Happy with it, but it programming has bugs.
Mowing my backyard felt like riding a bucking bronco. I had lost dozens of trees to various bugs and diseases a decade ago. Over the years the stumps decomposed and the yard had low spots everywhere the trees once were. My backyard is very steep and a rain storm would easily wash out any new dirt, so I needed to water the new grass seed twice a day to get the grass growing as quickly as possible. My water pressure is low and can only run one sprinkler at a time. With 20-30 tree stumps needing leveled, trying to water all of them twice a day by hand would take the entire day. Knowing I did not have enough time to do this I started looking into water timers. Playing with sprinklers I figured I could cover everything with 7 sprinklers. I did not find a 7 zone product, so I purchased 2 Melnor 4-zone water timers instead. The first timer I set zone 1-3 to run for a half hour at 5:00, 5:30, and 6:00 accordingly, and the 4th zone to run 3 hours between 6:30 and 9:30. I then attached the second Melnor water timer to zone 4 of the first timer. I then set each zone on the second timer to run every half hour at 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, and 8:30. I allowed an extra half hour on each side of the second timer to allow for time differences between the timers. Not all sprinklers needed to run for the same time. Some only needed to run for 10 minutes, while others needed to run for 25 minutes. I could easily adjust each zone to run for a different time. The timer was set to run both morning and evening. I only need 2 cycles programmed, but the timer allows for 4 cycles. Each zone can have a custom time to be turned on, and each zone and cycle and be programmed for different run times. Very powerful and somewhat easy to program. I set everything up and was pleased with the results. The first couple of days I adjusted the watering timers for each zone. If the area was mud, I would decrease the run time, if the area seemed dry I would increase it. After a couple of adjustments I did not need to mess with the timers any more. It has been a couple of weeks and the new grass is coming in very nicely. The programming issues... I thought it had broke the next day as it was showing the watering symbol, but no water was coming out. I was getting ready to return it, but decided to research the issue first. Turns out the timers get easily confused when you mess with them when running. If you try to run manual cycles when they are programmed to be on, when turn them off rainy days and then turn them on during a cycle, they do weird things. Basically they can't walk and chew gum at the same time. Only turn them off when they are not running, only use manual mode when they are not scheduled to run and things go much better. If think things are not working the best thing to do is leave everything alone and see if the problem exists next schedule. The random issues are frustrating, but I am happy with my purchase and my new grass is growing nicely.

Works and warranty backed up.
I purchased and installed a 4-zone timer in 2021. Worked quite well for nearly 2 years but then it c Cct will not keep timing. I requested help and the company PROMPTLY requested that I send an address for a replacement. They sent the replacement now working perfectly well since, albeit only set up about 6 weeks ago! :)

Perfect so far!
I got the 2 zone a few days ago and all is perfect. No leaks! I did use Teflon tape on the hose bib threads. And the outlet threads on this unit. Just in case. Also replaced the hose washers. This is being used for lawn watering with 2 sprinklers. Using 2 at the same time reduces sprinkler pressure too much. So using alternate zones for watering solves that for now. Watering with one zone does not seem to reduce pressure! Big plus for me. I was worried about pressure drop. Not anymore! I purchased another 2 zone timer for the other hose bib. So I can use 2 sprinklers at once. And I will be using 4 total sprinklers after I get that one for whole yard coverage. I find programming easy. Some may be confused or find it difficult. No sure yet how to delete one or more of the four timers. It's not in the instructions. Maybe just set watering time for 0 min? Watch this review for updates! I will keep it updated. Next update will have pics. 7 (Seven) year warranty is a no brainer :D EDIT: Got the second timer. Works perfect. My hose bib has a drip. I will get that fixed. I used new hose washers where needed and Teflon tape everywhere. No leaks anywhere except the the hose bib. It has always leaked and it not related to this install. So now I have 2 2zone timers. One on the front bib and one on the back. Will be using a 6-8am watering schedule. 2-3 days a week. Best to water grass early and heavy about twice a week. Pics of the back timer attached. Will update as needed. Another edit: I put a plastic bag over the back timer since really heavy thunder storms were moving in. Kept it dry! Supposed to be waterproof but, you never know. The front timer is connected to a leader and is inside a hose reel box. It stayed dry :D There is some confusion about the model numbers. I bough the 65076-AMZ. It says that on the box it came in. That is the Amazon bundle sku. Not the product model number. If you go to Melnor, the model number for that timer in the Amazon bundle is 73100. That is the HydroLogic timer. Mine says 73100 19E on the back. It's the correct model for the 65076 Amazon bundle. The bundle has 3 extra screen washers. Melnor site shows another model called the AquaTimer. It has yellow buttons. That may be the older model. Model number is 63100 for the 2 zone. Home Depot has different model numbers too. Same devices as the HydroLogic. But with yellow buttons. Their version is called AquaTimer. The 2 zone is Model # 76100-HD EDIT Sept: Both still work. Took them off already. Lot of rain lately. I suggest using Teflon tape on all the hose connections. And new washers. Protect it from direct sunlight. Protect it from rain. That bag I used in the pics below worked really well! The other was protected by being placed in the hose reel. EDIT: JUNE 2021 Both still work great!

Great item
I have used several of these for drip irrigation and they work great! I had one unit that leaked and seller promptly sent a replacement. Great item, great seller, would definitely buy this item from this seller again.

Long objective review. Not a bad item.
Got this for a great deal, needed a four zone. Review time: Before purchasing I read many reviews about this, as always with a grain of salt to go with all complaints about it. Package left me wondering if it was a knock off, so far it's still functional. Instructions, where fairly easy to get through. Pretty well explained. EXCEPT, for the batteries! There is no instructions on how to install them, and it seems easy enough to figure out, bit the tray needed some extra jiggling and finessing to get out. Part of the reason star was lost. Construction, people who complained about it being cheap or any units breaking, I can see that happening if you drop it of any other significant impact. The plastic housing is the type of plastic you expect to break. Especially the way this unit is designed from the inlet port to the first and last outlets there is some potential for torquing pressure on this it might snap off at a weak outlet. My suggestion, if able to secure your hoses to a wall or backboard to eleviate and extra tension/weight on the ports. Lost the complete star for those reasons. Otherwise, programming and usability is fine. Easy to read screen. Simple functions after learning them. I would recommend this at the price point, just caution on where to install it, especially if you have kids that like to play soccer (or other like activities).

Extremely useful water timer!
Our water regulation allows us to water only on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays from midnight to 6am, so we were looking for a timer for our front and backyard that could be programmed every specific days not just every second day or third day or on odd and even days and this is the only one we found that could do this. You can program up to 4 zones with 4 different cycles. For example, Zone 1 has the front yard hose hooked up and every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday that hose turns on at midnight and we have it programmed to shut off after one hour, then Zone 2 in the backyard turns on at 1:01 am for an hour also, then Zone 3 (another backyard hose) turns on at 2:01am and shuts off at 3:00am then a minute later Zone 1 goes through another cycle and the same goes for the other two zones for a total of six hours. Zone 4 has a hose attached for manual watering. It's been a huge help for us not having to move sprinklers, remembering when to water, for how long etc...I highly recommend this timer.

Don't buy this if you're in Australia.
Amazon shouldn't sell this product in Australia as the thread on the hose connector is American (GHT) and hoses in Australia need a BSP (British Standard Pipe). Another review on this product claims you can contact the manufacturer directly and they will post out adapters free of charge. This is not the case. I contacted them and was advised they cannot send adapters and that this product is not meant for sale in Australia. Buying 4 adapters will cost almost as much as the timer itself so I have returned the product for a refund.

Really like this timer!
Replacing a 2 zone Orbit timer with this one and super glad I made this choice thanks to some random review on the Orbit one mentioning this one. The buttons are nice to press and the menus are relatively simple. There was a couple moments where the setup seemed difficult to get the clock set correctly without programming all the zones right then, but once the clock was set the rest was a breeze. I especially like that you don't have to use all the zones, I'm only using 3 right now, and that you can choose per zone if you want to water on a cadence (ie: every 4 days) or on specific days of the week (any day Monday through Sunday, or any combo of days). It's quiet when a zone turns on/off, quieter than the Orbit timers (big clunk sound), and comes with screens for all the nozzles, that's a nice touch. Very pleased, great value!

Way better than other well known brands
I had earlier bought Orbit 3 zone timer when this popped up on Amazon in similar products list. Checked the rating and reviews and decided to order one just to compare. I ended up keeping the Menor 4 zone time and return the Orbit timer. Here are the reasons that made Melnor the clear winner over Orbit. 1. Compact - Melnor 4 zone is a tad smaller than Orbit 3 zone. 2. Hardware - The look and feel of Melnor is better than Orbit. Also the internal mechanism on Menor is quieter than that of Orbit. 3. Zones - Melnor has 4 zones whereas Orbit has 3 zones. 4. Scheduling - Orbit allows scheduling from every 6 hrs to once every 7 days (or once a week) for each zone. Melnor allows you to either select the schedule same as Orbit, or select days of the week when you want the sprinklers/irrigation on each zone to run. 5. Scheduling Plus - One big winner for Melnor is that within each zone, not only can you select the days it should run, but also set 4 different cycles and durations within each zone for the days you selected. 6. Maximum Rain delay duration - Orbit goes up to 72 hours only. Melnor goes upto 7 days. 7. Finally the Price - Melnor 4 zone timer, in spite of packing in all the above extras is cheaper than Orbit 3 zone timer (or at least it was cheaper when I had ordered them). To sum it up, even if you need just 3 zone timer, I would suggest to go for Melnor and have that extra zone just in case you add something in the future, since there is no other reason you would want to buy the Orbit.
