Didn't Work for Our Needs ...

I'm giving it 4 stars because Its hard to give a fair review as we did not use/cut anything with either of the two ordered. The #1 factor is quietness as we cut meats 3-4 times a week, lasting up to 1.5 hours. They both start off with a low growling sound, then move up in pitch within a minute or two. The first one had a high pitch whine. I then ordered a second one and it was somewhat quieter, but the same whine. I let both warm up and ran them for about 30 minutes stopping/starting every 10 minutes or so in hopes they just needed breaking in. Unfortunately neither was quieter than our 10+ year old ChefsChoice. Both are quality built products.

I have worked in food and beverage over the years off and on and have had to use professional meat slicers. I purchased this one so that I could roast and sliced my own Meats at home, thus saving me money. I work on the road and I'm only home for about 2 months out of the year at the end of the year. This product was delivered in August and this is the second time using it. While I was slicing a roast beef I found one of the nuts on what I would think was the screw on the product came off and presented itself on top of the meat. I unplugged the product and searched frantically, let's face it it's a very sharp blade, for the place that this nut had come from. Short of opening up the drive assembly, I searched everywhere externally where this nut could possibly of come from and was never able to find out from where it came. The product works respectively well, however, the fact that this nut has fallen off and I cannot find where it goes has me extremely concerned. If there is anyone out there that is purchased this product or is reading these reviews at the company that it was manufactured in and has an idea where it might go, please let me know. Until then I will not be using it..

Pretty good for the price...

For the price you can't expect a commercial slicer.. You have to have realistic expectations. I wouldn't try to slice 20 pounds of deli meat, it, this slicer isn't made for that. If you expect to slice a 3 or 4 pound roast for sandwiches or a dinner this is your slicer. A big factor in purchase decision is its LEM product. I'm a big LEM fan because LEM has good quality and lem stands behind products with great customer service and support. It's also easy to get parts if needed directly from LEM. Have realistic expectations when purchasing and this slicer will be a great addition to your kitchen..

Well-made quality unit

This is our third slicer, although a little more expensive than the others it is the best quality and easiest to use and clean. We save a lot on lunch meat.

It works well but I wish I would have gotten the bigger one.

I like it. It is easy to clean. Too soon to say if it is a good value. If you plan to use it often, I'd recommend the more expensive one. If you will only use it a dozen times a year, this one id is fine.

Slicer works good just for home use, a little disappointed that instructions say run for only 5 min at a time then let it cool for 30 min. also I wanted a non serrated blade but appears they don't make one, something I should of researched before purchased.

I bought this for my husband as a surprise, but he wanted a slicer with a heavier motor that could handle hard cured salamis. so i returned it unopened. I bought this through Design Tactics and i was very very happy with the customer service and return process.

piece of crap!

Started using the slicer and it got hot and started smoking. Found out that there were pieces missing underneath. Because of Covid we didn't use the slicer right away. The warranty was expired. E-mailed the company and they didn't reply. We even asked if they had parts to replace what was missing.

Cheap looking product for what it is worth.

I ordered this product cause I wanted to slice my vegetables and soft meat , but when I received it one of the tabs that hold on to the slider was broken off , so my husband had to glue it back on, not sure if it will work. To much of a hassle to send back to seller, guess I will be out 90 dollars. I do not recommend this product, waste of money’.
