Great almost zero tracking pellet litter, no smell, feels much cleaner, but takes creativity to get the scooping figured out.
As someone who has searched high and low for a cat litter that would not end up in my bed and all over my floor, I LOVE this product (Okocat for long hair breeds). My little bundle of hyperactivity (aka a part Saimese, medium/long haired beauty named Mia) loves to dig deep into her cat litter. She also loves to leap straight out of her litter box and right onto my poor, ever suffering, bed. As someone who has to keep the box in my room (due to space requirements and a waaaaay too curious puppy dog), having a clean space is super important to me and as such, I have been struggling with maintaining a clean environment for myself and my cat since I got her 6 months ago. Every other litter has ended up everywhere, and has either had dust issues (I have allergies), an overwhelming smell/perfume issue, or is just generally unhealthy for my Mia (I'd much rather she not get lung cancer or asthma from using clay litters, but will admit that until now, clay had been the best option for us). Alas, I thought I was going to have to live with little disgusting pieces of litter in my bed and on my floors forever. Also, crystals were not an option because my last cat actually died from health problems caused by his crystal cat litter (it was horrible and I highly suggest that people research health concerns related to crystals before innocently bringing it into their homes...). Anyway, after trial and error with just about every cat litter under the sun (thank goodness I have an adventurous cat who will try anything), I ran into Okocat for long hair breeds. So, all the good things about this litter: 1. There is almost no tracking at all (just a bit around the box when an excited kitty jumps out). 2. There is no smell other than a slight wood smell right after the cat pees (if you notice a smell after your cat poops, try adding another inch or 2 of pellets as my cat just needed the extra pellets to figure out how to get everything covered), 3. It feels/seems cleaner due to Okocat claiming that it kills 99% of all bacteria (unlike other litters that only claim to kill odor causing bacteria...what about all the other nasties?!). 4 It clumps pretty well (they do break up some, but I have a solution for that issue if you read further) for a natural litter. 5. It is natural and healthier for my cat than other options. The downsides (not many, but worth considering): 1. You'll have to shop around because the prices on here can be good some days and terrible the next. Recently, I found this litter on another site for $10 less per box...so yeah...make sure you are getting the best price. 2. There is some dust. It's not horrible, but if you have allergies like me, you'll want to use a sifter of some kind to put clean litter in so you don't end up pouring sawdust in the litterbox every time you put new litter in. Also, after a couple weeks of use (even with scooping 2 times per day like I do), you'll notice some sawdust building up in the litterbox just from litter getting crumbled up with digging, etc... Even though it works up my allergies a bit when cleaning, I can accept some coughing (it's just for a few minutes anyway) if it means that I'm not exposing my cat to types of dust that can cause lung cancer down the line - I'd like to note that other types of litter made my cat cough, but this doesn't seem to do that to her as much. 3. It takes some creativity to get the scooping process to actually leave a nice and clean box if you are not used to clumping pellet litter. So, onward to my solution!!! There is no specific scoop that has been made by Okocat for scooping this litter, so you have to find something that won't scoop out too much good litter while also being able to get rid of small pieces that may break away from a main clump of pee while scooping (poop is not a problem. It just dries out and is easy to remove). While some people suggest the Catit litter scoop, this was not useful to me since I have back problems and can't bend down to get at the litter to scoop it without suffering later. So, after some trial and error, I found a great and easy option. First, I got the PURRR-FECT SCOOP (I already had it), which is basically a litter scoop that you can stand while using. The newest version of this scoop has holes at the front that are wide enough to let pellets through and small holes at the back that can capture even tiny broken pieces that might usually be missed when scooping. This is a great scoop. However, it is too small to sift through the whole box quickly and if you scoop too much at once, the whole thing clogs up and is useless. So, I use this just to get the small pieces that escape my main scooper. My main scoop basically had to be made because there are no standing scoopers that have holes big enough for pellets (as far as I could find). BUT, this was easy to do. I found a generic metal scoop in my local Walmart that had huge holes (perfect for pellets) but a tiny handle. So, I spent $2 to get a 1 inch diameter pvc pipe from my local hardware store, had a store employee cut the pipe to about 3 feel long and used waterproof (just in case!) Gorilla tape to tape everything together. I basically just stuck the handle of the metal scoop into one end of the pvc pipe and then wrapped Gorilla tape around it all to keep it strongly attached. I have now been using my 2 standing litter scoops (one bought and one made) for 3 weeks and the scooping process is MUCH easier. I can clean out all clumps, all little broken pieces, etc....and an added bonus is that since I no longer have to bend down to scoop, my face is far enough away from the box when cleaning that my allergies are barely affected by any sawdust that might be around. So, to repeat, I LOVE the litter, but the only reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because aside from the price issues, I had to do a little bit of problem solving to make it perfect for myself. Once that was done, I have found myself happier with Okocat than any other, and my Mia is happy as well.

Good litter, much less tracking, doesn't ship well
Four and a half stars. I've been using this litter for about 3 months now. I have two cats, two litter boxes. Both cats are using this litter, one was a bit more difficult to convince, but she's finicky in general. I like the less tracking version a lot, but know that it is truly LESS tracking, not no tracking. I keep my boxes in the garage, fairly far (15+feet) from the door to the house with a rug and a mat between. Yet every other litter I've tried, my cats still track it into the house. (Sometimes way back into my bedroom!) It gets stuck in the pads of their feet, but this stuff is too big to stick in their feet. So now there's litter around the boxes and some farther around the garage, but it is easy to sweep up (unlike tiny bits of most other clumping litters). As for clumping, this one is a bit different. The clumps are not rock hard, but they work fine. My cats pee a lot and repeatedly in the same place, so their clumps get big. Usually it takes a couple scoops to get each one because they break. That's not an issue for me; I use a long handled scoop I bought on Amazon, which works well with it's wide slots. One minor downside is that it does require more shaking of the scoop to get the 'good' pieces through and back into the box because the pieces are larger. (They don't sift quickly back through.) You will need a scoop with wider slots, but they're not hard to find and this does clump well enough that wider slots are not a problem. I do suggest a deeper one over shallower. I had concerns about how long a single box would last, but it's been good. One medium box has lasted a month for one box, one cat. Odor control is great as long as there's enough litter where the cats pee and not bad even when my cats don't cover their poop. The smell in general is WAY better than clay litter, no ammonia or chemical smell at all. There is a natural wooden smell and some wood dust, which can make me sneeze, but I MUCH prefer that over the chemicals and asthma attacks from clay litters. I've used other natural litters for many years now (ones made from corn, paper, or grass) and find the odor control on this brand far superior. I've purchased four boxes of this through Amazon. Three medium size and one large. The large box was taped together & still completely crushed to the point that it had open corners when it arrived, but at least the litter is in a bag inside the box, so I could still use it. The medium boxes get crushed and litter goes everywhere (no bath inside). The first two medium boxes were okay, which is why I bought another. This one arrived inside an Amazon box with some drink mix and a supplement powder I also ordered. My food was covered in litter inside the Amazon box. So just the jostling inside the Amazon box from the shipping process somehow damaged the box of litter enough for litter to pour out everywhere.

READ THIS!
I was looking for clumping litter that was not clay due to the track marks and the fact it would stick to my cats' paws and bellies. The price of this litter is what hindered me but I bought a box anyway. Let me tell you, I AM NEVER GOING BACK TO ANY OTHER LITTER! I'll tell you why, usually I'd be going through a box of, let's say, Tidy Cats or Arm & Hammer, every month. This litter lasts so much longer! The price is well worth it once you see how long one little bag lasts (obviously with regular cat litter box maintenance) This litter clumps very well. It doesn't track unless Kitters kick it out of the box intentionally. It smells great, natural, not perfume. Doesn't stick to my cats. Easier than clay litter to scoop! Seriously, it doesn't fall apart like some clay litters. Like I said, I will never go back to any other litter. I've used this for a few months now for our 3 cat household. The only somewhat negative point is the litter in our bathroom sometimes absorbs the moisture from showers BUT we remedied that by lining the box with news paper or our left over "Yesterday's News" litter. This was not a paid review. I legitimately love this litter. So do my cats. My boy cat who will only ever go to the bathroom outside even uses it, which, at 430am, has been a delight. Haha.

After owning cats since I was 5, 82 years ago, this is the best kittty litter ever!!!
I have no dislikes about this product. For the price I get litter that lasts longer and which controls odour so well my cleaning lady I just hired did not know I had a cat...she told me that this is the first time since she started cleaning that she could not tell immediately that there was a cat in the house because of smelly kitty litter. If there is a smell it is a pleasant one of very light sawdust. It clots wonderfully and poop is easy sifted out and can be flushed away. My cat is very fussy but she took to this litter very quickly. Wonder of wonders, there is no dust and it hardly tracks the floors unlike all the other litters I have used. And I can order it from Amazon where I am a Prime Member and it is is delivered to my door usually within a day. I have only one small problem...in the economical size I buy, it comes in a cardboard box with no handle or grip places on it, so my almost 90 year old hands find it a little heavy and awkward to move, but I manage though not as easily as I used to handle heavy weights. I know 15 pounds does not sound heavy but then you are not so ancient as I. I love this stuff and so does Stella old fur bag of an alley cat. It is the one thing besides her food, water and me that she is not grumpy anout.

The best cat litter
This cat litter is not cheap, but it is worth the money. The cat loves it, does everything neatly in the middle of her tray, covers it up properly - no more mess over the edges! - the litter stays fresh smelling, and is easy to clean up. Also you don't need to use very much of it. Very satisfied.

great product
We used this product in the US (though it was a bit less expensive), and we were thrilled to find it on Amazon UK as well. It never smells, clumps easily, and lasts far longer than regular litter.

Finally!
We've been using that expensive colourful litter (you know the one). But my dear cat has kidney disease and therefore pees a lot and we were blowing through a bag in about 2 weeks. It was so expensive! My dear one also has very sensitive toes and the clay litter always sticks in her nails and she got dreadful infections so clay is out of the question. This litter is safe for her toes and weve had no issues. This is clean, its relatively low dust considering its wood (once its poured, that is). The scooping takes a little more finesse than other brands but one box lasts us almost two months which is unheard of. Lightweight, great odour suppression, no complaints. I just wish there was a subscription!
