long and 1 inch deep hole (took 2 applications, should have done it in 3 or more but I was in a hurry). It hardened up extremely well and took the dark stain. Yes, you can still see the blemish but you have to look really hard for it. This is really good stuff and I think you will be very pleased with it.

Not stainable with oil based stain
Oops, first-time stainer here. Had to refresh the kids' play set and there were many cracks opening up in the boards. Filled them with this stuff before staining. I actually watered it down a lot because it was hard to spread. After staining it was very obvious in the spots I filled

It is very greedy, and takes longer to dry than you would think.
It is very gritttyy and hard to spread and smooth. Takes longer to dry than you would expect. Other than that it is an excellent product and I would recommend it to anyone.

much easier and cheaper than Bondo Wood Filler
I had some rot on the side of my house behind the siding that I needed to patch up. I removed all the rot, then sealed what was left with J-B Weld 40001 Wood Restore Liquid Hardener, which worked great. But the area of rot was deep enough that I felt like I needed to fill it. Initially I tried using Bondo Wood Filler. I was lured by they quick (too quick actually) dry times. Really the only good things about the Bondo were that it worked and it dried very quickly. But it was super hard to use, as you have to apply it within about 3 minutes. It also smelled gross and I couldn't get all of it out of the can due to the overhanging lip. It was also expensive. After one can I gave up and looked for something better. Then based on reviews I tried the Minwax filler. It's a great product. It goes on easy, sands well, and appears to be very water resistant after drying. The only downsides are 1) you need to wait about half a day between each 1/2" layer, and 2) you really have to get it off your tools fast. I accidentally left some on my putty knives overnight and now even having soaked them in water for 36 hrs it won't come off!

Not so easy to spread, not so stable
Not so easy to spread, not so stable. Too grainy. Easily cracks when dried. It works, but I'll look for something else.

Great product, holds up well and provides solid fill. Just need larger portions!
We had 2 small to medium size holes in the trim on either side of our garage where the wood had rotted out from water and touching the ground. I got one of these 16oz tubs to see how it would work and it works perfectly, spreads in easily with about any spreader tool that you like or even gloved hands. It is moldable and adhered fine to the existing wood but it was not so sticky or messy that it caused any problems like some different fillers I have used. I have no complaints at all other than wishing they sold a larger tub at a discount, as the 16oz is not enough to fill more than very minor holes/dents on its own. When dried it feels solid and has been resistant to the rain and weather, though I do plan on putting a sealer over it to protect it long term.

confiable y buen resanador
Me gusto, tiene fibras de madera, pero su grano no es tan fino, por lo que no sirve para pequeños detalles. Es facil de lijar, y se puede entintar
