My favorite feeder!!!!
This is my absolute favorite feeder! Give it a few weeks/a little time ... you will be amazed at the variety of birds that will learn to eat the peanuts from this feeder (including cardinals). I LOVE THIS FEEDER! (I only use it for peanuts.)

Squirrel Proof!
I watched a squirrel crawl all over this and it could not get the peanuts and finally gave up! I love this feeder and so do the birds!

Excellent Squirrel Buster Feeder
First and foremost…… have patience. I was initially discouraged and disappointed the feeder was totally ignored. I thought about packing the feeder and sending back. But I stayed the course. Filling only a couple inches of peanuts and changing the peanuts every few days. Hanging the feeder near a suet and sunflower feeder I thought may help. Finally, after about three weeks I noticed a downy woodpecker at the feeder. Then a red belied woodpecker. I have had the feeder now about six weeks. The birds finally figured how to use the feeder. I get woodpeckers, chickadee, titmice, finches and clinging and pulling the peanuts out and flying off with their prize. And the squirrels do not even bother to try to get to the peanuts anymore. Very active feeder, minimal waste with peanuts. I have tried the peanut nuggets in the feeder but the birds are not interested in that food item. So back to peanuts with quite a variety of birds clinging and feeding and squirrels foiled.

Best Birding Investment
The company that makes these feeders, make all kinds of great feeders for different birds and feed. They are all fantastic and are a great investment. Are they more expensive, yes. BUT you get your money back within weeks from all the waste you ELIMINATE from NOT feeding the damn squirrels! Take for instance their suet feeder. We only fill it once ever two weeks. With regular feeders, we were doing two or three times a week. Highly recommend.

Well-made starling proof nut feeder which replaces the old Brome peanut feeder
My order for a "brome peanut feeder" was "lost" w a different seller acting odd giving no answers until amazon intervened; since i got no product, i got a swift 98.00 credit. I had to call Brome, a Canadian company, who will not talk on phone due to SarsCoV2 and emails were even difficult to get clarification- they finally said " Nut feeder has replaced peanut feeder w a few enhancements"- rude and seemed evasive but after several emails, that was all the product info I got. LOTS OF CONFUSION about product. I wish ellers made this stuff clear. I ordered this one I am reviewing: Brome "NUT FEEDER"...FYI the only place a bird can eat is that middle area of about 2"- the area that gets shrouded when a squierrel hops on (at about 1.5 lbs.). Awesome feeder comes w 2 difference meshes that are interchangable for that 2" feeding area- bigger and smaller sized holes in mesh. 1.3lb capacity. (a regular size plasticjar of peanuts is a pound). There are Youtube videos of this feeder put out by Brome. Looks like another well designed product but may take clinger birds a bit of time to figure out where the go to get a nut. I am experimenting using the bigger hole mesh. We'll see if critters disturbing the feeder cause spillage of peanuts. Will try and remember to update. Idea of this feeder is well thought out and I love the idea they let you chose which size "feeding area mesh" you want to use. With the bigger mesh it looks like if feeder got jossled around a lot w critters other than birds, some smaller peanuts could fall out. Capacity is only 1.3 lbs but you dont want peanuts sitting in the elements for days or weeks anyway- they spoil easy. I hope this well designed feeder works! Ok 3 weeks later I like feeder a lot. Starlings try but cannot feed from this- no perches and thye have great difficulty clinging, then seems like so much flapping the shrowd closes off the feed area- so thats a win. Took 3 weeks for my birds to feed here- they would approach feeder, and flap, maybe cuz they look like the other feeders in the yars- but no perches so at first they flew off. Nuthatches and 2 kinds of woodies use this feeder. I take suet down a lot when starlings start coming and the peanuts are a good substitute, at least in my book..3 weeks later: almost starling proof-even w suet removed I am having in influx of starlings for past 4 days- shroud on this feeder comes half way down so its vey frustrating for them to get a peanut.. & exhausting, Have resisted taking it down hoping they'll move on. I wish I could tighten tension just a hair more to make shroud shut w the weight of a starling...

unbelievable customer service
I am still experimenting with this but so far so good. it is one of the more ingenious feeders with two kinds of mesh etc. to foil squirrels. I hope the inventor wins some prize. The main reason for my high review at this point is that I called the company because I was a little confused about how to use it and set it up and it is a little complicated although the directions are good. I called the company and actually reached someone immediately who Face Timed me and took me through the in's and out's of set up and actually could view the unit while I set it up. She was delightful .How often do companies offer that kind of prompt and detailed service nowadays?

Great feeder
I've owned this for 5 years and given as a gift. It works best with the peanut pellets, only tried shelled peanuts once. Woodpeckers, flickers, bluebirds, and jays especially love this. It is the only feeder I own that is truly squirrel and raccoon proof, they have never gotten to the feed. Built to last too, after 5 years there is no sign of paint chipping, rust, etc, and no failed parts either. I've found the best way to clean it at end of season (start of summer) is with the pressure washer or a high pressure stream from a hose. It does not require frequent cleaning, once a year seems fine.

Squirrel proof and keeps nuts dry!
A little pricey but very worth it. I have tried most feeders on the market and this is one of the best. I now own two, one for peanuts and one for suet nuggets. They are popular with many birds including woodpeckers, nuthatches, titmice, chickadees, sparrows, wrens and even the occasional cardinal. If you hang then properly they are truly squirrel proof and even the raccoon is thwarted. The peanuts stay dry and do not spoil in this feeder. It has several parts and cleaning is easy but I often have to refer back to the video to remember how to put everything back together properly. Occasionally a nut will get stuck in the spring mechanism and prevent it from popping back open but these are not difficult to clear out. I had one bag of nuts that got stuck constantly so I think the size may be a factor. My usual brand doesn’t do this too often. Overall this is definitely worth the money and with care will last a very long time.

It actually works!
Herefordshire UK. The little birds found it in 2/3 days and began feeding on it regularly after 10 days. It doesn't need filling up much as there are no squirrels feeding off it. Brilliant!

Disappointing. Not Squirrel Proof
Nuts escape from feeder and jam the lower section, meaning the outer sleeve doesn't slide down and it isn't Squirrel-Proof, as claimed.

The perfect squirrel proof nut bird feeder
This is the second Squirrel buster feeder I've bought, the first being for seeds now this one for nuts. The design on these is positively brilliant. The food is keep dry and safe from the elements. The spring mechanism that closes the feeder when anything too heavy is on the feeder is also protected from the elements and has worked perfectly through a Canadian winter of snow and ice. It's easy to remove to clean. Large birds like bluejays have no problem with the mechanism, but squirrels ... The first few days the squirrel could not even figure out how to get on the feeder, every time he came down on it, it moved and he fell. After a few days he got on the feeder and the feeding port closed perfectly. The squirrel got nothing, as you can see in the picture!

Deters bully birds.
I have hairy and downey woodpeckers in my backyard. I’ve been feeding woodpeckers for years. Every summer the starlings and jays come in and clean out the peanuts in a matter of hours. This is actually working. Has a great weight adjustment range. While no weight adjuatable feeder is totally squirrel and bully burd proof this is one of the best ones I’ve had. I have to admit I also get a kick out of watching the bigger birds try and figure out where those peanuts went when they hop on the feeder. Kudos to yhe manufacturer for the design. I’ll recoup the cost in peanuts within the first year.

It does bust them!!
The media could not be loaded. Though it took a while to come, now that it is here, it takes its place amongst all the other buster feeders I have. Even ordered the suit version to round out the anti-squirrel drive. Lots of unhappy squirrels feeding off what the birds drop on the ground now!
