Very mild pleasant natural odor, worth the price. The only barley litter sold in the US.
This clumps well and suppresses all odors. It is crazy how quickly you can sift it with widely spaced wire scoops. I put the two I use below. When it is sitting in the box, it has absolutely zero odor. When you sift it, the litter smells mildly like the sawdust at a circus. Good value
We used this litter that was not the light version for probably a year. The difference between the lightweight and the normal is absolutely amazing. I cannot believe we didn't switch sooner. It's still is Dusty, even though it says it's dust free. But there is less dust then other brands

Definitely Recommend
I have three cats, two of which are 15-20 lbs each. I’ve been using the Breeze litter box system for the past few years and found it to be consistently frustrating. I decided to switch to a stainless steel litter box and tested this litter (Boxie Cat Air) along with a second, similar litter called World’s Best Multi-Cat unscented. I would highly recommend Boxie Cat Air over this other brand. The BC Air litter has a pleasant scent (smells a little bit too artificial but is generally fine), has wonderful clumping, and after using for a week has not lost its pleasant smell. Often times, I find the scent is nice as first but starts to sour after a few days. The clumping (especially compared to the other is great). One of my cats has a tendency to pee in the same spot so I usually have very large clumps that are hard to scoop in one go. I am able to split the clump in half with the scoop without a ton of crumbling! Especially compared to the other brand which has a lot of crumbling and leftover bits. If you are looking for a reliable, mid-price, environmentally friendly litter option I would highly recommend. I did not give a 5 star just because I don’t think it’s the BEST but I would say it is my favorite at the moment.

Dust-free and Long-lasting, would recommend this litter
I've been trying to find the "best" litter for a multi-cat household, and so far, this one has been working well. I have a few areas that I care about: 1) Dust/Cats' Safety - Far better than average This litter is the closest to dust-free of all that I have tried (silica, clay, pellet). They all say dust-free, but this one and pellet litter are the only ones I've tried that actually uphold that claim in my experience. It does not seem to agitate my cat that is respiratory-sensitive, so that is a big plus. Compared to other litters, it seems like this one is the safest since it is way less dusty and assumed to be made of plants, but hard to verify considering that ingredients are proprietary formula. 2) Cost - Better than average I have 4 cats and 11.5 lb bag is lasting ~3-4 weeks. For other litters, I usually have to dump the entire litter out each week or more, but this one actually clumps really well so the entire box does not have to be dumped as often. I can dump a box every 2-3 weeks, I scoop daily. 3) Smell - Slightly better than average With clay litter, I can usually smell things on occasion, in the least it makes my house smell like clay litter. With this litter, I can smell things on occasion but less than clay litter. It kind of has a chicken coop smell at times, but the scent does not stick in the room like clay litters which makes it very easy to mask and generally unnoticeable. 4) Tracking - Average There is definitely tracking with this litter. The only litter that hasn't tracked for me though is pellet litter, so I would put this on par with others. Note on clumping - this clumps very well! Only trouble is it kind of sticks to the box, making it harder to scoop. I'd recommend a sifting litter box and then it is easier to scrape off the tougher clumps.

Watch your pets - WILL EAT IT
I am writing this review as a warning to future potential buyers. I have seen other reviews mentioning that their pets were very tempted to and ate this litter right away. I am going to confirm this. This is my first purchase of the “ new “ light weight air formula. Immediately upon placing it in the litter box 1 of my dogs was immediately attracted to it. I was able to stop him from eating it then went about my business, when not 20 minutes later my larger dog was found in the litter box eating mouth fulls like it was a thanksgiving dinner. I immediately stopped her and blocked the litter box and had to induce vomiting - as this is a CLUMPING LITTER. There are NO ingredients on the bag, so it is unknown what this is actually made of, if it is toxic or any hints as to why this litter is so appealing for pets to eat. Eating a stomach full of clumping litter could be potentially VERY hazardous. I am just glad I was there to catch it in time and induce vomiting as to not cause a possible obstruction. The company should be aware of this issue and I will be reporting it directly to them so they can make the necessary changes before someone’s pet possibly gets into a world of trouble. Update: after speaking to the company they are aware of the issue, took feedback and are sending replacements of the normal clay litter. It appears the ingredient for the “ air “ is barley. We have used the original clay formula just fine for over a year and have been happy with it. I am glad they were receptive to the issue and provided an immediate response for resolution :) . Thank you.

Best Litter
If you buy this for your cat— you will never switch to another brand again and your cat will love it. The best part is it’s lightweight and easy to maintain cleanliness.

No more dusty, smelly, messy clumps
This is honestly the best cat litter I have yet to use. It definitely lives up to all of its claims. It is almost completely dust free and has a clean, fresh scent (I purchased the gently scented). I have had cats my whole life and was a breeder for some time. This is the first time I have been completely happy with a product. I find most clay based clumping litters have almost a sour undertone/smell to them after the first use. No matter how my cat has “digested” his dinner, and even before cleaning, it just seems to absorb all the odour! In addition, the clumps are hard and don’t break up on you when you scoop them, leaving those tiny, smelly little chunks that always seem to sift through your scooper. It is just an added bonus that my boy no longer gets what we affectionately call stinky “litter paws”. While it does cost a little more, it is well worth it considering I can go twice as long without changing my litter totally. I also find it doesn’t seem to stick to the bottom of the pan and therefore I don’t have to wash and sanitize his box every full change either. While I don’t use one now, I have had the automated litter boxes in past, as well as the “roll and sift” boxes and this would be the perfect product to use with them. The bottom line is it is a fantastic product that is well worth the money. I will NEVER go back to the other brands.

Best Litter EVER
Literally the best cat litter I have ever used. I have been a cat person my whole life and over the years I have tried A LOT of litter. The main thing for me is the smell of the litter box as my sense of smell is pretty keen. I was previously using pine pellets as they absorbed the smell very well, but it was messy. One day we adopted a new cat and he hated the pellets and pooped on the floor, which led our other cat to do the same. We realized if we were gonna get them back in the box we had to change the litter, so we tried Pretty Litter and they loved it but that litter has a sickening smell of it's own. Thanks to the fact that AI algos are always scanning, Amazon suggested Boxie Cat and it was a game changer! No smell, scoops well and the cats love it.

Not a fan of this new line.
I love the old Boxiecat Gently Scented Premium Clumping Cat Litter - Clay Formula, but they are currently out of stock and I tried this one. I hate the smell of it, the urine and feces seem to stick to the box more instead of being suspended in the litter for easy scooping. I am not a fan, I hope the old one is back soon!

Holy Grail of kitty litters!
This is the HOLY GRAIL of cat litters. I have been using boxiecat litter for a while, but this lightweight formula is the best cat litter I have ever used. The smell is pleasant, it doesn’t smell overly scented but you can’t smell cat pee. My favourite part is that the cat pee gets absorbed into this little jelly puck that holds its shape when you scoop but doesn’t stick to the box (or smell bad). It’s exactly the clumping effect that I’ve always wanted in a cat litter, but usually it’s crumbly, stinky, stuck to the bottom of the box instead. I’m setting this up on my first auto ship ever, and I hope they keep making it forever. Dream product.

Excellent litter - No Odour!
I've tried so many types of littler and I think the search is over. I give this 5 stars for the best overall performance and decent price. This stuff is super easy to clean and my cat's litter never smells of anything, which is amazing. The only thing I do not like is that it tracks (to be fair it doesn't make it more than 2 feet from the little box), but that is a small price to pay for an odour-free home. Will repurchase this!
