Great long-lasting odor control
While this isn't the best clumping, the absorbancy & odor control makes up for it. Completely dust free while pouring (huge plus for my allergies). There is a smell when first poured from package, not an unpleasant smell but can be a little strong depending on individual sensitivity. I think the odor is from the enzymes (not 100% sure) but the odor disappears in a day or less. My 2 cats use one box, this last longer for absorbing urine and controlling odor than all the multicat clumping clay litter I've used. The small granular size tracks on paws easily, but does not stick, clump, or matt to paws or longer haired cats. To combat paws from tracking litter, I have a covered box with a mud mat (door mat) as I have found that works better that the litter mats I've tried.

Miss the clay version but kity got sick on the clay and almost died.
We almost lost our kitty due to respritory allergies much like asthma and it enlarged his lungs and they will be scarred even after he recovers. He is much better but still on steroids for a full 4 months. Meantime we were told get rid of the clumping clay litter it contains the clumping material that causes this condition. We are not completely sure it's the clay litter but we were taking no chances and after searching through all the litter options this has decent reviews. Fewer negatives. My negative was when I was going to order 3 more bags and price jumped 3 a bag or about 10 dollars more for the order. So I backed off and ordered just one. This price increase was within in an hour of placing in my order page and I came back to order it after asking husband if he wanted something from Amazon and OUCH Amazon and or Sellers alike let me tell you this is not good marketing period. It insults buyers your customers. Just saying and I am looking at other brands on Chewy now. We live 100 miles to nearest large town where we have a good selection and box stores to buy from so we often order on line. But price jumping like this is insane and annoying and does tick one off. So not a problem with the litter but with the marketing tactics and anti buyer programs. It tracks like other users mentioned. I bought one of those new anti tracking mats the kind with double layers...one below solid and one on top with holes htat help catch the litter off feet of kitty as they jump out of the litter box. That helped a whole lot. I do have an outdoor run I have used for years but did not work as well with this fluffy litter so now I use both and the combination seems to be really helpful. Meantime I am still sweeping the utility and kitchen and main hall daily. Not just to keep this litter picked up but also we are not convinced kit's allergy is just the clay litter. Our house is wood built in the fifties by lumber company for grandaughter and family and it has native wood paneling throughout. It has a strange dust that I have never seen in any home before that's very fiberous which makes me wonder if it is some kind of sloughing off from the wood itself. Meantime it makes you wonder. I had an allergist tell me NO do not move to a wood house you are going to be sorry. Oh yeah he was right my sinus issues are not better for sure but who knew kitties could suffer too. But vets insist it's the clumping clay litter. So we almost lost this kitty he was that ill. The steroid treatments are working. So until he goes off the medicine in March we won't be able to tell if the litter causes any improvement or worsening. And even then we'll have in the back of our minds is it the litter if he gets worse again or this house? I actually studied the dust fiber under the microscope but could not tell what it really is. I even wondered if it's some type of fungus or mold material the wood gives off. (We are talking upwards of 16 and 24 foot straight up walls and open beam all wood ceilings too. Very few walls are dry wall painted Five of the six bedrooms are all wood walls and the two long halls and one short is wood too. One room has brick wall and three dry wall and the three bath's are dry wall. A few ceilings are not wood too. So it's a concern. I've wanted to try some experimenting with clear matte finished poly paint to cover the paneling for years. But my husband is fearful of what it might do...I say it shouldn't harm anything. Clean the walls well even treat them with an antifungus material then apply the clear paint by spray or brush. If the odd dust quit being made e'd know where it developed. And if by chance my allergies and kitties improved that would be a bonus too. Meantime I am looking for this brand and Corn Cob litter from a more reliable source for price and no games.

Great value and smells nice.
Always had used corn cob litter. We have 8yr old cat. This is a great value and we are 1hr from any town really so it been super helpful. 1 bag could fill 2-3 boxes. We use taller ones. Cleans up nice!

Used to love this litter until my house became infested...
I used this litter for years and loved it! It was the only litter that didn't produce a giant dust cloud and didn't stick inbetween my cats toes. Then my husband and I decided to go away for the weekend. I cleaned the box the day that we left. We were technically only gone for a day and a half. When I got home, I went to check on my cat and clean his litterbox. When I scooped up one of the urine clumps, it just so happened to break open and about a hundred plus fungus gnats came flying out and were crawling everywhere. I was mortified!! I went to google and found out that there are quite a few different insects that will live in your cats litterbox and they pretty much all feed on organic matter, like corn. The eggs only take 24-48 hours to hatch so if you are the kind of person who only cleans their cats litterbox every other day, this litter is probably not a good idea for you. Those pesky gnats are still all over my house a week later, causing a major annoyance. Had to switch back to clay litter to fix the problem unfortunately.

Great!
I've tried many different litters in my automatic cleaning cat litter box. The problem I had with other litters is the litter got stuck in the tracks and was difficult to get out. This litter does not stick in the tracks! It does not stink like other litters! I absolutely love it!

The Best Cat Litter from a Serious Cat Rescuer and Cat Lover - Minus the slipperiness when wet
The Best Cat Litter from a Serious Cat Rescuer and Cat Lover - Minus the slipperiness when wet. I have rescued almost 60 stray kitties from the cold and hunger of the streets in many states. They cried in pain and hunger and cold and I scooped them up. But with the love of rescuing cats, I had to find a way to find great litter. I have been through so many brands of litter (at least 15) and this is my favorite at this time unless Nature's Miracle can come up with a way to get rid of the slimy slippery residue when water is in contact with the litter like when I clean the litter dust with a rag. My cats and I alike will slip on the slippery residue :) Other than that, this is super light, smells natural and fresh so people with chemically sensitive noses and brains will enjoy this subtle clean scent without a headache, clumps fast while not wasting any litter. One 20 pound bag can last for 3-4 months for 2 cats who eat normally. Friends dont believe me but its true. Very little is thrown out into the trash. Well worth the money and your back. Plus the bags are the most ergonomic to carry w the perfect handles. It makes it easy to shop and unload from the car because there is no other bag w this handle. Some of the other heavy litter and overly chemically scented in boxes have handles but they are a separate plastic handle added while this is embedded into the bag with makes it very secure. It is the only litter I love and my cats love it also.

Perfect, but he refuses to poop in it
I LOVE this litter. it has a fresh, sweet pine scent that's not overpowering, and is a joy to smell while walking by. no trace of soiled litter smell at all. it clumps neatly and it's easy to remove the clumps without them crumbling. It's not dusty, and doesn't make a mess when the furry user exits the litter pan. However, the furry user refuses to poop in it. I'm not sure why, but ever since switching to this litter, he's chosen to poo in the tub, and this is not something he's done before. I prefer this litter, he does not.

INCREDIBLE
I hate clay litter , I find wood pellets less messy and less smelly BUT theres always so much waste and its hard to remove the pee. THIS IS THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. Clumping, compostable, (flushable even though they say it isn't) I have 5 persian cats and there is NO cat smell! I will never use anything else

Just barely better than clay
I hate clay litter so much, I bought this out of pocket instead of using the shelter-supplied litter for my foster kittens. I bought this because I'd once tried a corn kernel litter that worked and smelled great. Wish I could remember the brand. The good: I like the handle on the bag and that it's resealable. The room and cats aren't covered in clay dust. That's it. As you can see from the first photo, lightweight is not necessarily an advantage. It's like sawdust, which I've also tried. Tracks as badly as clay (2nd photo, just after sweeping) Controlled urine odor only 4 days, even with constant stirring of the soft clumps. Removing the wet clumps will probably help, and I'll try that next. Did not control feces odor well, but I scoop after every BM anyway. Pine scent is unpleasant to me but bearable. If you're going to use it, use a very large box for the amount of litter to control the spillover. These two boxes are for three 4 month old kittens. I switched from a small and a medium box to medium and large. The cats don't seem to mind it, but they like clay best. sWheat Scoop is good. I like pine pellets, but cats don't like pellets much. Even paper pellets like Yesterday's News works better than this. September 24, 2020 Having used this now for a month, it's worse than I first thought. It doesn't control odor at all unless every bit of urine is removed. It even stinks in the next room. Someone came into my bedroom and complained about the odor as soon as she entered the room. I wrote to the company because they offer a satisfaction guarantee. You have to print and mail the receipt to the US, even though I bought it online in Canada. That's one way to make sure no one makes a claim.

BUYER BEWARE!!! VERY, VERY, VERY STRONG, TOXIC LIKE SMELL!!!???
I find everything perfect about this litter accept the strong, very, very strong smell, that smells so bad before you even open the bag, it will stink up your entire house!!! NOT FAIR ON THE POOR ANIMALS AT ALL!!! If it's hard on us, imagine their wee noses that are right in it, no wonder one of the cats pooped in the bathtub on one of the reviews. They are desperately telling you it's too hard on them!!! Why does a manufacturer of something so good, have to ruin it by the smell??? Everything else about this litter is perfect, the bag, the size and price, no dust, no tracking, so why? Just waiting for the day they make this without any scent whatsoever and buyer beware, they have bags that "SAY" unscented and those are the bags that smell so bad!!!!! Those who like the smell should think of their pets!?? Deanna

Gross scent!
Horrible smelling! Smells so strongly of a pine-cleaner scent. Not advertised as such either on the package or in item description online. Returned for full refund thankfully. Otherwise it works similar to my usual corn litter brand. It is still cheaper for me to by from my local store (different brand)
