A good choice for people who've never used a grinder before...

I ordered a bag of ground coffee online, but it was accidentally sent to me as whole bean. Instead of returning it, which would have been a pain in the butt, I decided to buy a grinder. The fact that this one was cheap and seemed easy to use, held much appeal, since it was my first experience grinding my own coffee. It is indeed easy to use. I didn't have to look at the directions much to figure out how it works. But some experimentation might be needed for a person to figure out how finely they want their coffee grinded. I've only had it for a few weeks, so I can't comment on if it is built to last. But it was cheap, and you get what you pay for, so I don't expect it to work forever. It suits my needs for the time being, which is good enough. The only downsides is that the cord doesn't want to stay wrapped around the bottom, so I've given up on trying to make it do that. And it only grinds a small amount of coffee. I have a 6 cup coffeemaker, and it's just enough to make a pot. But you would probably have to grind more than one batch for a larger coffeemaker. And it would take a long time to grind all of the beans in a 12 ounce bag at once. I don't have the patience for that, so I just grind what I need to make a pot. The noise it makes doesn't bother me, but I am not an early riser, so I don't have to worry about waking other people up in my household while making coffee. It could be a nuisance for people who live in shared living spaces that are small though. It only takes me a few minutes to grind the amount I need, so the noise doesn't last for too long. I am happy with the product, and the coffee I've grinded in it tastes really good. But I will splurge on artisanal brands, so the fact that the beans are supposed to be high quality, affects the taste as well. It does seem a bit fresher than coffee that is purchased already ground, but I don't think it is a huge difference. So yeah, I recommend this product to other novices, and people who aren't too particular about how their coffee is made. It's not the kind of thing a barista would like, especially since it doesn't have different options for how you can grind your coffee. You just hold the lid down until it looks grinded enough, or at least that's what I do. I haven't given up on buying coffee that is already ground, but it is nice to have the option to buy whole bean if I feel like it.

Great little grinder

My old grinder had worn out and this was on a good deal so I went for it. This thing is fast, quiet, and actually grinds the beans compared to throwing them around so they break apart. The only thing I notice is the oil builds up at the bottom from the coffee beans that needs to be cleaned every few uses. But I believe that is normal with all grinders.

Super happy

I don’t need a burr grinder that breaks the bank. I know how to get the perfect grind with this grinder and it’s well worth the money. No need for the “Gucci” grinders that cost bookoo bucks. Get this. You’ll like it.

Excellent Grinder

I like to have a few grinders for coffee, nuts, herbs, etc. Got this one, and wasn't disappointed. Easy to clean, grinds quickly and really fine, if wanted. 2 thumbs up!
